Undead Unluck is one of my favorite series running right now, and after the anime ended recently I felt like making a little Union emblem was something I needed to do!! Might mold and cast a few of these for my next con.
(Had originally wanted this to play with Queen Bee's "Zero Ichi" but copyright nonsense said that was a problem)

Nearly 200 suspicious spacemen bunnies completed yesterday and set up on my etsy just in time for Easter! I've also got a shop restock and update in the works so stay tuned

Track is The Rippingtons•Lay It Down

The bunnies have multiplied!
A little goblin hands ASMR type stuff because I haven't done one of these in a while. One of the unique pleasures of making tons of tiny plastic trinkets.

About time for a new mat and a new decoration for the crafsdesk
...did you know silicone negates holographic stickers? Because I had no idea

track is "tmnt theme ~ ninja turtles lofi"

I've been toying with some new mold ideas and it's finally time to see how they all came out. Come along on a whimsical journey of mistakes, messes, and HEXAGONAL DESIGN PHILOSOPHY!

Encountered a problem that nearly ruined a whole batch of master sculpts awaiting molds. Fortunately, there's an easy fix!

https://geargrinder.carrd.co/
Been a little while since I made one of these videos.

New molds setup works nicely! I've got some small adjustments to make, as usual, but I can call this experiment a success!

Track used is The Rippingtons•Morocco (Album Version) (feat. Russ Freeman)

This video ended up a little rougher than intended, due to some recording issues. Nevertheless, enjoy me talking about about some apoxie sculpt stuff, some tricks I've learned, and then doing a little work on a magnetic attachment for some pieces on an Among Us Crewmate miniature I've been working on.

Wasted materials are a constant concern for me when I'm doing my moldmaking. Molds can come out wrong or become too worn or broken to be used again or I just end up mixing more silicone than I need and it goes to waste. So I wanted to try recycling old silicone so I could actually do something with all the junk molds I've collected.

Sorry that the audio in the second half is so much louder than the second half. I have no idea what happened and, honestly, I just don't want to have to go in and rebalance the audio and render this thing again.

Just a little back-to-back resin casting. Several weeks back, I was nearly out of resin and there is a bit of a shelf-life on it, so I decided to set up the camera and just knock out as many little gondolas as I could get in one go. The result was 2 hours of footage with a whole lot of repetitive stuff that I've cut down to this easier to digest little snippet of frenzied work.

Also, I'm on twitter now! So check that out if you care about that place.

Time just gets away from you sometimes. Meant to film and post this 4 months ago, but I only got around to editing the footage recently. So, enjoy yet another video about pouring liquids on and in things.

I'm back!.. At least in some capacity. This is something I've been meaning to make for a while and it seems like a perfect way to send off 2018. I've got some old cosplay sitting around and I don't have too many places to keep it, so it's time to get rid of some. Old projects can sometimes be a good source of experience and knowledge you forgot you had... But mostly they contain a bunch of painful lessons you need to refresh yourself on. It sucks having to break down something I worked so hard on, but at the same time, there's nothing really gained from constantly hoarding all your old projects, especially when you're low on storage space.

With these last few molds, the hardest part is done. I may follow this up with a rundown/wrap up video, but for now, there's not much else to say about working on the lantern. It's just gluing and painting from here. Maybe some fooling around with LEDs.

I had to glass over a lot of stuff and leave things maybe a little more vague than I should have, but if I didn't this would be a 30 minute video and I just don't have the time or the energy (let alone the harddrive space) to be making that kind of thing every week!

Also, sorry for making you look at my gross hands for this one. Seems I can't go a single day without scraping or cutting them in some stupid way which isn't even related to crafting stuff.

I think I've done enough videos where I exposit on the finer details of the casting and molding process, so from this point on, I think I might just gloss past that detail simply so I'm not adding 10 minutes or repetitive rambling onto every video.

This is just a short little one about prototyping and figuring out the best way to build the parts before I cast and duplicate them. Turned out to be a little trickier than I was planning. Even if it's not as interesting or informative, at least it's short, right?

A change in my personal schedule, as well as some failed prototyping almost kept me from sticking to my one video per week schedule.

Just a little update to keep the videos going on a semi-regular schedule. The gondola continues to shape up a little bit at a time.

(Bitchute fucked up the upload order again...)
I intended for this to be more about the planning process, but I ended up with a lot to say about reference images, I guess. Gave me an excuse to use the video capture features on the PS4 also

(well, so much for uploading everything in proper order)
Even after lots of editing, this one still came out kind of long. Guess I had more to say than I expected. This time, all about doing math to figure out how big things need to be when you go to replicate them. It's a little bit lowtech compared to other techniques, but that makes it easier to do for less experienced propmakers and cosplayers.

Due to my camera crapping out, this video ended up being much more about the planning process that goes into making a mold, rather than the making of the mold and the pouring of the silicone. Even though my camera is likely going to be out of commission for a number of weeks, videos will continue!

Well... This could have gone better. Maybe Immortalizing my mistakes will stop them from happening again. Probably not.

For now, the mold does a good job now that I've worked out a lot of the kinks, but that doesn't mean that there's not more embarassing failures for me to share. Expect another video, maybe 2, on the Gondola in the near future. Things are going to get... sticky.

I did say at least 1 video a week, right? Oh well. Here's another one. May have sped this one up just a little too much, though.

The first mold I make for the Goblin Slayer mini was a huge learning experience for me. For a started project I decided to build on a whim, it was also fairly successful and made it seem like there might be something to this sculpting and molding thing. After so many castings, it started to wear down. Finer details ripped out of the mold, and eventually a large part of the mold itself ripped clean off.

So, after a few weeks of tweaking the original sculpt, rebuilding it, and prepping it, it was time to make a new mold. After toying with my recording rig and learning a bit more about video editing from the LBX Nightmare video, I needed to keep going with the video making. I think at least 1 video a week is the goal.

Also, I did something different for the music this time around. Instead of using some random music I had laying around, I used Magix Music Maker's built in song maker function to generate some music from the soundpools I had until I had enough to fill the video. I'm pretty happy with the results.
