Stone Mountain is well known for not only its geology,
but also the enormous rock relief on its north face,
the largest bas-relief artwork in the world.

Etched into the rock’s side,
the Confederate Memorial Carving
depicts War generals Stonewall Jackson,
Robert E. Lee, and President Jefferson Davis.

A trail and the Summit
Skyride cable car leads to the rock's peak.
Buildings dating back to 1793 fill the park's
Historic Square.

The carving measures 90 feet tall, 190 feet wide and 11 feet deep. It spans 3 acres and is larger than Mount Rushmore.

Stone Mountain Park is home to the world's
the largest piece of exposed granite.
