Welcome the first episode of FFR. If you haven't guess so already, I am going to be discussing the Nintendo 3DS.

The Nintendo 3DS was announced at E3 2010, making it about 8 years old now. While the console had a great life span, and at the time of publication is still having games being made for it, the device would appear to be on the way out. This is apparent as there have been two consoles released since the announcement of the 3DS, one of those consoles being the Switch which in itself can be classified as a hand-held console.

The whole point of FFR is to discuss the technology and document its UI, and that is exactly what I hope to do in this video. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. The reason I'm making this stuff is that I would have loved to see this stuff as a kid and so while this is not targeted at children I hope to educate those who didn't get to experience the console first hand.

Video INDEX:
00:00 - Opening words
00:52 - Theme Tune
01:20 - Discussing Nintendo and the 3DS
03:21 - Tech Specs
07:01 - UI/UX documentation (forgot to put skip time in)
30:28 - Closing words
32:36 - End cards

If you have any suggestions as to what I should cover next, leave a comment down below and I may feature it in the next video.

This video took about 2 weeks to complete and 3 hours to render. Shout out to PewDiePie for teaching me how to use PhotoShop (https://youtu.be/Nz3Ngt0AMDA)

The Wii was released in 2006. According to an early version of the Wii’s product website the name ‘Wii’ sounds like ‘we’, which emphasis that this console is for everyone. Nintendo's target market for this console was the entire family, as they felt that gaming was becoming an exclusive experience and not one that everyone can enjoy. With this, their battle plan for the 7th gen was to make the most fun console and not the most powerful.

The whole point of FFR is to discuss the old technology, and that is exactly what I hope to do in this video. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. The reason I'm making this stuff is that I would have loved to see this stuff as a kid and so while this is not targeted at children I hope to educate those who didn't get to experience the console first hand.

The XBOX was released in 2001 (almost parallel to Windows XP). This was actually Microsoft's first attempt at breaking into the gaming market. The Xbox was a sixth generation console, and came up against fierce competition from the other sixth generation consoles such as Sony's PlayStation 2 and Nintendo's GameCube. However, the XBOX did have one thing going for it: it was graphically more powerful than its rivals.

The whole point of FFR is to discuss the technology and document its UI, and that is exactly what I hope to do in this video. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. Before a piece of software can be built, it should be designed first. In this video, I discuss one of the more important factors that should be considered during program design and development: the end user. These are the people who, at the end of the day, will ultimately be using your software. Therefore, I have come up with an acronym to help you when designing your software: USER.

U - usable
S - stable
E - economical
R - reliable

This should help you when creating a program. If you would like me to go more in depth with this topic (program design) let me know in the comments. I plan to do a video maybe on algorithm design (such as flowcharts) and UI design. If this becomes popular I might, if not I'll probably just do it anyway because barely anyone watches or responds to my videos and thus I've nothing to lose by doing whatever I want. I might make another FFR video? Who knows? Only time will tell.

Sorry for the drop in quality in these videos. Next week's video will be about program design, and I will try my best to bring the quality bacc e.g. less audio errors and better speech!

Visual programming is a really easy paradigm to pick up. It's not great for larger projects though, as you'll find out if you watch this video. This paradigm is really basic, so this is a short video. Hope you find (or found) it interesting regardless. This may be the last video in this series, or I might continue it. There are loads of different paradigms but a lot of them are insignificant. However if there is a demand for it I shall continue. For now, this is the end!

A programming paradigm is the fundamental principle of how a language works. In this series I aim to discuss the properties of some of these paradigms and educate you, the viewer about them. If you find this series helpful, let me know in the comments below and leave a like. It really helps. A sub wouldn't be too bad either. Thanks...

Sorry for all the awful broken sentences!

Event driven programming is more common than you think. It appears in Video Games, UI, and is often mixed in with other paradigms (most commonly OOP). If I got something wrong or missed something essential then let me know in the comments.

Imperative programming is the OG way of programming for most of the languages we use today. Often referred to as 'Procedural' programming or even 'Do this/Do that' programming. However, there are some differences between the imperative and procedural programming paradigms. In this video I discuss both in broad detail, as I could not find much more than this in my research. If I got something wrong or missed something essential then let me know in the comments.

In this video, I will be discussing the concepts and basic workings of object oriented programming. This is probably the most useful and powerful programming paradigm.

The OOP concept is used in a lot of different languages, among the most popular being Java, C#, C++ and Objective C. OOP can be found everywhere, and is quite an extension of the procedural programming concept.

A programming paradigm is the fundamental structure of a programming language. The point of this series to help you learn about which paradigm is best for you, from starting to learn programming logic to working on large projects. Hope it helps.

I believe in privacy and free speech, and I also believe that these two things are being chipped away in the name of 'curbing terrorism' and 'preventing offence'. While I don't often speak about controversial subjects, I believe that everyone should have the right to do so as full discussion about everything means that we can have all options on the table and we can use this to figure out the best way forward. Prevention of speech only leads to frustration, and frustration can lead to physical conflict, and that can lead to the loss of life.
