Beautiful cover art on these books as well. The stories were also printed in Digit paperbacks. Very much worth the effort to find and read... They will definitely take a premier spot in any vintage book collection!

Gary has 4 new books in the works, first is the third installment of his “The Sicilian” series, next is a MYSTERY, crime and Noir Notebook” , and two collections of early stories by Gary that only appeared in small presses and obscure fanzines. Each story is updated and expanded.. first one is WEIRD TALES, a collection of terror and horror stories along the vein of HP Lovecraft, the other is I, BARBARIAN sword and sorcery tales in the vein of Robert E Howard. As always, Gary is working on a new issue of Paperback Parade, this will be issue #118. Gary as also been attending the GOTHAM PULP COLLECTORS CLUB meetings every third Saturday of each month at the Mulberry Street Library in NYC, from 1pm to 4pm. Gary Lovisi and Paperback Parade brings you another rare series of vintage paperbacks from the 1960’s. These are a short run of books. 10 are shown here, there are at least 6 more, numbered 100-116. You might recognize the look of these as they are from the same publisher of Saber Tropic & Fabian books. These were published under the imprint of National Library Books between 1964 and 1967. They are a beautiful series with edgy, albeit over the top cover art dealing with gay, gender bending and detective sleaze topics. Although some books are rare, others in the series are around and well worth looking for! Gary Lovisi & Paperback Parade brings you an update on the Paramus Barnes & Noble book store. As you may know, the Paramus NJ Barnes & Noble was one of just 5 stores nationwide with a used book annex. They were at this location on route 17 for 28 years and are set to close March 17, 2023. It is sad to see another used book store go out of business as the employees have said that although they are looking for a new location to reopen the NEW store, it will not have a used book section. If you are around route 17 in Paramus NJ before March 17th, you might want to stop in for some discounted books. As of Feb, 17th they were offering 40% off cover price; membership discount does NOT apply to this closing sale.

Gary Lovisi celebrates his 300th YouTube video by sharing his vintage store display rack. This is a Pocket Books rack filled with the same books that you would have seen in it in the 1940’s! There are many racks roaming around the country side, so keep your eyes open at those flea markets and and garage sales. They have even been know to pop up on eBay now and again (although postage is usually crazy, or it will be a “pick-up-only” option).
