The Motto for this entire series is a quote from the book, a phrase which is one of the best advices I’ve ever received “Make your acceptance of human nature as radical as possible.”

The law we will cover today is “The law of narcissism. Transform self-love into empathy”.

Self-love is something which is seen as wrong because it can very easily drift into self-absorption, arrogance, egocentrism and selfishness. We develop self-love early in our life, usually between two and five years of age, when we start to experience life more independently than before when our parents were around us to solve all the problems we faced. This is when we can turn to toxic narcissism as well because if our never-ending need for attention is not carefully served by the people around us, we tend to keep pushing in this direction until we receive the level of attention that we would like.

6 Things That Happen When You Lose A Woman With A Fragile Heart

10 Wrong Ways You’re Fighting with Your Spouse
Addressing conflicts when you’re very upset usually doesn’t lead to the best outcome. Scripture warns how, “A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict, but the one who is patient calms a quarrel,” (Proverbs 15:18).

Whenever possible, take some time to cool off and consider the best approach in addressing conflict with your spouse, asking God to help you. Proverbs 14:29 states, “Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.”

Charm according to the dictionary is the quality of attracting or fascinating others. Charm is the ability to make other people like you and the mistaken belief that this comes natural can be cancerous. Whether you are being liked or not is under your control. Here are 20 signs that prove you are charming person even if you are not aware of it.

1. You are sincere
“The easiest way to gain someone’s trust is to deserve it. This should be pretty easy, assuming you’re just being you and being real. Minimal effort too.”
― Ashly Lorenzana

People like it when you are honest. No one likes a fake. When you are sincere people will be drawn to you because they know they can trust you.

2. You are confident when you speak
You are meticulous and disciplined when you speak to someone.

3. You are attentive
“Charm is getting people to say “yes” without ever having to ask them a question.”
― Connie Brockway, The Bridal Season

During conversations you are not a bully but you are also attentive to what the other person is saying.

4. You are patient
“He’s an indulgent sort of man……

With a quick lip and a fierce tongue, the sort of tongue that draws you in with charm and words of praise, awkward silences and desperate worships.”
― Coco J. Ginger

You speak only when appropriate rather than try to prove you are the most intelligent person in the room.

5. You have a positive attitude
People can discern if you love to retreat and give in to criticism. However you are charming when you show you have a positive mental attitude.

6. You are inquisitive
“I think charm is the ability to be truly interested in other people”
― Richard Avedon

You show you are concerned about the other person by asking questions and displaying a sense of curiosity.

7. You are a people person
You love to engage in real life conversations rather than hide behind gadgets.

8. You don’t pass judgement
You are not quick to judge people’s character or condemn them for their mistakes. No one likes to be around ..

6 Ways to Detect a Liar in Just Seconds
You might be shocked to learn that more than 80 percent of lies go undetected. However, when you think back to being a young child, it shouldn't surprise you that lying is such a prevalent behavior. When quizzed about eating a piece of candy before dinner, most kids are guaranteed a chiding if they admit to the transgression, while lying provides a much lower probability of a punishment—that is, if they don’t get caught.

This opportunity-cost process that children go through to avoid getting in trouble sets the foundation for a pattern of lying in the future.

While people will always get away with lying, most lies are pretty easy to spot if you know how to read the signs. Here are a few techniques to determine if someone is telling the truth or not.

1. Start by asking neutral questions.

By asking someone basic, nonthreatening questions, you are able to observe a response baseline. Ask them about the weather, their plans for the weekend, or anything that would elicit a normal, comfortable response. When they respond, observe their body language and eye movement—you want to know how they act when they are telling the truth. Do they shift stance? A glance in one direction or the other? Or look you dead in the eye? Make sure you ask enough questions to observe a pattern.

2. Find the hot spot.

Once you move from neutral territory to the “lie zone,” you should be able to observe a change in body language, facial expressions, eye movement, and sentence structure. Everyone will give different subconscious clues when telling a lie, which is why it’s important to observe a normal baseline prior to entering the lie zone.

3. Watch body language.

Liars often pull their body inward when lying to make themselves feel smaller and less noticeable. Many people will become squirmy and sometimes conceal their hands to subconsciously hide fidgety fingers. You might also observe shoulder shrugging.

4. Observe micro-facial expressions.

We all have our ups and downs. Sometimes you might be having a great day and others, not so much.

Living with mental illness isn’t as simple as people make it out to be. You have to know how to take care of yourself both emotionally and physically to be able to function properly. There are a lot of red flags when it comes to mental illness in general and knowing those is a big deal.

Below I am going to go over some of these red flags and what they mean. Chances are you’re aware of them all whether or not you knew what to call them. These are things you should never ignore.

10 Red Flags You Should Pay Attention To When It Comes To Your Mental Health:
1. Overanalyzing
Over analyzing is something a lot of people struggling with mental illness do. They pick everything apart and don’t know where to go from there. While it can be a bit frustrating, you should see it as a sign that something is up.

2. Insomnia
If you’re unable to sleep because there is something keeping you up then you need to do what you should to take care of yourself. Sleep is crucial, without it we struggle to function. Chances are in situations like this your mind just won’t shut down.

3. Isolation
If you are isolating yourself you need to ask yourself why you’re doing that. Why are you cutting off those who care about you? Once you become aware of it you can work to stop it.

4. Indecisiveness
Most people don’t realize that indecisiveness is a sign of mental illness. While it can mean a lot of different things for people it tends to be linked with anxiety. If you’re unable to make decisions reevaluating your life might be best,

5. Appetite changes
Our appetites change a lot but if you’re suddenly too stressed to eat there is a problem. Don’t ignore this sign, it could turn into something worse as time goes on. While it might not seem like much, it could cause you to lose weight drastically.

Also, keep in mind some people stress eat which would mean gaining weight. It all depends on how your ..

Can Probiotics Help Reduce Anxiety?
Taking a probiotic could reduce anxiety if it contains a specific type of bacteria. A new study published in PLoS One has found that, among the many strains of probiotics, Lactobacillus (L.) rhamnosus has the most evidence showing that it could significantly reduce anxiety.

Researchers analyzed 22 animal studies and 14 human clinical studies looking at the impact of probiotics on anxiety. While researchers could not find conclusive evidence in human studies, they did find that probiotics, specifically those containing Lactobacillus (L.) rhamnosus, significantly reduced anxiety-like behavior in rodent studies. Probiotics particularly helped rodents exposed to stressful conditions or ones that had intestinal inflammation.

Probiotic supplements have been a promising area of research that focuses on the microbiota-gut-brain axis, the connection between beneficial gut microbes living in the gut and physical and mental health. There is emerging evidence that probiotics can help boost mood and protect the body against the harmful physical and mental effects of stress.

A lack of beneficial microorganisms in the gut has been associated with issues such as irritable bowel syndrome, Alzheimer’s disease, and depression. Gut bacteria can be altered by intestinal infections or by taking antibiotics, both of which can kill off beneficial or “good” bacteria. One study found that having an intestinal infection is associated with an increased risk of developing an anxiety disorder over the next two years. Some studies have linked antibiotic use with developing anxiety disorders later in life.

Probiotics can therefore be helpful to establish, or reestablish, beneficial microorganisms in the gut, especially when there is a deficiency of good bacteria. This is why doctors are increasingly suggesting taking probiotics along with antibiotics.

While Lactobacillus (L.) rhamnosus is the probiotic strain with the most current data to reduce anxiety..

Katricia Kelly WRITES IN AN articular.

I will not use my inhaler ever again! That’s what I said to myself a year after I was diagnosed with asthma in 2010. In the summer of 2011, I decided to make a career and lifestyle change and enrolled in a health coaching program to learn more about nutrition. During that time, I did extensive research on asthma, some of the causes, side effects and if there were any cures.

I found that a plant-based diet was very beneficial for people with asthma. Diets high in meat, especially fatty meats like beef and pork, can be big asthma triggers. A diet consisting of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, oatmeal, brown rice, and whole grains is best. It should also include significant amounts of protein.

I immediately started to incorporate more vegan meals daily until I was comfortable with the change. I started eating about 75% vegan and I saw results in about 30 days. I didn’t need my inhaler anymore and I haven’t used it since.

No one really knows what causes asthma, but it’s important to know some of the triggers and what to avoid. In my case, the cause is still unknown as I didn’t get asthma until I hit my 40s.

I became aware of my shortness of breath immediately after eating or drinking certain things like desserts, wine, peanuts and cheese. Consuming these items can trigger your asthma, in addition to other items such as:

Cow’s milk (cheese, ice cream, yogurt)
Processed foods (packaged, canned, boxed, frozen)
Soft drinks
Fast food
Alcoholic beverages
Bottled juices
Food coloring
Desserts (made with sugar, artificial ingredients and high contents of fat)
Asthma can also be brought on by exercise, smoking, allergies, pet dander, dust mites, and even stress. Shortness of breath, wheezing and tightness of the chest are some of the symptoms among people with asthma.

It’s important to not diagnose ..

Have you ever thought, “I should be happy and excited! I’m making a good change in my life – so why am I so stressed?”

You’re probably stressed because almost any change, whether it's positive or negative,
Here are four ways that you can manage the stress of change and become more resilient in the process:

1. Remind yourself why you’re making the change. For instance, maybe you always wanted to move to the big city – but now that you’re doing it, you’re terrified and stressed. Remind yourself why you wanted to move. What were your goals? What were you hoping to achieve? And what do you need to do to follow through on those goals?

Changes in routine can serve as stimulation to your stagnant nervous systems and allow you to grow new neural pathways.

2. Connect to others. Human beings are social creatures. Research has shown that isolation increases stress, and connection decreases it. You don’t have to be best friends with someone to connect with them. Years ago I was having surgery for the first time, and I found myself sharing my anxiety with someone I didn’t know very well. To my surprise, she told me that she had had the same surgery, as had her mother. Suddenly I felt better, just knowing someone who had been through the experience I was dreading! Online resources are useful, but in person is even better. Look for a Meetup group that sounds interesting to you – even if it’s not with people going through the same transition that you’re facing. Talk to old friends, family, colleagues. You’ll discover that you’re not alone, and you might feel soothed, even if you’re still stressed!

3. Find ways to soothe yourself. In an article about change and resilience, Kathleen Smith writes that self-care is one of the most important tools for managing change and developing resilience. Whether you go for a run or watch mindless television, if it helps you feel calmer, it’s helping you to make the difficult jump from one place to another. If you find yourself gettin..

Panic disorder is a psychiatric condition that causes recurring panic attacks—episodes characterized by a cluster of disturbing physical and psychological symptoms. Typical symptoms during a panic attack a person include shortness of breath, shaking, and chest pain that can cause someone to fear they're having a heart attack.

The mental and emotional symptoms that accompany these bodily sensations can be equally frightening. Many people who have panic attacks describe feeling as if they're going insane, losing control, even dying.

Two very specific psychiatric symptoms that often occur during panic attacks are depersonalization and derealization. Although they're somewhat similar and may occur together, they are separate and distinct symptoms. Here's a look at each.

The hallmark of depersonalization is the sensation of being detached from your body—as if you're no longer inhabiting your physical self but rather observing it from a distance. You may feel as if you have no control over your actions. This terrifying feeling often is accompanied by thoughts and fears of losing touch with reality or losing control over yourself.

Depersonalization can cause frightening physical sensations such as numbness or tingling. It also can be a symptom of another mental illness, such as depression; a result of drug abuse; and a side effect of anti-anxiety medications.

Derealization involves feeling detached from your surroundings. You may feel disconnected from external objects in your immediate environment, including other people. Even your closest family members or friends may seem like strangers.

Often people describe derealization as feeling spaced out or foggy. People and objects in the environment may begin to seem unreal, distorted, or cartoon-like. Others report feeling trapped by their environment or viewing their surroundings as surreal and unfamiliar. It could feel as if you're in a strange country or on another planet.

What Yo..

The sudden, severe pain in the heart.
A temporary heart condition known as the broken-heart syndrome (Takotsubo cardiomyopathy) may be triggered due to stressful situations in life, including separation from a loved one or their demise.
What happens in a broken heart syndrome?
In the medical condition, you may experience sudden severe pain in the heart that mimics a heart attack. It might be largely due to temporary disruption in your heart’s normal blood pumping, in a particular area of the heart. Interestingly, women are more suceptible to the broken-heart syndrome than men. They may experience intense chest pain that might be caused by major emotional of physical distress.
Why does it happen?
Losing someone you love can be devastating, whether it is from death or from the breaking of a long-term relationship. You might remember feeling that your whole world has fallen apart and you want to stop existing or experiencing any emotions.
Chest pain that could pass for a heart attack
It was the kind of hollowness in the chest that no amount of distractions could fill, and a pain so severe that it could almost pass for a heart attack. Except, there are times a severe loss can actually impact your physical health adversely, especially your heart.
Difference between a heart attack and broken-heart syndrome
The symtomps and test results of broken heart syndrome are so similar to a heart attack, that it may often seem like a heart attack in the beginning. But, unlike heart attack where arteries are blocked, in a broken-heart syndrome you are artermies might be open but the blood flow to them may be reduced. Also, unlike in the case of heart attack, in broken-heart syndrome your heart often heals and returns to normal.

Simply searching on the Internet tricks to lose weight throws around plenty of results. However, there's a lot of incorrect information about weight loss which can lead to unwarranted trouble. Losing weight is a slow and gradual process and cannot happen overnight; as much as fad diets and tricks guarantee, there is no one specific way to lose weight.
Going gluten free

Gluten is considered to be one of the biggest contributors for weight gain but what many fail to understand is making the body survive without gluten is a dangerous territory, which in long term can interfere with the GI tract. Avoiding foods with gluten may also remove essential traces of proteins gluten-rich foods like wheat and barley offer.

03 Exercising
You might be rolling eyes at this one but trust us, successful weight loss stories survive on a combination of factors. The body cannot burn fat by indulging in physically rigorous activities alone. You might feel that the trick is working but initially, the body just loses out on the water weight. Studies have also proven that being physically active doesn't equate to losing more weight.

Stay in this steam for a few minutes until symptoms subside.

Drink a glass of water afterward to cool down and prevent dehydration.
5. Marshmallow root.
Marshmallow root is an herb that has a long history of use as a treatment for coughs and sore throats.

The herb can ease irritation resulting from coughing because of its high mucilage content.

Mucilage is a thick, gluey substance that coats the throat.

One small study revealed that an herbal cough syrup containing marshmallow root, along with thyme and ivy,

effectively relieved coughs resulting from common colds and respiratory tract infections.

After 12 days of taking the syrup, 90 percent of the participants rated its effectiveness as good or very good.

If you have chronic pain, you’re not alone. An estimated 25.3 million adults in the U.S. report severe, daily pain, significantly more women than men, while 55 percent of U.S. adults report at least some pain in the past three months. Chronic pain is one of the most frequent reasons for physician visits and among the most common reasons for taking medication.

But there’s a gender gap when it comes to pain. For one, women have more frequent, longer-lasting, and severe pain than men.

Why Women Are More Susceptible to Pain

Women are more likely to develop painful diseases, such as fibromyalgia, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, vulvodynia, and temporomandibular disorders (TMJ). They also report greater pain severity than men from certain conditions, like cancer. And women simply pay attention to pain from physical conditions more than men. They recognize when something is wrong. Men, on the other hand, have a tendency to ignore pain when they should pay attention to it.

Women also differ in their response to pain medications. They tend to need higher amounts of pain medications immediately after surgery, while men tend to use more pain relievers later in the recovery period. Conversely, some medications (the partial kappa-opioid agonists, such as nalbuphine and pentazocine) can provide greater pain relief in women than men, although opioids like morphine and codeine can lead to more nausea and vomiting in women than men.

The question that has plagued researchers for decades is: “Why?”

Part of it could be anatomy. Women have more nerve receptors than men, so they may be wired to feel more pain. Even something as seemingly minor as the thickness of your skin or the size of your body can affect pain perception. Another may be that women are more likely to see a doctor than men, so maybe they’re getting diagnosed more often.

Genetics also plays a role, affecting how long the neurons that transmit pain signals to the brain survive and the strength of pain resp..

You've been eating the right kind of foods, maintaining a good sleep schedule, and even wearing sunscreen on a daily basis. So if your skin still showing some signs of damage, one or more of these common habits might be to blame.

1. Sleeping on your front or your side

Going to bed in the prone position (i.e. sleeping on your stomach) could affect the quality of skin in certain individuals. As this position requires placing our face directly on the pillow, it exposes us to a whole night of direct friction as well as the dirt and bacteria in our pillowcases.

Of course, sleeping on your side might also have the same effect in a limited manner. "Side sleepers often see deeper wrinkles or creases on the side of their face that they naturally turn to each night, as well as vertical creases down their cheeks and chin," said Joel Schlessinger, a board-certified dermatologist.

2. Not cleaning your phone screen

Having a breakout only on one side of your face? It might be related to your smartphone.

It may come as a surprise to some that bacteria is not necessarily the trigger for acne here. The real culprits are other impurities and grime which build up on the phone screen, according to Dr. Estee Williams, a board-certified dermatologist based in New York.

They can contain the likes of oil, dirt, and makeup which end up on the surface of the device if it is not cleaned enough.

"If there’s a lot of buildup on the phone, theoretically that can clog your pores and that sort of plugging of the pores can trigger acne, but not because of the bacteria," Williams explained.

3. Constantly touching your face

It can be tempting to rub your eyes, especially when you feel tired. But when done excessively over a long period, the habit might damage the skin around your eyes (by breaking the "delicate capillaries under the skin," according to an expert) and accelerate wrinkle development.

According to research from Brazil, people touch their faces an average of 3.6 times per hou..

In the past 10 years, many Americans have turned to omega-3 fish oil supplements, which have benefits for healthy people and also those with heart disease.

Omega-3 fish oil contains both docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). Omega-3 fatty acids are essential nutrients that are important in preventing and managing heart disease.

Findings show omega-3 fatty acids may help to:

Lower blood pressure
Reduce triglycerides
Slow the development of plaque in the arteries
Reduce the chance of abnormal heart rhythm
Reduce the likelihood of heart attack and stroke
Lessen the chance of sudden cardiac death in people with heart disease
The American Heart Association (AHA) recommends that everyone eats fish (particularly fatty, coldwater fish) at least twice a week. Salmon, mackerel, herring, sardines, lake trout, and tuna are especially high in omega-3 fatty acids. While foods are your best bet for getting omega-3s in your diet, fish oil supplements are also available for those who do not like fish. The heart-healthy benefits of regular doses of fish oil supplements are unclear, so talk to your doctor to see if they're right for you. If you have heart disease or high triglyceride levels, you may need even more omega-3 fatty acids. Ask your doctor if you should take higher doses of fish oil supplements to get the omega-3s you need

Experts ask to ban air hand dryers from hospital toilets because they blow bacteria around the room. A new study also found that using paper towels significantly reduces the risk of germs being spread between sick patients, reported Deccanchronicle.

According to the researchers, high levels of dangerous bacteria can cause blood poisoning, pneumonia and gastroenteristis when dryers were used.

The research concluded that air hand dryers spread five times more germs than paper towel, on the floor, so it should be taken out from hospitals.

The researchers said, “When people use a jet-air dryer, the microbes get blown off and spread around the toilet room. In effect, the dryer creates an aerosol that contaminates the toilet room, including the dryer itself and potentially the sinks, floor and other surfaces, depending on the dryer design and where it is sited.”

The research team looked at two toilets in each of three hospitals in the UK, France and Italy and found five times more bacteria on the floor when air dryers were in use compared to paper towels, and significantly more in the air, dust and surfaces of the room.

Surprising reasons your seemingly solid relationship could go south
Unchecked Emotional Baggage
Now, hopefully your partner's baggage doesn't include a surprise child, but we have heard worse. The biggest type of baggage which will stop the best relationship in its tracks? Unresolved emotional issues. All of us carry around wounds we've received as children, or in past relationships, but the key is how willing you are to examine them, understand them, and work through them. Left unchecked, you'll likely encounter the same problems in every relationship you start. Self-exploration is a wonderful thing!,
You (or He) Stopped Trying,
You Started Criticizing.
You Got Too Physical, Too Fast
It takes time to form the healthy emotional circuits needed to sustain a lasting relationship. Trust and the willingness to commit can't be rushed. But surging sexual energy can short out a potential partnership if switched on too early. Becoming physically intimate can open up a large amount of issues that put pressure on a fledgling relationship, so proceed at a pace that feels right for you.

There's Too Much Distance

Understanding the physical causes
Blood vessel damage from high blood pressure (HBP or hypertension) reduces blood flow throughout your body. Lower blood flow to the pelvis can affect the sex lives of both men and women.

Erectile dysfunction
In a man, the effects of high blood pressure on sexual function are more physically apparent than they are with women. Erectile dysfunction happens when there’s not enough blood flow to the penis to allow for an erection.

That can be a sign for a doctor to check for high blood pressure and other problems.

Loss of libido and interest
Women with high blood pressure may have lower libido and less interest in sex, especially if the condition is contributing to fatigue. If a woman’s blood flow to her vagina is reduced, it may also affect how her body responds both before and during intercourse.

Don’t let high blood pressure hurt your sex life:

If you’re trying to lose a few extra pounds, the first thing that comes to your mind is probably a low-calorie diet plan or a rigorous exercise programme. Sometimes, some of our habits we think are good for us can actually have reverse effects.
