Neymar is set to return for Paris Saint-Germain against Borussia Dortmund as the French champion tries to end its three-year run of defeats in the Champions League’s last 16.

The Brazilian forward has missed four games with a rib injury, most recently the 4-4 league draw with Amiens on Saturday.

But coach Thomas Tuchel told a news conference on Monday that Neymar is fit again and will play, unless he has a setback in training.

Kylian Mbappe hugged a child who ran on to the pitch and signed an autograph in the closing stages of Paris St-Germain's win over Amiens.

As the game entered injury time, a young boy ran on to the pitch with stewards chasing after him.

But Mbappe - who had scored two goals - walked off the Parc des Princes field with the crying boy and signed a book he produced from his coat.

Neymar and Mauro Icardi also scored in the comfortable PSG win.

Mbappe, who turned 21 on Friday, ran on to Neymar's through ball to clip the ball over goalkeeper Regis Gurtner and score for his seventh game in a row.

Neymar smashed home a loose ball from six yards out to score in his fifth consecutive PSG match - and Mbappe got his second with a first-time strike.

Stiven Mendoza scored a consolation before Icardi's late strike.

France international Mbappe finishes 2019 with 31 Ligue 1 goals in 29 games.

Champions PSG go into Christmas seven points clear of second-placed Marseille, who beat Nimes 3-1.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has declared himself fit to play following his recent injury layoff, saying he expects to be ready for the upcoming clash with Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.

Mauro Icardi scored the only goal and Keylor Navas saved a second-half penalty as Paris Saint-Germain edged out Club Brugge 1-0 to secure their place in the knockout phase of the Champions League with two group matches to spare on Wednesday.

Argentine striker Icardi's close-range finish in the first half at the Parc des Princes was his eighth goal in PSG's last seven matches and it was enough to give the French champions a fourth win in as many outings in Group A.

However, their opponents played well enough to take something from the game and would have done so had Navas not stopped Mbaye Diagne's 76th-minute spot-kick.

Despite failing to convince here -- two weeks after a 5-0 victory when the sides met in Belgium -- PSG know they will appear in the last 16 for the eighth consecutive season, and a draw in their next game away to Real Madrid will ensure that they progress as winners of Group A.

Real are also on the verge of qualifying themselves after a 6-0 hammering of Galatasaray on Wednesday.

Kylian Mbappé and Mauro Icardi both scored twice on Sunday night as pacesetters Paris Saint-Germain crushed Marseille 4-0 at the Parc des Princes.

Icardi struck the first after 10 minutes. He thrashed in from close range after Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda had saved his initial header.

The 26-year old Argentine nodded in the second 15 minutes later to put the Ligue 1 champions in control.

With PSG dominating possession and Marseille bereft of ideas during their rare moments with the ball, the home faithful feasted on the spectacle.

Local hero Mbappé added the third after 32 minutes. The 20-year-old Frenchman tapped in Angel Di Maria's slick through ball to effectively wrap up the game.

The France international added his side's fourth on the stroke of half-time. Di Maria was again the provider with a sumptuous pass with the outside of his boot. Song: Dipcrusher - Islands (Vlog No Copyright Music)

vs. Nigeria

A bright and entertaining friendly at Singapore's National Stadium ended all square as Brazil and Nigeria played out a 1-1 draw.

The Super Eagles took the lead against the run of play with Glasgow Rangers striker Aribo quick to react in the Brazil box lashing home in the 35th minute as Marquinhos dawdled.

Brazil were soon level shortly after the interval when Casemiro stabbed home the rebound after Maquinhos had headed off the woodwork.

The draw sees Brazil now failing to win a match in their past four outings with the major concern from the Seleção perspective being Neymar limping off in the 12th minute of the action. Twitter: https://twitter.com/therealn12/status/1009785996609662976?s=21

Mauro Icardi scored his first Ligue 1 goal as Paris Saint-Germain moved five points clear at the top of the table with a 4-0 thrashing of high-flying Angers on Saturday.

The reigning champions had suffered a shock 2-0 loss in their previous home game against Reims, but had no such trouble at the Parc des Princes on this occasion despite their opponents' surprisingly strong start to the season.

PSG head into the international break totally in control of the title race, although Nantes, who leapfrogged Angers into second on goal difference, could cut the gap to two points when they host Nice later on Saturday.

Neymar's late strike rounded off a strong individual display as he continued to repair his relationship with the team's fans after failing in his effort to force through a return to Barcelona.

Tuchel opted to rest Angel Di Maria, as on-loan Inter Milan striker Icardi was rewarded for his first PSG goal in midweek at Galatasaray with a full Ligue 1 debut. Twitter: https://twitter.com/therealn12/status/1009785996609662976?s=21

Mauro Icardi's first goal for Paris Saint-Germain was enough for a 1-0 win at Galatasaray on Tuesday as the French champion claimed its second win from two Champions League games. Icardi scored with a tap-in after being set up by Pablo Sarabia in the 52nd minute, but PSG wasted a host of other chances without the suspended Neymar and injured Edson Cavani.

Goalkeeper Fernando Muslera also did his part to keep Galatasaray in the game. The Uruguay international denied Angel di Maria's first chance in the second minute, swooped to take the ball from Icardi, then produced a brilliant save to deny di Maria again.

Thomas Tuchel was getting increasingly frustrated on the sideline as his side failed to make its superiority count. He received a yellow card in the 39th for protesting. Tuchel was also booked in a French league game at the weekend.

Keylor Navas dived to his right to save Jean-Michael Seri's effort from a free kick after the break, but ultimately the PSG keeper had. Twitter: https://twitter.com/therealn12/status/1009785996609662976?s=21
