I was very glad to have my long time friend Alex meet us again for an afternoon of touring Bacolod City, Negros Island Philippines. We picked him up at the Bredco port here in the city and took him around showing him several places of interest. We gave him a tour of our home before heading back to Go Hotel and Robinson's Place in the city. We had a great time at Pizza Hut receiving excellent service from Cha Cha, our gwapa waitress.

My Expat visa run to Hong Kong was a difficult trip with flight changes, lack of lodging, and pressure from Philippine Immigration for us to get permanent residency. My flight schedules and seating were changed, and I was not officially signed in at the airports due to wheel chair requests I made at the time of booking. We almost didn't make it out of Manila. It all worked out fine though. Parking at Bacolod airport was 200p for each overnight stay. Video 2

I share information about taking your Filipina out of the country in this video. I take extra time before I depart to Hong Kong on my 3 year visa exit clearance to share more information about this challenge and share lots of information with you about today's (2019) exit clearance information. My camera shut down on both videos due to shooting HD right about the 15 minute mark. ~ Video 2 of 2

We go to Iloilo City to get my Exit Clearance Certificate (ECC). Up at 3:45 a.m. makes for a long day. We were able to arrive at Immigration 10 minutes before they opened. All went smoothly and we were able to come home all in one day, no hotels needed. Immigration staff was very friendly. We arrived home about 7:00p.m. Bacolod City downtown night traffic was horrific...

Ayala Northpoint Mall appeared to be almost deserted in the courtyard area with all of the restaurants closed I am with my subscriber James Lonergram as we toured the vacancies together. Rose and her youngest boy enjoyed the time there as well. We ate at The Rib Shack and the food was very affordable and delicious. We had a great time together and took James back to his hotel across the street from the new Ayala Mall in the heart of the city.

One of my subscribers James Lonegram came to Bacolod City to meet with both me and Bill with Lanhawk 59. We are getting ready for our visa run so we take you along with us on a very busy day. First we drop off the youngest to school, then off to the airport! Please watch both videos.

Just a short impromptu video while I'm working on fixing some video and camera issues. Thanks for participating! :)

Bus and Jeepney Strike in Bacolod City! I wanted to see how many jeepneys and buses participated in the new strike of Sept 2019. We just experienced our 3rd fuel price increase within the same number of months. I also took the opportunity to find Evian water that one of my subscribers asked me to buy and try. He even paid me to do so! I tried it warm and it was like regular bottled water but he later suggested chilling and trying.

During my travels (when I was single) I had planned to meet a lady at La Libertad Plaza in Cebu. I was to meet her at her zumba class but we weren't a match but I sure enjoyed my Sunday afternoon there. I indeed felt like a guest with the kindness extended to me from everyone at the plaza and the Fort San Pedro. [from my archives]

We take a tour through the 1700 era Spanish lighthouse called the "Guisi Lighthouse". It was a fun tour seeing both the fortified compound and the original rusted out steel lighthouse. One more earthquake may bring down one side of the fortress or more. Originally filmed in 2004.

While on my Cebu Island tour, I ate at the famous Chili Bar located at Moalboal and it had great food! I met with one of my subscribers there and we became very good friends. I visit with him each time he comes back to the Philippines.

I had a visit with Candy Mendoza owner and operator of Safelinks Computer shop in Iloilo City. We had fun with one of my cameras. I've been friends with Candy for 5 years or more. I was referred to her shop soon after I arrived in the Philippines years ago for a laptop repair. We became good friends and she helped me with printer problems and computer issues. Candy is involved with OTJ, or on the job training with senior students in high schools and universities teaching them the tricks to computer repairs. I will include a link to her Facebook site. She has prices posted for computers and laptops. Candy also runs construction jobs while her crew runs the business at her shop. If you need help building your home in the Iloilo City area, she is the lady to call. I've seen her work and she knows how to handle the crews.

Her shop is located next to Robinsons Place and 7-11 in Iloilo City proper.

Philippines Chainsaw Lumber Milling is usually done at the site of the new home construction in the provinces. You can see the tree has been blown over in the foreground so no DENR permit was probably needed.

A subscriber has asked me to share his sad story about moving to the Philippines. Be careful if you don't have a -0- balance on any past due child support. Please watch William's account of the problems he has had. He can be found at William M Abrams on Facebook and YouTube.

Steve had a massive brain annurism and had his head cut open from front to back. After recovering from surgery he went to the states for rehabilitation and came back much sooner than expected.

Gale force winds hit us in Bacolod City today. We've had rain all day mixed with high winds. We endured a 6 hour brownout (blackout) but with the cool winds we had no need for air conditioning. I spent the day shuttling kids and mom to school, grocery store, and bank. Just a typical day with some rain to spice things up!

Rose had one of her pigs processed fresh at her mountain home. She also brought back bananas and coconuts from her farm. It was an interesting trip as the new "Here we Go" app didn't work out as planned. It had me all over the place!
