I know this is a channel about EUCs (electric unicycles) But I did grab six minutes of the other stuff that was there - then I move on to the cool stuff. Both of my Argentina born kids were with me and one works for the shop that sells these EVs.

After the intro to the bio event, we enter the test track for the electric unicycles of where we first see a tiny wheel being ridden by one of the customers of Eco Alsina, where I bought mine.

I did not meet everyone that was there because I was all over the place. I rode this little thing which felt like a lawn mower wheel and foot pegs. If you are able to ride this one with any kind of stability, you would be able to travel at 28mph with a range of 28 miles, or one hour of run time at speed (45km per hour - 45kms).

They say it is easy to learn to ride backwards on something this small. My goal was to be part of the group that did not fall with all eyes on them. Success! Because I only rode my wheel.

The next wheel to spring into action, as my oldest boy twirls on the MTen4, is the InMotion V13 which just arrived in Argentina a couple weeks ago. I also rode this wheel, it rides like Harley as compared to a Yamaha or Honda. (mine is the Honda for this comparison)

The wheel is huge. It weighs about 118 lbs. and can hit speeds of 56 mph (90 km per hour), with speeds exceeding 86 mph (140 km/h) when the company releases the unlock codes. Range is realistic 124 mils (200 kms).

I spoke to the young lady who was riding this. It came out in conversation that she's only been riding a wheel for about 2 months and she came from another city in province in order to attend this event. I didn't get it on video but she was doing some kind of ballet move where she rides with one leg, then grabs the other foot and lifts it higher than her shoulder, like next to her ear. I attempted the same move and it was not pretty. (I did not fall though).

The Grass Strip

It is called General Rodriguez and it is located about sixty miles outside the city and surrounded by farms and ranches. I have not seen an air show in the last 25 years. when I arrived in Argentina I only saw helicopters in large commercial Jets so I thought there wasn't much of an aviation community here at all. I flew once back in 2002 and right after that the airport and closed. Life went on and I just forgot about flying until recently when my doctor introduced me to one of his patients who owns a plane. He told me about the EAA event that I am covering now.

Tanker used to wet the runway down

I am so glad to be back at air shows and I will be attending this one every year from now on until I leave the country.

We got here at 9:00 in the morning and we walked the length of the airport which is a grass strip with grass taxiways. Due to the dryness we have had lately, any propeller turning churns up a lot of dust and dirt but they handle it quite well by spraying water on areas where lots of thrust is produced.

We then sat down under a white tarp the outdoor portion of a restaurant and we got some sandwiches for breakfast.

We ate and saw a couple of planes take off but none of them were show related planes. We tried to stay at the restaurant as long as we could because the sun was brutal and the temperatures were rising into the mid-90s by 11:00 in the morning. That table was our one spot in the shade.
The Stunts

The first plane was the Stearman and he did his routine over 3,000 feet so it did not come out on video. The next one to take off was this guy who you have seen if you looked at my last video.

This got me out from under the tarp and put my eyes to the skies. A real hot dog! After take off, he climbed out and then entered center stage heading toward the crown inverted, and did a negative G push to altitude.

This footage from today was all taken on my cell phone. I was saving the battery on the GoPro for the main show which came at four o'clock. Filmed in 4k with stabilization, I should be able to zoom in on the hammer heads and sky writing.

The hardest part about filming this Air show was the heat. I have a Google pixel that shut down about 8 minutes into a video, I have a OnePlus and it shut down only one time all day while taking video but I turned it off several times because it was very hot.

The air show started normally with a Stearman biplane, followed by an aerobatic Cessna - both included in this video. I have thousands of photos and I cannot find the one that contains the name of the pilot, based on what the announcer says, he is Gaby Garcia.

The Surron Likes Dirt!

4ff463f518bc1a37a6e7de02a030c1cda6c69a692c59c98a422c8ab41bc276bd.png

My son, on the other hand, likes pavement. We ride on the roads on sunny days, but I insist he learn several types of footing under his wheels and get used to compensating for different levels of traction.

I learned on dirt when I was a kid and the skills saved my life many times over. He is getting a late start in his mid teens and now acquiring the in his late teens. We live in a country where vehicles are so overly regulated that you cannot think of getting one until you are making good money. Then when you get a car, they tow it when you park it and they stop you at check points and mass tow vehicles to the impound. The government lives on stolen money from vehicle owners.

I am buying vehicles that are not yet regulated. This one is considered to be a bicycle. An electric bicycle. A beefy electric bicycle in some cases.

I know, I have posted about the wheel before but now I am taking you back in time...

This was before the nature reserve caught fire and before the fire trucks tore up the smooth paths in the park. We were demons of speed and trials.

You might hear some beeps in the beginning where "hindsight" is being tested. That means the camera is recording a loop at all times but when you see something you want to keep, you press record and the last 15 seconds before you pressed it are recorded as well. It is not very efficient regarding the battery but it does make it easy to get good shots all day long without running out of space on the SD card.

Shot back on January 7, this was us discovering what new things come with a new bigger (heavier) wheel. My boy wanted to experiment too. He is thinking about designing a new frame for his bike and may want to ride a bit lower then the rest of the world. Everything is tried today and nothing is off the table.

We are also testing speed and braking. There are times where we are focused in on the suspension to see how much it moves. Other times I am getting low shots of the path at speed. We also tried rotating the camera to see if it automatically flips - it has not been working in which case I flip the video when I edit the clips together..

I did not cut out our brainstorming or conversations on the day. Spend 40 minutes and see what we went through. Thanks.

I see wild stuff every day just for heading out and riding around.

The nature reserve today resulted in seeing a cool machine never seen moving before.

There was also a little blue herin munching on a snakes which fascinated me.

As I said in the video, you need to be the first one in the gate and you have to reach the back stretch of paths to be on the scene first. This picture was taken after the other nine friends of his left. When they hear people coming, the hunter class birds leave for quieter hunting grounds.

I took these photos this morning while on my ride. I am leaving the camera running and then sifting through the footage when I sit down in front of the computer. Seems to work the best for me.

Here is a little guy I saw on the wall - if it is a Cardinal, then it is the state bird from Illinois, which is where I am from. You're a long way from home my friend!

Fire Damage in the Nature Reserve
Photos and Video
My last video, the second bridge video, showed smoke above the nature reserve. It has been closed since that date and I was not allowed in until we had had some rain and the fire was out.

It has been closed so long that the burnt area already has new growth around the charred ruins of plants and trees.

If I had to guess, I would say that eight or ten percent of the open lands were burnt. The above looks this way sweeping right and left as seen in the video.

The video also has two different burn sites - none of one portion of the video covers any of the area in the other portion. They were take from one path facing back to back - if that explains it

I am pretty sure this old palm will come back. I go to the reserve a few times per week and I will let you know how it bounces back.

Full post at: https://dclub.dblog.org/fire-damage-in-the-nature-reserve-photos-and-video

As you all know, I have been going to the nature reserve most days since summer began. The reserve has been closed now for the last week and a half due to fires. Probably because we've had no rain. But, I still go there every few days to check if it's open yet.

This morning, I was not able to get in as usual so I rode along the outside and looked at the birds as I usually do. Next I see a couple of swans who are paddling their way through the floating foliage and I decided to take some video.

I would never start the camera and zoom in and take a look at just ducks. Although I like ducks, they're not so special that I would want to film them unless they're doing something cool.

Well today they were doing something cool, but they weren't ducks at all. They were in Anhinga. Not only that, they were baby Anhinga. I saw the mother slightly elevated on a little Island, I'm not sure if that ended up to be visible on the video or not but she was there, watching all her little Anhingalings practicing their ability to dive underwater and zoom around after all the little fish in order to catch their meal.

If you watch the video, you will see that I have highlighted some that are going down, timing them, and watching them come up again. He's a really incredible creatures, and one of my favorites.

Thank you, as usual, for stopping by and seeing what's happening in my brain.

There was a fire in the nature reserve the other day. I went every morning last week and they had stayed closed due to fire Wednesday. I took my son there early morning on Friday and it was still closed due to fire. I know the fire is not still burning, I would see the smoke if it were.

So; I venture out yesterday and I kept seeing firetrucks racing down the streets along the nature reserve. It has been days since I went inside the reserve. But I do understand that they do not want hundreds of people all over the reserve and have a fire break out and put them all at risk.

It has been really hot out lately, in the mid-nineties for the most part. This is the kind of weather that makes you want to stay moving and get the wind in your face. We headed out to the river side park to see the boats and animals. Lots of fun on our electric vehicles. Again, we did not want to peddle and sweat up a storm... Some of our trip is captured on a video below.

We just got back from the nature reserve. Right at the end of our ride, I wanted to switch to 4K on the GoPro and see how it comes out, hopefully well if I drive nice and slow.

I have shot 4K in the past but when I went to edit the footage, the screen was just black. I looked up what the problem might be and they're saying it's a codec but upon further investigation, I found out that my editor will transcode 4k to 1080p so that I can see it and edit it with very few difficulties.

I don't get to see the finished video until I upload it. It looks like HD when I use my phone or the new laptop.

I edited this video and cut it down to 5 minutes. On my phone, it looks really clear and well-defined but I'm wondering if it would be worth recording 4K all the time or not. Your comments would be welcome.

Due to bitchute's tiny file limitation, the video is a fraction of what I shot...

Change of plan...

I have been in Puerto Madero quite a bit lately riding through it to practice on the wheel and to get to the reserve for early morning rides. Good morning, I'm riding up to the bridge. I hear a ding dong sound and I stopped what I was doing, pulling over to see what's up.

One thing I should tell you is that my electric wheel is so quiet that birds don't hear me coming. First photo shows birds getting out of the way as I pull up to the railing. It makes me want to install a horn on my wheel.

So I was waiting there, and I hear the ding dong sound again and realize if I stay on this side of the bridge and it opens, I will not be able to get back to the other side which is where I live. I mean, I have already blown a couple of hours riding through the reserve and I should get some work done, so I don't want to be stuck on the wrong side of the bridge.

I decided to take video of the bridge opening if it does in order that my kids can see what happens when they open because they don't open very often. the kids saw the bridge open one time but they were so little that they don't remember it. So I'm capturing this for you but also so that my kids can see it since we don't go out on the weekends too much anymore now that they're bigger.

I'm shooting video and I swing around to the correct side of the bridge and go to a spot where I can see the entire bridge. I paid left to see the pump house where all the machinery and hydraulics are to make the bridge work. And I see that men are going down to the spot where the bridge is going to swing if it opens.

I checked both sides to see if any boats are coming which would be a clue telling me if the bridge is going to open or not. There are no boats. At this point I don't know if I'm wasting my time and my SD card or not.

While I'm waiting, I'm taking video of ducks overhead playing in formation pictures of the cranes that are everywhere because this used to be a port after all.

Then finally it happens! The gates go down as a pedestrian runs to get off the bridge. Sometime passes and then I hear the wine of hydraulic pump and the bridge starts to rise.

It must lift the weight off of the edge of the road so that the bridge can swing. So the bridge comes up about 6 in and then starts to swivel.

This is the part where we talk about how the road goes sideways when you want to go to work or home.

Lastly there is only to show the pile-up of cars behind the closed gates where everything is gridlocked so the bridge can open for the boat that never came through! It must have been for maintenance - that is my guess.

What a fun morning this was!

As some of you may know, I have been able to ride four mornings per week plus weekends. Two reasons: I have replaced my @s18, and also I can now ride seated part of the time, which gives my feet a break if I ride for a long time.

I'm still learning how to point the camera correctly without the screen to actually see where it's pointing. I rode the entire nature reserve this morning and decided to play around with some different camera angles as I went. The ones that turned out are here in the video below.

I think you can see how much dust is being raised by the knobby tire. More of that below, click Play

▶️ Watch on 3Speak --> https://3speak.tv/watch?v=sponge-buzz/jkfxxlve

I opened the video showing the side of the wheel me seated on it going fairly fast. I found out the other day that when I accelerate fast it raises it quite a dust cloud behind me. I did not realize that until I saw part of this video in the cloud that was developing behind me.

Here you're looking at camera about 4 inches off the ground facing forward as I ride at the east end the reserve along the water's edge.

The next angle is doing a trail on powder like dust or dirt. I like riding speedy through the reserve but sometimes I actually do slow down as well I will toward the end of the video.

As a swing to the west side of the reserve, I stand and I start holding the camera with my right arm outstretched and capture the camera going close to items on the side of the road while I myself am not at any kind of risk.

I later found some pretty good size holes on the right side of this very path which I could have fallen into if I weren't paying attention. Now that I'm watching this, I may attempt to redo this camera angle at a higher speed, what do you think?

Here we're coming to the end near the entrance where everything is brick instead of dirt. They haven't have a really nice bridge which is all black and you can see plants in all directions. See what happens when the gyro in the camera rotates the video during a turn. A bit dizzying. This is the same bridge that appears in another video and I made in 4k as a test.

Finally a few stairs and the way out of the park and out of the street where I must mesh with the cars in traffic but at least I can go as fast as I want.
Back Home

I leave the video there but I have to say, the miles I have been riding lately leave this new wheel very dusty. I think I will leave it on the terrace for now...

Bringing some nature back with me from the nature preserve!

Let me know if you would like to see more 4K video.

I have been working on mastering stairs for about six months.

The slow-motion video clips are among the very first attempts to dominate this skill.

I have finally put together my thoughts on the process.

I have no plan to learn to climb stairs on the wheel because I would end up expending more energy to jump up each than I would to climb them the normal way.

Comments and question welcome.

As I state in the video, I was going to toss this old chair, but my youngest wanted to take it to his mom's house. I said, "Sure."

This is the result. I always let my kids try things - I love the way they think. And...

It is better that they do crazy things with me present than have surprises in the world all alone. More about EUCs at hive.blog/@s18

My son moved out about a year ago because he wanted some privacy with his better half, which is understandable.

They had moved out a year ago to a "hotel familiar" where they had one room with a shared kitchen and several shared shower/bathrooms. These are common here in Argentina. I even lived in one of these years ago before moving to the city center.

This week, they rented an apartment outside the city. It is a bit far away, see the map in the video, but they are right near the train and closer to the electric bike, wheel, and scooter shop where he works repairing these amazing vehicles.

Its the first warm day of spring!

I took the day off and did 13 miles (21km) in the nature reserve, plus the to and from home.

Join me on my Kingsong S18 as we do six hours of walking in less than an hour. But that doesn't mean I was going fast the whole time. I did not add any music this time because I wanted to test a home made anti wind noise solution and I want to see how many sounds will be picked up
then I will make more modifications if necessary.

At higher speeds, I can still talk 18" from my phone while it is in the stabilizer. Both loud and soft sounds are picked up just fine.

There is the city and Puerto Madero on one side (west) and the Rio de la Plata on the other (east),with lots of trails and wildlife in between. I even saw a fisherman checking his covid-flab, but I did not see it until I was editing at home.

People have seen me on the S18 and other unicycles for almost ten years, but they seem to be surprised that I am not on a bicycle (invented in 1817) and none have moved onward to the one wheel world. I was hoping to avoid a lot of the screaming and pointing (plus questions on how it works) so I could have a quiet ride through the nature reserve.

There were some small outbursts inside and a bunch of wows as I exited the reserve.

Although my hands are free as I drive with my feet, it is still hard to drive well, while manipulating a joystick on the gyroscopic stabilizer. I will do more dialogue now that I know that wind noise is not a factor. What do you think (suggest)?

### A slightly longer video on sounding crazy.

The second of two crazy videos that started as a '**yes**' answer to a request for a stupid gimmick being sold in the streets.

When my son enjoyed it, shown in the first video, I made it a point to go and buy a few more and give them to the other "**kids**". Yes, these are my kids and they are still kids to me.

A short video of some strange air guitar.

My youngest and I head out to find new and interesting places and stuff on weekends. He used to point at street vendors and ask, "Can I have one?"

Since then, he wants transportation, clothes and the teen kind of stuff. This weekend his kid side was sparked and he asked for one of those little items. I missed that!

He was really surprised at how easy it was to get me to fork over two hundred for this little device. That's seventy cents as the paper money here turns to banana peels - value wise. He still thinks that a hundred peoso is a lot of money, cuz it says 100 on it.

The context of this video is: When he learned how to make it work - I was surprised it did work. I was laughing my ass off and shot a short video demonstration.

Take a look - take a guess at what kind of toy could may you sound like this. I will at some point reveal the secret it.

An intro post should be something special. I did the best I could to make this one just that. Presenting the Surron Light Bee X

My kids have never driven any motorized vehicles except for electric unicycles, and if I could, I would have motocross bikes for them to learn on - the law here would have them in their thirties before that would be possible.

I had a mini-bike when I was fourteen and I wanted them to learn how to ride something with a bit of power. This bike has it - lots of it.

--Unboxing Video--

My kids talk to me in English and so do most salespeople who want to sell me a product. I put enough English into this video so that you would be able to understand what is happening. Only three of the people present spoke English, including me.

I mentioned in this video that my son got the job working at this place. He has been there for several weeks now, and he builds these bikes and many other kinds of electric vehicles on a daily basis.

The Surron is very similar to the Segway but beggars can't be choosers here in South America. I will take the first brand to enter the country.

Some stats...
----------------------------------
Top speed: 52kmh (35mph)
Time to charge: 3-4 hours
Range: Consistant 70kms (45miles)
(that may vary when we start pushing it)

I am surprised that we are permitted to drive this anywhere in the city with zero complaints from police officers. If we every ride on sidewalks, I would expect to be stopped. Police here see things as black or white. It is either perfectly legal or not legal at all.

Up until now, it has been perfectly legal to ride without a helmet or glasses, though we choose to wear glasses to keep things out of our eyes.

My step son bought a 125cc motorcycle more than a year ago. He is still jumping through hoops to get a license, fill out paperwork, do his vaccinations, registration, taxes, fees, and much much more.

I refuse to be a trained seal - so I don't drive. EUC's work well to get me from point A to B.

There will be more on our progress learning to push this bike to its limits. Stay tuned - Thanks for watching and subscribing.

I had to split this video due to the ever shrinking BitChute size limit.

I got completely baked last Saturday - I forgot the sunscreen on our all day exploration of the northern waterfront.

We tried filming our way to the waterfront, but there are some sketchy zones where it would not be a good idea to have your phone out, held high, for long periods of time, while riding the latest in electric vehicles. You will notice that there are no other bicycles or scooters where the video starts - that is because there are no-go zones on both sides of the airport - people on bikes fear to tread in those areas. We did brave them on the way in and then filmed a safer route on our way out (contained in this video).

Once we found the safer route, I was able to get a continuous video from the Costanera Norte near Aeroparque all the way back to Puerto Madero's Yacht Club. The route we found will allow us to travel to the driving range and gokart track without going on the bus.

There is nothing better than riding the city and discovering new places to ride. There is a route that hugs the shore where only container truck ventured previously. Renovations are turning the area into route for bicycles, off-the-beaten-path as of now, but soon to be the new main drag.

You will also see a glimpse of the latest addition to our green-new-vehicles. We got one of the first ones to enter the country. My son has learned to take it slow with this powerhouse e-bike. I will have the unboxing up over there soon, then some of our experiences with it.

You may not ever get a chance to venture down to South America, but today you can spend a half hour and see some of the sites with us on a very hot and very windy day!

Pardon me, I had a bad cold while dubbing this one - the original video had a lot of wind noise. No noise on the final product but the dubbing lets your hear my hoarse voice.

I am working on a mic solution to wear on windy days.

(part two will be up tomorrow)

I have made this journey many times but never while filming and never this fast.

I snagged this video just after buying the new KingSong S18. You will notice that I did not crank up the speed at first. Actually this wheel is capable of doing 35 mph but I stayed well below that on my first ride.

Riding home from the Electric Unicycle dealer though grass, dirt, forest, and spiral ramp at the end. The video ends when I had the bright idea to ride down a staircase. I have only ever ridden down the occasional curb on my previous wheels.

The helmet was purchased after I narrowly escaped the fall presented on this #video - I ask that you all take a moment and knock on wood as I tell you that I have not fallen while on a unicycle in over five years. The wood need knocking now that I said it. Oh, and I let that taxi pass me...

Out walking today, we stopped for some crepes, which is always a delight. This quaint little crepe shop is nestled in the Mercado of San Telmo. It had shut down for a bit when the plandemic overreaction was in full swing, but now it appears to be back.

We ate at the bar, but the cute little lunch area is worth a picture, half painted depth and some real fresh veggie stand as part of the decor.

Swinging the camera left, we see the tables spilling out into the walkway where an accordion player plays national hits. My son said his music made it feel like we were in France, I am no expert.

Lower left, my son and his fingernails - a suggestion by his girlfriend, "Hey let's pain your nails!" and he is willing to appease her. We ordered what looked good.

Watch the video on 3speak.tv to see exactly how these are made.
Mine was sauteed filet mignon vegetables and cheese.

My son had bacon, brie, apple with rucula - he is experimenting with sweet and meat.

Let me share my famous guacamole with you.

Recipe:
- three avocados
- two tablespoons sour cream (optional)
- five drops of lemon juice
- salt and pepper to taste (or use the amount I used)
- half small onion, minced
- one garlic clove, minced (optional)
- aprox. 20 leaves of cilantro chopped
- two tomatoes, diced
- two jalapeno peppers, minced (optional)

Instead of jalapenos, Tabasco works, or Tabasco habanero is awesome!

Best with corn chips and a classic movie.

Enjoy!
(Ignore the corned beef cooking on the side. That is for another day.)

When google decided to sell us, the users, to the government on one side and to the ad-sphere on the other, I decided that google is not going to have even one more dollar from me. And, Spongebob was born.

If the governments of the world are so interested in finding out what I think, they will need to find out what this cartoon fry-cook thinks first. When decentralized money and sites dominate the world, I may put a personal profile up again.

Until then, I'm a Goofy-goober yeah.
