Well, that was quite a storm off East Devon last week. Possibly even worse than the notorious storm of 2014 that destroyed numerous of the Sea Shanty beach lodges.
I was lucky to be further up the cliff on this occasion, but some people had to be evacuated from their chalets on East Beach for safety's sake. Luckily the chalets on West Beach were vacant. The access road was pretty much washed away, and chalets were undermined. An old drainage culvert that serviced William Wheaton's Gypsum mill around 1855, which has been buried for over a hundred years was exposed by the storm.

What a few days. Family and friends get together starting on Friday 31st July 2020 on camp in Penzance, 3rd year on the trot. This time it included a birthday. Paul's 33rd!. Sharking for 12 hours on the 1st of August. Exhausting, followed by quite a little get together afterwards. All shattered but still managed to stay up till early hours, followed by the sleep of the dead!
Further to the new ad campaign launched by our glorious leaders, I thought this enhanced version might prove popular. To be fair its a bit low budget. I suppose not everyone has the same access to treasury (tax payers) funds for this sort of thing.
