The first time I heard this song was when Leonard Cohen sang it. Leonard wrote the song and it was finally released in 1984. Jeff Buckley also recorded a well liked version of Hallelujah, and dozens of others have recorded this song as well.

A favorite Beatles song for many people, "She's Leaving Home" was released on the Sgt. Peppers album in 1967. The song was inspired by a 17 year old runaway named Melanie Coe who's disappearance was in the British newspapers at the time.

The Analogues do an amazing job recreating this iconic song. It's one of my favorites originally by the Beatles.

Recently made popular by Alison Krauss, the Petersens do an excellent version of this song. Many people say their Dobro player (Emmett Franz) is just as talented as Jerry Douglas.
