A lot of regular work during the main part of the week. At the end, I hit some heavier lifts that went pretty well for the most part and didn't take as much out of me as I thought they would.
I wasn't expecting to hit a PR of any kind today, but my legs were feeling good, which allowed me to hit this today. My shoulder is still achy otherwise, I would have tried a higher weight.
Now that the 12 week program is over, I talk about what I thought of the program and some adjustments that I want to make with what they gave me for the next time I go through their programming.
This week had the highlight of doing a 440 lb/200 kg back squat on Friday and a 230 lb/104 kg snatch + 305 lb/139 kg clean/jerk on Saturday. Lifting for the most part went really well this week.
On the last day, I forgot to edit in my snatch deadlifts and front squats that I did after my heavy snatches and clean/jerks. There were nothing remarkable. Just 225 lb for 3 reps for the snatch deadlifts and 305 lb for 3 for the front squat.
I decided to focus on making one video a week about my training rather than one after each training session. I show all of my top sets for the week with the exception of my Saturday session where my battery died and wasn't able to record my 215 lb double on snatches. Hopefully this video makes my content a bit more manageable to get through since it will only be one more concise video during the week.
In this school update, I talk about how I'm improving my reading instruction and update the general stuff happening at school.
10/6/18 - Day 6 - Week 5
Week 5 is all done. It ended on a great workout. I'm feeling a bit beat up from it, but this is one my best workouts since starting this programming. I had a bad 220 lb snatch that I ran forward, but the rest of my snatches went really well. And everything else I did went as well as I was hoping.
I want to, of course, continue to work at my snatches and building my consistency with them, but I also want to work on my footwork in my jerk. My coach, recommended that I do some work on my off day to work on doing the footwork properly. I tend to "cross" my fit a bit too much, which makes balancing and stabilizing the weight at the top a bit more difficult than it should.
In this training update, I talk about some of the heavier attempts that I did this week in training. Things are moving to heavier and heavier weights. My lifting if going well too, which is nice to have as the weights are getting more intense.
I'll have a new episode up about my school week and one about my goals for the week up tomorrow and on Tuesday as well.
10/3/18 - Day 3 - Week 5
I'm continuing to put in the work in the gym and things continue to move pretty well. After my workout, I talk about some scheduling changes I could potentially for school.
10/1/18 Day 1 - Week 5
Let me know how you like the transitions between my reps I did during some of my clips in the middle of my workout. They weren't too hard to edit in, but it does take a little bit of extra time, but if it looks good, I'm cool with putting in the extra effort to do them.
Besides that, I had a really good day of lifting. Almost a great day, but I hit a lot of good lifts. Snatches are continuing to move in the right direction.
9/29/18 - Day 6 - Week 4
In this workout, I had heavy work in every lift and had my heaviest programmed squat so far.
9/26/18 - Day 3 - Week 4
Nothing too crazy with this workout. A lot of similar stuff. Just more work. After my workout, I talk about my reading instruction and how I'm structuring it during the week to maximize my time during the week in that area.

9/25/18 - Week 4 - Day 2
In this workout, I had some good snatch work with the high hang power snatches. I also did high block power cleans for the first time ever. They are definitely difficult to do, especially to catch them as a power.

9/24/18 - Week 4 - Day 1
In this workout, I had some heavy lifts for both the snatch and clean/jerks. They both went pretty well. I would have liked to not have any misses with my snatches, but with the two that I did have, my form with them was much better than when I missed last week. Missing them both behind is progress for me. Snatches are continuing to feel better and better. Clean/jerks continue to move well. Pulls and squats went well too.

9/22/18 Day 19 - Week 3
I decided to see how bench was feeling after I did all my work for the day and for week 3. It went better than I expected. I don't know when I will try benching again, but I would like to do more than 1 rep with 315 lbs. Besides the benching at the end of the workout, the overall workout went well. My body is very fatigued from the volume from this week.

9/20/18 - Day 17 - Week 3
Because of conferences, I had to lift in the shed today, which went better than expected. The Browns also go their first win of the season on this day, which was exciting.

Browns' win: 12:21
I will make my podcast each week a BitChute exclusive video. Have a great day!
In this episode, I start with talk about my Cleveland Browns getting their first win in a long time. I then talk about school, getting my A/C unit fixed, and my workouts this week.
