Today I talk about having a fast heart rate with your anxiety! I even reveal my heart rate numbers during my anxiety! When we are extremely anxious, our bodies go into fight or flight mode! Our adrenaline gets to flowing, our breathing gets faster and so does our heart rate! The fast heart rate is there to pump more blood to our vital organs during survival mode! If you suffer from panic attacks or anxiety attacks, your know this feeling far too well. My resting rate during the day would be 95-110 bpm. 160-180 during a panic attack.

Health anxiety is a complex monster! But there is hope! I was able to overcome and recover from health anxiety and so can you! There are many reasons why health anxiety is difficult. Usually when we first develop symptoms or a panic attack, a fear is embedded deep within our mind. This fear is usually driven by the anxiety symptoms we face on a daily basis. The symptoms then trigger new or existing fears. For the first two and half years, my fears were mainly of heart disease or heart attacks. I had heart anxiety and cardiophobia. Once I was able to overcome that fear, new anxiety symptoms arose. I then feared cancer and other illnesses. I never fixed the root cause so the fear returned. I also had many different problems working against. I also had panic disorder and would have 5-10 panic attacks a day! I then developed social anxiety. Many people with health anxiety, have other components that make it difficult to manage.
