The video shows calm officers dealing with Floyd. Floyd appears to be in distress and is not complying with the officers' requests. He refuses to get in to the Police cruiser, stating that he has claustrophobia although he didn't appear to have it in his own car. He says several times that he can't breath long before they put him on the floor. They put him on the floor at his own request. Although the method of restraint is questionable, the pressure is applied to the back of the neck, not the throat and is a common restraint technique used by the Police and martial artists.

Autopsy reports show that Floyd not only tested positive for Covid-19, which is obviously the dangerous respiratory disease that has affected our lives so much this year, but that he also had a cocktail of drugs in his system - Meth, fentanyl, and cannabinoids. He also suffered from heart disease, hypertension and sickle cell trait and was not in good health despite his muscular physique.
