'Building…' was written and released during the height of the pandemic as Reed’s father battled cancer and she and her husband pivoted to create new ways to service their restaurant customers. When many businesses succumbed to the tough times, Reed’s business and musical career stayed the course to victory.

Managed by music industry veteran and former Senior V.P./General Manager of Verity Records (now RCA Inspiration), Dr. James "Jazzy" Jordan, Reed, who has a finance background, grew up in a musical family that performed gospel in southwest Missouri. Reed remembers, "When I was a little girl, we were my dad’s choir. We would have people lined up listening to us on Saturday as we rehearsed for Sunday service!"

When she left her small Missouri town for college in Memphis, Reed explored other styles of music. "I sang in an R&B group called "Honey and Pearls" when I was in college. I love my gospel ministry, and it is a ministry, but I do believe in having fun. But no matter what, I always circle back to Christ, and that’s where I remain. It’s just a part of who I am," said the psalmist, who excitedly takes on the big challenge of bringing souls to the Lord.

An independent recording artist since 2004, the petite lady with the big voice is praising God for the success of "Building..." and cherishes Him for the song that paved the way for it too, "Standing At The Gate," from her 2017 album "TIME". While both are traditional gospel songs, Reed says her style can’t be put in a box. Evidence of this is the upbeat, danceable "Get Up-Reloaded" from her forthcoming EP. The song also has a fun, summertime dance party themed video available on YouTube.

After the inception of Christafari, the band took several annual mission trips to Jamaica. “The funny thing is that one of my first prayers to the Lord after coming to Christ,” recalls Mohr “was, ‘Please don’t make me a missionary in the jungle in some Third World country.'” He now thanks the Lord for not answering that prayer – for it would quickly become the greatest desire of his heart.
After visiting places like Africa, Central and South America, and some of the most remote islands on earth, it became clear also to the rest of the band that these were the types of places that the Lord wanted them to invest their time and talents in from here on out. Their mission was simple: “To reach the lost at any cost and make disciples of every nation.” But the band quickly became troubled by the reality that Third World nations and developing countries couldn’t afford to fly out even a single member of the band, let alone their entire team.
So they became full-time musical missionaries – willing to travel to the ends of the earth in an effort to preach the Gospel through the universal language of music to those who could never afford them in conventional terms. Each of the members in Christafari has the same mission and vision, a commitment that requires tremendous sacrifice and discomfort. But this is right where they believe the Lord has called them. Seeing lives changed across the globe makes it entirely worth their while, and the results have been astonishing: in the last few years alone, the band has seen over 3/4 of a million decisions for Christ!
HUMANITARIAN EFFORTS:
Not only does the band travel the world proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ through reggae music, but they’ve also set out to be the hands and feet of Jesus. King Comeback is a native to the Eastside of Atlanta. Originally from Stone Mountain, Georgia, he began writing music at the age of 12. Around the age of 15 he began skipping school and running the streets. This led to him smoking and eventually selling weed. He still however maintained decent grades and leadership positions in band which earned him admittance to Tuskegee University with a band scholarship. Once there, his love for learning was outmatched by his love for hustling and having fun. This ultimately got him kicked out and ironically, the former schoolboy and bandsman resorted back to hustling to cover his college tuition and living expenses.
Tragedy struck in 2012 when he was shot and paralyzed during an attempted robbery. However, not even this could not stop his passion or determination. He continued his education while pursuing a career in the music industry. Not only is he an artist, but a talented songwriter, producer, and audio engineer.
In 2015, King Comeback created his own label, Track Blazers Entertainment. He went on to release his debut song “Bet You Though” (BYT), an ode to his triumph over his ordeal. Through his music, he wants to show that you can not only survive but thrive with a disability. He wants to show people that they can live the life that they want despite their own challenges.

The Christopher Brothers are an alternative pop/rock band from Los Angeles, CA. While a year of COVID-19 and its resulting quarantine kept many established artists off the road and in ongoing career shuffle mode, the down time from school gave DICI – free from his extracurricular lacrosse and weightlifting schedule – a chance to focus on his true passion. Along the way, as he learned how to create beats and sonic textures and record his raps over those, he became an ultra-prolific writer. Testament to his prolific songwriting, once in a single week when he was caught up with his schoolwork, he went on a tear and wrote and produced four songs that became his 2021 signature singles “Flip,” “Art of War,” “Five Rings” and “I’ve Been Dreaming.” DICI’s other tracks this past year include “Something’s Right” and “Something’s Right (Dance Mix),” “E to S,” “u n i,” “Will You Stay,”” Do What I Can” and the upcoming “Left To Right.”

As for his process, the rapper explains that for his more melodic songs, he creates the beat first and then develops the song around that groove. He finds it easier to write when he has an idea of what he’s going to be talking about in the song upfront. DICI has done quite a bit of traveling for someone his age – including traveling to Japan countless times and even going to school for a time in Tokyo – and these experiences have inspired songs like “Shibuya.” Considering the fact that DICI is so artfully blending powerhouse beats and a soulful, melodic, sometimes hypnotic synth generated flow, it’s perhaps best to paint our understanding of his tracks in broad strokes.

“Still, because I’m young and often isolated working in my bedroom,” he says, “I sometimes draw ideas from books I’ve read rather than daily life experiences. So ‘Five Rings’ for example comes from ‘The Book of Five Rings,’ a text on ‘kenjutsu about sword martial arts written by 17th Century Japanese swordsman Miyamoto Musashi. Likewise, when I was in Italy with my family two years ago, I read Freud’s ‘The Interpretation of Dreams’ and I had ideas from that book in the back of my head when I wrote ‘I’ve Been Dreaming,’ which naturally has a very dreamy vibe to it.”
