Professor Freedman begins his discussion of Gregory of Tours' history of the Merovingian kings. This history differs markedly from the classical invective style used by Procopius. Gregory of Tours' account seems more random by comparison and emphasizes the intervention of the supernatural in everyday life, particularly through the miracles of St. Martin of Tours. Gregory begins his account by showing how Clovis established Frankish hegemony and secured the prominence of the Franks in the post-Roman West. That the Franks were the first Catholic (as opposed to Arian) people among the barbarian invaders also figures heavily in his account. Professor Freedman ends the lecture with a discussion of Clovis' sons, among whom Clovis had divided his empire. Despite their violent internecine conflicts,, Gregory of Tours considers them and their father to be appropriate rulers for savage times.

The Roman Empire in the West collapsed as a political entity in the fifth century although the Eastern part survived the crisis.. Professor Freedman considers this transformation through three main questions: Why did the West fall apart -- because of the external pressure of invasions or the internal problems of institutional decline? Who were these invading barbarians? Finally, does this transformation mark a gradual shift or is it right to regard it as a cataclysmic end of civilization? Professor Freedman, as a moderate catastrophist, argues that this period marked the end of a particular civilization rather than the end of civilization in general.

Professor Freedman examines how Christianity came to be the official religion of the Roman Empire. This process began seriously in 312, when the emperor Constantine converted after a divinely inspired victory at the Battle of the Milvian Bridge. Constantine's conversion would have seemed foolish as a political strategy since Christianity represented a completely different system of values from that of the Roman state, but not only did it prove to be a brilliant storke in aid of Constantine's quest for power, it fundamentally changed the character of the Empire and that of the early Church. Constantine also moved his capitol to a new city he founded in the East, named Constantinople, opening the possibility of a Roman Empire without Rome. Professor Freedman ends the lecture with a comparison of Diocletian and Constantine.

Tedros - the new Director General of the World Health Organization Published on May 24, 2017. The guy in the video loves Tedros and his appointment to World Health Organization means coronavirus. As he explains what Tedros done in Ethiopia should be done to the entire world and hoax and hype coronavirus is the means to do so. According to the author of the video Tedros was appointed to the WHO to tackle pandemics in order to form a global response to pandemics and world health issues. This nightmare of the medical group, won't go away until we remove Tedros and those that support him.
Chronicle, a news magazine (WCVB-TV, Channel 5 Boston), broadcast the show on July 22, 1993. It is a report on the Community of Jesus, Inc. of Orleans, Massachusetts, USA. Their respective web sites are:

The report was done with standard journalistic technique, showing both sides of the issue: is the Community a cult? Some neutral experts were interviewed. Former members were interviewed. Current members of the Community (at the time) were interviewed. Interestingly, many "current" members that are shown in the taping have since left.
The Community of Jesus was founded by two lay women, Cay Anderson & Judy Sorensen. Cay Anderson died in 1988. The leader of the Community at the time of the taping, Betty Pugsley (who goes by Elizabeth Patterson when she conducts the choir outside the Community), is still in charge as of the date of this posting. Over the years, the Community has been the subject of the print media, including the Cape Cod Times (the local newspaper), the Cape Cod Voice (a local magazine), Boston Magazine (a regional magazine), and the Globe and Mail (the national newspaper of Canada).
The observations, declarations, and accusations of former members are trivialized and dismissed by the Community to this day.

Grenville Christian College (GCC) became affiliated with the Community in 1973 when its leadership sought the help of Cay & Judy. Its leadership and staff members became non-resident members (and some eventually became resident members at the Community in Orleans). GCC ran a private Christian boarding school using the same principles and techniques as the Community. Its staff, being non-resident members, followed the teachings of Cay and Judy and applied it to staff members, staff children, children from the Community who attended GCC, and students not affiliated with either GCC or the Community.
GCC closed its doors at the end of the summer of 2007. Shortly thereafter, it was named as a defendant in a class action lawsuit in Canada, along with the Anglican Church of Canada and the Community of Jesus. At the date of this posting, the legal teams are preparing, filing, etc. and an actual trial has not yet begun. Not surprisingly, the Community has distanced itself from GCC.

Born Rich is a 2003 documentary film about the experience of growing up in wealthy families. It was created by Jamie Johnson, an heir to the Johnson & Johnson fortune, and filmed primarily between 1999 and 2001. The film consists primarily of Johnson interviewing 10 other young heirs. These interviews are offset by Johnson's exploration of his own experience and family as he comes into a large inheritance on his 21st birthday. He seeks out how to be a productive person, avoiding the dysfunction that he sees affecting many of the very rich. The film explores the taboo the ultra rich have against talking about their wealth. Johnson believes this secrecy about wealth causes the wealthy to be dysfunctional, and exists because the discussion of their wealth challenges the notion that America is a meritocracy and their right to have their wealth.
