Too many of our brave man and women in uniform suffer from depression. It's often when they turn to Christ that they begin to turn their lives around.

Since the end the Civil War in 1864 black people have made much progress. Much more progress could be made if black people refused the victim label and understood they were the master of their own destiny. They succeed or fail based on the choices they make.

Abraham Lincoln in stirring words summed up the struggle of the Civil War for many in his speech at Gettysburg.

Imagine the horror of being in a crowed restaurant when an armed gunman enters and just starts shooting. When seconds count, a single person armed and prepared to shoot the gunman can save dozens of lives.

Never forget the childhood memories of loved ones lost.

Women living alone are often considered "soft targets" by rapists and killers. Every year we hear of more women who have fallen victim to a stronger male either in a domestic depute or a random act of violence. Women must learn how to effectively protect themselves when police are miles away and seconds count. All too often the victim is dead by the time the police arrive.

Construction of Independence Hall began in 1732. The signing of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution took place within these walls. Indeed this remarkable structure is the birthplace of American liberty.

Our founders believed the right to bear arms essential to the preservative of a free society. The infamous tyrants of the 20th century would have agreed. They could not have subjugated their people if the populace had been armed.

Both Patrick Buchanan and Ron Paul warned America of its endless military commitments. Nineteen years after invading Afghanistan, we would have done better had we heeded their advice.

In the last decade, there have been at least 1,868 officers who have died in the line of duty. They had loved ones who never saw them return home safely.
