Remember when I said I had exciting news coming?

Well, here it is.

I’ve moved to the happiest place on earth... Welkam to Vanuatu!

Yep, “moved”. As in permanently. This is home. I’ve always felt a pull to come back here, and now that I’ve done it... I couldn’t be happier. I have absolutely fallen in love with this country and it’s people... all over again!

I am so excited to bring you all on this life-changing journey with me. I hope you enjoy it as much as I am!!

Introducing, The Three Amigos! These gorgeous little rats have come into our lives quite by surprise. They will be living with my cousin, so I’ll get to spend a lot of time with them! Luckily, my cousin has extensive experience with rats, and the capacity to care for them... but please note I do not condone buying pets as gifts... especially as a surprise! These situations don’t usually end as well as this one will!

Hola!

Today I’m going to take you on tour around Sea Life, Mooloolaba! This gorgeous little aquarium on the Sunshine Coast is filled with so many friends! Mermaid puppies (seals), teeny tiny tipper tappers (little penguins), jellyfish, and more.

Sea Life participate in so much conservation work, protecting our oceans and the critters that live there. They host beach cleans around the world, and rescue and rehabilitate sick/injured sea friends!

Hi friends!

Welcome back to Episode 2 of The Darwin Series! Today we’re off to Crocosaurus Cove, and getting in the Cage of Death! Join me in the cage as we come face to face with their biggest croc, Axel. Make sure you have your volume up to hear a croc burp at 4:06!

Axel is 5.1m long and weighs about a tonne! He was captured from the wild in the mid 1980’s from Roper River Bar. He had been hanging around the boat ramp, and hated boat trailers! He’s trademark move was snapping at boat trailer tyres and puncturing them, hence the name Axel!

It was a privilege to spend time with this epic dinosaur, and a deeply moving moment to have eye contact and be in such close proximity to him!

Our crocs hold an important part in keeping our environment healthy and thriving. We must protect these living dinosaurs!
