Oh nuts refers to the top jam nut on the stick. Rain guard refers to a shield mounted to the pulley to keep rain out of the PMA. And paint refers to a Stealth VAWT's crazy flame paint job. Not the best but it'll do. I also made a new crane thingy that works a bit like a fishing pole.

I'm stuck on "The Stick" from my previous video, so in this video I've added a tachometer. By adding this RPM gauge I hope to have a better idea of the RPM reached by the stealth vawt at different wind speeds.

It's time to get on the stick. What I'm calling "The Stick" is a vertical axis wind turbine shaft that uses opposing magnetic fields as a thrust bearing. The absence of a physical bearing eliminates friction between the stationary and moving parts. A variety of PMA's will mount to the stick, and the stick also utilizes a 2 to 1 pulley system which will double the RPM of any permanent magnet alternator mounted to the stick.

The first stealth vawt to be shipped went out in a rectangular crate. This ones going out in a cylinder. Who knows what the next crate will look like. I guess it really doesn't matter as long as the turbine gets to its destination safely.

This Stealth VAWT is the first one I've ever shipped anywhere. The other ones I've sold were picked up by their buyers. Cost of shipping is based on size and weight of the container. I may be able to decrease the weight of the container but I can't decrease the size. This video also has updates on my garden and my dogs.

It's too darn hot to work afternoons in the little shop. It wasn't so bad before my neighbor trimmed the tree that cast a shadow over its roof.
