This video was made to advertise my Sputnikmusic profile. I haven't made any other reviews since I posted this one, but I am thinking of making a couple more. I'll most likely review DragonForce's album Reaching Into Infinity. I'm not sure when I'll have the time, though. Still, if you like straightforward album reviews, consider checking me out over there. For now, just enjoy this review I wrote (and got approved almost unaltered) of I See Stars' third album, Digital Renegade.

I apologize for the lack of quality in this video. I couldn't figure out how to get my screen recorder to work properly, and I didn't know about the Mixer feature in my songwriting software. Still, I think this video serves its purpose of demonstrating that I can write a full rock song. I plan on making a more professional recording of this someday, but I don't know when I'll have the time.

To this day, I can hardly believe that I made a music review in only three days, considering just how inefficient the process typically is. Granted, I already had the script written, but filming the video was a real bitch as it always has been with all the outside noise in my house. Also, I had to do the usual editing, which required hours of effort. Regardless, I had the free time, and I spent it productively. I think this video easily measures up to my other reviews in terms of quality, and I hope you'll agree.

This was made specifically for the Sithu Ayelmao Facebook group. It was originally unlisted on YouTube because it used a lot of the memes that members had posted, but upon asking, the general consensus was that I could make it public. This video was quite fun to make, and it gave me the thrill of having an idea and bringing it to life without much difficulty. Then, when I uploaded it, I experienced the thrill of getting four new subscribers (the biggest boost to my YouTube growth thus far), including the creator of the group itself, Luigi Masella. I even managed to pick up well over a hundred views on it, and if a bunch of people hadn't accidentally found out about my ONE OK ROCK guitar cover later on, it would remain my most-viewed video. Even though you guys probably won't get the references, I figured I might as well share my most well-received video anyway.

I hope you enjoyed this review. I work hard on every one of these videos. Even though I haven't added another entry thus far, I have another planned. It's going to be on Led Zeppelin, specifically their fourth album, which is no stranger to "Best Albums of All Time" lists. I still need to make up my mind on it, but I already said that I would cover it, and it's definitely interesting.

This is just another shitpost I made in the process of working on a bigger video.

For anyone who doesn't already know (which is probably everyone reading this), the Taj Mahal Travellers were an avant-garde improvisational group that made psychedelic drone music. I decided to use an effects pedal that I kept neglecting to use, specifically an interesting delayed clean tone, to make an improvisation of my own. It's not much, but I did come up with some good ideas while I played. I hope you can get something out of this.

As you can probably tell, I'm uploading a lot of videos from a period in which I was doing random music-related stuff. I did eventually get back to some reviews and shitposts, but for now, I want to show you one of my most well-received videos thus far. It's a song I wrote for guitar class, and I put a lot of effort into it. I challenged myself instrumentally and vocally in making an emotional song that others might be able to relate to. Here are the lyrics:

I walk a lonely road, lined with skeletons along the curb,

'Bout eighty of them lookin' peaceful and the other twenty lookin' quite disturbed

I try to focus on what's pleasing to the eye, but all that I can see

Is the image of those twenty skeletons that is still haunting me

I live a life that's just shy of a poor boy's fantasy

Compliments and benefits are raining down on me

I should be content as far as anyone could see,

But when I roll my eyes into my head,

I almost wish that I were dead

I am not good enough for me

Please save this poor fool! Please lift his curse

As he trudges through an endless rain of self-regret

I am too lazy. I am too dim

All these deprecating words just make me want to choke

Beating myself up, grasping at straws,

Trying in vain to fix myself, and I wonder,

"Am I even broke?"

It's as pointless as trying to walk to the sun,

And I know it to be true,

But when I can't stand my actions and words,

I don't know what else to do to fix myself

I can still see the skeletons as I continue with my day,

But does it matter if I see some stray bones lying in my way?

I'm not just some poor fool who's been put under a curse,

Drowning in a bottomless ocean of regret

I can't just keep on destroying myself

What good will that do in the end?

Slaying my demons, freeing my mind

Trying to fix myself just hurts me more

'Cause I ain't even broke

'Cause I ain't even broke

As a challenge to see if I could transcribe, play, and perform a relatively simple rock song, I decided to learn a song from one of my favorite bands. I suppose I did a decent job. This should at least show that I can play well. I hope you enjoy it, and I highly suggest checking out the original song.

This is the earliest version of my channel's ending theme song. I have since renamed the song "Hoshizora" and re-arranged it for a full rock band. However, it started out as a simple chord progression, which I decided to show everyone.

I would like to introduce you guys to my shitposting habit. In between major videos, I might make a shitpost with an update on the next video's progress in the description. Here's one I posted once I had finished filming the Andromida video and was about to edit it. I had received a vintage X JAPAN T-shirt for Christmas, which I had framed and put on the wall that I filmed the Andromida video in front of. I decided to make a short video praising it in a really weird way. I hope you can at least get a cheap laugh out of it.

Here's the earliest version of my YouTube channel's main theme song. I came up with this groove almost instantly, quickly built on it, and cheaply recorded it for all to hear. I have since added lead guitar and bongo drums to the song, but the bass guitar remains its core. I will upload some more complex musical content in the future.

This was my first major video project. It took me months since it was my first video, it was really long, and I didn't even have editing software when I filmed it. Fortunately, it's out now, and you can watch it as much as you please. Even though my process of making videos like these has been refined, the style is pretty much the same. I hope you enjoy my video, and I hope you check out some of the bands that I've named here. After all, those were the goals of this video.

Originally aired: Feb 20th, 2017I created this video as my second major Youtube video project and as the first in a series. This series is currently ongoing with two additional entries currently on YouTube. Ultimately, the "Up and Coming" series is meant to honor new musicians that I happen to discover. I review all of the material that has been released thus far, throwing in a bit of comedy and lots of editing for a person with little experience with either of those things.

I decided that I needed to have a proper song on this site. This is my very first multi-tracked song, and while I certainly didn't do perfectly, I'm proud of the end result. I hope to record songs like this with better equipment soon. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this neat little composition.

Here's a video I quickly put out while I was working on my first big YouTube video. I didn't think much of it, but the reception has been surprisingly positive, so I figured that since I'm posting almost in chronological order, I might as well make this my first video. I hope you like it.
