If you are still under the impression hand sanitizer is as good or better for you than regular handwashing with soap and water, it's time to get educated. Many hand sanitizers contain rubbing alcohol as the active bactericidal ingredient, which may dry your skin.
If you really must use hand sanitizer, you'd be better off making your own. Check out the video above for more information.
In this interview board-certified internist and biological warfare epidemiologist Dr. Meryl Nass discusses the dangers posed by the World Health Organization's upcoming pandemic treaty and the International Health Regulation (IHR) amendments. She also wrote about this in a recent article titled "The WHO’s Proposed Treaty Will Increase Manmade Pandemics."
The World Health Organization's upcoming pandemic treaty and the International Health Regulation (IHR) amendments are part of a global “soft coup” to strip nations of their sovereignty and people of their bodily autonomy and freedom.
The WHO wants to put into law a requirement that nations must censor their citizens, so that only public health messages aligned with the WHO’s recommendations can be shared.
The IHR amendments specify that the WHO will dictate which drugs countries must use, and which they cannot, in the event of a pandemic — and possibly outside of pandemics as well.
The IHRs have been in existence since 1969, but in the current draft of the IHR amendments, the WHO’s recommendations become edicts that must be followed rather than recommendations that nations can ignore at will.
The treaty demands the fast-tracking of vaccines, along with liability waivers for vaccine manufacturers. The EU, U.S. and CEPI have already proposed a plan to develop vaccines in 100 days.

2018 Interview
The secret to lifelong health and peak performance is modeling the lifestyle behaviors of our hunter gatherer ancestors — the so-called Paleolithic approach. Mark Sisson, founder of the popular website Mark’s Daily Apple and a leader in the paleo movement, was one of the first to help me understand the importance of burning fat for fuel. This is also the topic of his book, “The Keto Reset Diet: Reboot Your Metabolism in 21 Days and Burn Fat Forever.”
The secret to lifelong health and peak performance is modeling the lifestyle behaviors of our hunter gatherer ancestors — the so-called Paleolithic approach
A heart rate of 180 minus your age is the ideal maximum heart rate for building aerobic capacity. That’s the heart rate at which you burn the most fat and tap into your glycogen stores the least. For this reason, you also need to be an efficient fat burner
The greatest health hazard of aging is not loss of aerobic capacity but loss of metabolic capacity and the metabolic flexibility that comes with lean muscle mass
Adults over 45 will accomplish greater health and fitness gains by building muscle than by taking up running. Collagen supplementation can help keep your tendons, ligaments, cartilage and joints strong and supple
Once you regain the metabolic flexibility to burn fat for fuel, your body can extract energy from any substrate available, be it dietary fat, stored body fat or liver ketones, or dietary carbs, glycogen in your muscle or glucose in your bloodstream. As a result, your energy soars and hunger is greatly diminished

2018 Interview
Kai-Fu Lee, Ph.D., a leading expert on artificial intelligence (AI), a venture capitalist and author of “AI Superpowers: China, Silicon Valley, and the New World Order,” has spent decades working for tech giants such as Apple, Microsoft and Google, both in China and Silicon Valley. He got his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, one of the most prestigious AI institutions in the U.S., if not the world.
Kai-Fu Lee’s book, “AI Superpowers: China, and Silicon Valley, and the New World Order,” discusses the implications of artificial intelligence, to help people make wiser educational and career choices in coming decades
While AI can enhance and work symbiotically with a number of professions, such as lawyers, doctors, government officials, CEOs and scientists, many jobs will become obsolete as AI starts beating human performance
Telemarketing jobs, loan officers, customer service, fruit and berry pickers, dishwashers, drivers, assembly line inspectors and many others will eventually become a thing of the past
In many ways, the Chinese are head and neck ahead of Silicon Valley. For example, WeChat has the functionality of Facebook, iMessage, Uber, Expedia, Evite, Instagram, Skype, PayPal, Grubhub, Amazon, LimeBike and WebMD, all in one smartphone app
AI works by looking at huge amounts of data, for example, purchase patterns on Amazon, to learn your preferences and habits, plus audio and video data, paired with facial and speech recognition. All this user data will eventually lead to the creation of autonomous robots and vehicles

In this interview, Dr. Nasha Winters, a naturopathic physician who specializes in supporting patients with cancer, discusses the importance of optimizing your metabolic health because, as she notes:
"All the diseases affecting us today — cardiovascular disease, dementias and Alzheimer's, obesity, diabetes, cancer — all of these things have a common denominator, which is metabolic [dysfunction]."
Most chronic diseases affecting us today, including heart disease, dementia, obesity, diabetes and cancer are rooted in metabolic dysfunction.
October 10 is the International Metabolic Health Day. Celebrate by assessing your metabolic health and cleaning up your diet
One of the best ways to identify metabolic flexibility and health is a fasting insulin test. Ideally, you want it to be below 3.
If you’re already eating a healthy diet, exercising, and all of your metabolic parameters look good, yet you have an insulin level of 7 or 8, stress may be the culprit, because cortisol raises insulin. Cortisol release is actually a rescue mechanism to ensure you don’t die from low blood sugar.
The Metabolic Terrain Institute of Health will be a truly integrated residential oncology hospital and metabolic research institute. Once funding has been secured, they expect to be up and running within 18 months.

2017 Interview
Eating real, nonprocessed food is the key to sustaining good health, but even when it comes to whole food, its quality is largely determined by how it was grown. Certified organic food is recommended to avoid toxic contaminants such as pesticides. But even organic foods may be lacking in important nutrients if grown in nutrient-poor soils. To truly build good topsoil, you have to implement regenerative farming methods, many of which are not automatically required by organic standards.
Food quality is determined by how it was grown. Certified organic food helps you avoid pesticides. But even organic foods may be lacking in important nutrients if grown in nutrient-poor soils.
Biodynamic farming is a spiritual-ethical-ecological approach to agriculture initially developed by Rudolf Steiner in the 1920s. It’s an approach that can provide far superior harvests while simultaneously healing the Earth.
The Biodynamic view is that a farm is a living organism — self-contained, self-sustaining, following the cycles of nature, and able to create its own health and vitality out of the living dynamics of the farm.
The organic standard is the base of the Demeter standard, which then goes much further, taking into account the core idea of the farm as a closed system; solutions to disease, pest and weed control comes out of the farm system itself.
Demeter is a global Biodynamic certification agency. Formed in 1928 in Germany, it’s the oldest ecological certification organization in the world. In Germany, 10 percent of the organic farmland is Biodynamic.

In this video, which is the second half of our two-part interview, Georgi Dinkov and I continue our discussion about the biochemistry of human metabolism and the process of aging. Part one can be viewed on my Substack site.
We begin by reviewing a complex concept that is not understood by any health experts, and that is the concept of reductive stress, which plays a crucial role in accelerated aging. As it turns out, what science refers to as “oxidative stress” is actually secondary to reductive stress resulting in the production of excess free radicals. Once you understand this process, it becomes easier to determine the best ways to combat it.
What medicine refers to as “oxidative stress” is actually reductive stress resulting in the production of free radicals. Once you understand this process, it becomes easier to understand how to optimize your health
According to the rate-of-living theory, the higher your metabolic rate — which means the quicker the electrons move from food toward oxygen, which is the final acceptor of electrons — the faster you'll age because there'll be higher oxidative stress. But deeper analysis reveals the exact opposite appears to be the case
The truth is, the higher your metabolic rate, the slower you age, because high metabolism creates fewer reactive oxygen species (ROS)
Your metabolism is high when electrons move rapidly and easily through the mitochondrial electron transport chain. When electrons are impeded from moving forward, they can back up, leak through the mitochondrial membrane and start moving backward, where they combine with oxygen to create excessive ROS

Cauliflower is one of many cruciferous vegetables, including broccoli, cabbage and kale. While commonly known for its white color, it also comes in purple, green and orange varieties. Cauliflower is a very versatile vegetable that shows up on relish plates, can be sautéed in stir-fries, pickled with onions, roasted on skewers and can even be mashed.
In this video, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., discusses his presidential campaign, which has gained significant traction, despite censorship and the barriers set up by the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
We also discuss some of the issues he intends to tackle if he gets into the White House. By now, it’s clear that, as a country, we're facing a constitutional crisis. Elected officials are actively working to censor, silence and smear anyone who disagrees with them, including Kennedy.

In this interview, Timothy Noakes, MD, Ph.D., a physician, and sports medicine researcher in South Africa, clarifies common confusions about sports hydration and high-carb diets.
Noakes graduated from medical school in Cape Town, South Africa, in 1974, and received his research degree a few years later. Since then, he’s published more than 750 papers and two books, including the groundbreaking book, “Waterlogged: The Serious Problem of Overhydration in Endurance Sports.”
“Waterlogged” countered the conventional view that you should drink as much as you can, even before you feel thirsty, to optimize your hydration. As it turns out, that can be dangerous advice for endurance athletes.
Runners can jeopardize their life by drinking too much water during a long-distance event. An estimated 10% to 20% of people have inappropriate secretion of antidiuretic hormone and retain fluid even though they're overhydrated. As a result, they can lose consciousness and may die unless given diuretic treatment
The treatment for overhydration is to give a high-saline IV (3% to 5% sodium). The sodium will absorb and help expel the excess water through urination, typically resulting in rapid recovery
For non-athletes who are metabolically inflexible and have insulin resistance, a low-carb diet can help you regain your metabolic flexibility
Once you’ve regained your metabolic flexibility, scientific evidence suggests a diet higher in carbs (primarily from ripe fruit) and restricting fat to about 30% of calories can optimize energy production and minimize harmful reactive oxygen species (ROS) production

When I graduated medical school, the incident of autism was 1 in 10,000. For the first decade of my medical practice, I didn't have a single autistic patient. By the mid- to late-1990s, I was treating hundreds of autistic children in my practice, and since then, autism has reached truly epidemic proportions.
In her 2010 book, “A Compromised Generation: The Epidemic of Chronic Illness in America’s Children,” Lambert reviewed not only the epidemic of autism but also other childhood epidemics, such as autoimmune diseases, and their environmental root causes.

Annie Hopper is a limbic retraining specialist. While you may never have heard this term, limbic hyperactivity or dysfunction appears to be a foundational core of the dysfunction and challenges associated with multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS), electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS), chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), fibromyalgia and a number of other conditions, and by retraining your limbic system to respond appropriately, symptoms may subside or vanish.
Limbic hyperactivity or dysfunction appears to be a foundational core of the dysfunction and challenges associated with multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS), electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS), chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), fibromyalgia (FM)and a number of other conditions
Your limbic system is the emotional and reactive part of your brain, responsible for filtering sensory and emotional information, and sorting that information into two distinct categories: safe or unsafe
When neurons along that neural network are damaged or not working functionally, your limbic system can start to categorize information that would not normally be considered dangerous as life-threatening; essentially, your brain gets stuck in the fight-flight-or-freeze mechanism
Limbic retraining helps you retrain your limbic system to respond in a functional manner, thereby reducing symptoms
Remember, though, even if your symptoms dissipate through limbic retraining, you still need to mitigate the cellular injury that toxic chemicals, mold or EMF exposure has inflicted

In this interview, Mike Dow, Psy.D., and author of “Your Subconscious Brain Can Change Your Life: Overcome Obstacles, Heal Your Body, and Reach Any Goal with a Revolutionary Technique,” reveals how tapping into your subconscious through a modern form of hypnosis can help you heal mind, body and soul.
Most meditation takes you into alpha brainwaves. Hypnosis takes you into theta, an even slower brainwave and a state in which you become highly suggestible
Hypnosis and self-hypnosis are great tools that can help you overcome barriers that may be preventing you from implementing healthy lifestyle strategies
Your subconscious can affect just about anything, both psychological and physical, so hypnosis can be used as a treatment adjunct for most health issues. It can even boost T cell counts, reduce bleeding and combat cancer cell proliferation
When considering hypnosis as a healing modality, seek out a licensed professional with advanced training from the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis
Hypnosis increases the connection between the prefrontal cortex and the insula, which they believe allows the subconscious to take control over and influence the body according to its new programming

Anxiety has exponentially risen in recent years. Not only do more than half of all American college students report anxiety, research also shows anxiety — characterized by constant and overwhelming worry and fear — is now 800% more prevalent than all forms of cancer.
An estimated 40 million Americans, about 18% of the population over the age of 18, struggle with anxiety, including more than half of all American college students.
While several factors can contribute to anxiety, including diet, toxic exposures and sociological conditions, research suggests you may also inherit a predisposition to anxiety from your parents.
Animal research shows connectivity between two brain regions involved in the processing of fear and anxiety can be passed from parents to offspring.
Paralleling the rise in anxiety is the chronic exposure to microwave radiation from wireless technologies, and research shows this exposure can have a direct influence on your mental health.
The way you breathe is intricately connected to your mental state; improper breathing triggers anxiety by causing an imbalance in your bodily gases. Breathing techniques and other drug-free treatment strategies are addressed.

Learn simple remedies and tools that can help you address common vision problems and see how your diet, lifestyle and stress can also impact your vision.
Your eyes have high oxygen requirements as their metabolic rate is high, so once your body or brain begins to deteriorate, your eyes are among the first places where symptoms initially emerge
Exposure to radiation, especially a lot of electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure from cellphones and Wi-Fi routers can tax the eyes. Your eyes are also highly susceptible to and damaged by polyunsaturated fats (PUFAs) such as linoleic acid.
Macular degeneration is commonly related to excessive PUFA intake. Many with glaucoma tend to be affected by mold, or they have root canals or mercury fillings, while cataracts are caused by environmental toxicity, nutrient deficiencies and low antioxidant status.
You can stop the progression of many eye diseases by eating unprocessed foods, cutting out seed oils and improving your nutrient status. Zinc and vitamin C are two nutrients that are particularly important for eye health.
If your eyeglass prescription is based on your vision at 20 feet, then when you’re working on something up close, like your computer, your prescription is actually 20 times too strong. Wearing those glasses while working all day will definitely make your vision worse, so consider getting a second set of glasses that are set for the distance of your computer.

In this interview, repeat guest Georgi Dinkov and I will again take a deep dive into the biochemistry of human metabolism. Dinkov is a student of the late Ray Peat, a biologist, thyroid expert and pioneer in prometabolic therapy and human metabolism.
Cortisol is primarily a rescue hormone. It's a glucocorticoid, so it increases your glucose level by shredding your muscle protein to produce glucose. Cortisol also accelerates the aging process and is implicated in most chronic diseases. It also uses your brain tissue to use amino acids to make glucose which contributes to brain atrophy and subsequent depression.
Your mitochondria can only burn one fuel at a time — either fat or glucose — and there’s a stealth switch that controls which of these fuels your mitochondria will burn. This switch is known as the Randle cycle.
Ideally, you want to metabolize (burn) glucose in your mitochondria, as this only generates 0.1% reactive oxygen species (ROS). This route also generates energy most efficiently, creating 36 to 38 adenosine triphosphates (ATP) for every molecule of glucose that is metabolized. For this to occur, you need to consume less than 30% of your calories as fat.
When you consume significantly more than 30% fat, the switch changes to burn fat in your mitochondria. As a result, glucose then backs up into your bloodstream, raising your blood sugar. This is a major contributor to diabetes.
When you lose muscle, your basal metabolic rate goes down, so it’s important to maintain muscle mass, because your muscle will burn fat even when you’re resting.

If you're not optimally healthy, could candida be at fault? In this interview, British osteopath and naturopath, Dr. Leon Chaitow, author of "Candida Albicans: Natural Remedies for Yeast Infection," discusses its dangers — and more importantly, how to address this exceedingly common infection.
Candida albicans is a very pervasive yeast. While normally harmless, if your immune system becomes disrupted from exposure to antibiotics, poor diet or lack of sleep, candida can begin to grow out of control
Common signs and symptoms of candida overgrowth include white coating on your tongue, sudden development of food sensitivities, aches and pains, gut problems, persistent fatigue, skin problems and vaginitis
The remedy is simple: Implement a lifestyle that boosts immune function. Eat a low net-carb, high-fiber diet to nourish beneficial bacteria while suppressing opportunistic fungi like candida that feed on sugar

2016 Interview
Is saturated fat really the health hazard it’s been made out to be? Dr. Aseem Malhotra is an interventional cardiologist consultant in London, U.K., who gained quite a bit of publicity after the publication of his peer-reviewed editorial1 in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) in 2013.
Saturated fat and cholesterol have little to do with the development of heart disease. Data shows two-thirds of people admitted to hospitals with acute myocardial infarction have completely normal cholesterol levels
Fats can be harmful, but it’s important to be specific. Fats that contribute to heart disease are primarily trans fats and highly refined and/or heated polyunsaturated vegetable oils (PUFAs), which are high in damaged omega-6
For optimal health, seek to get 75 to 85 percent of your total calories as healthy fat, primarily monosaturated and saturated. Limit PUFAs to 10 percent and omega-6 fats to 5 percent

Here's some good news, for a change: The European Commission — the administrative arm of the European Union — recently proposed a ban on dental amalgam as of January 1, 2025. This includes not only the use but also the manufacture and export of dental amalgam.
The European Commission has proposed a ban on dental amalgam as of January 1, 2025. This includes not only the use but also the manufacture and export of dental amalgam. The European Parliament and Council must ratify the proposal for it to become law
Once amalgam is banned in the EU, it’ll be difficult for the U.S. and Canada to hold on to the barbaric and archaic practice of loading neurotoxic mercury into people’s mouths.
Countries that have already phased out or banned dental mercury include the Philippines, New Caledonia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Moldova.
Countries that have banned the use of amalgam in children, pregnant women and breastfeeding women include Tanzania and Vietnam. Mauritius has banned it for children. Bangladesh has ended its use in the Armed Forces, Indonesia has stopped using it in government programs, and the Indian Armed Forces and the Indian Railway, the world’s largest employer, have also ended its use
Please support the mission of Consumers for Dental Choice to end the use of dental mercury worldwide. Donations made during Mercury Awareness Week will be matched dollar for dollar.
