For my next Tuesday/Thursday series after completing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time last week, let's change things up and play something a little more relaxing. This will also mark the first business management simulation game I've played on my channel. Welcome to Arcade Paradise!
Arcade Paradise is a story-driven business management simulator that doesn't start like you would expect it to. Your character's father is the richest man in your hometown, and you're assigned to manage one of his businesses; a laundromat known as King Wash. I know what you're thinking: "a laundromat? I thought it was supposed to be an arcade?" Well, after your dad teaches you the ropes of the laundromat, you pick up the key to the back room, and there you find a few arcade machines within. After chatting with your sister Lesley on the computer in your office, you empty the coin hoppers in the arcade machines and think, "Wow, this could be a very lucrative business opportunity, better than laundry!" So you get to work transforming the laundromat into a glitzy arcade behind Dad's back!
There are several tasks to do throughout each day: do laundry for the customers, take out the trash, fix the toilet, empty the coin hoppers, deposit the coins into the safe in your office, and above all else, play the arcade games! Yes, unlike other arcade management simulators like Arcadecraft or Arcade Tycoon (I may play those games on my channel later on), you can actually play the games in your arcade yourself! This plays a vital role in the arcade's profits, as playing the machines boosts their popularity with the customers. There is also a list of goals for each game that you can check through your PDA, and completing them nets a bigger popularity boost for the game. So this is not just a business management simulator, but also a whole set of games within the game!

With the mystic key in hand, we can now raid previously inaccessible rooms from the beginning of the game, one of which has TNT which we need to blow open a water passage to the outside world!
This hack essentially does to FF1 on the NES that Final Fantasy 4 Ultima did to FF4, bringing you a fresh, tougher Final Fantasy with greater depth and tactics. There are numerous creative deviations and system overhauls, though care has been taken to ensure the game still “feels like FF”.
Along with the game you will find a comprehensive guide and maps valuable to any new adventurer. Think of them as your replacement for the original paper charts which came with the NES cartridge back in the day.

In the next ALTTP Randomizer seed, Celes goes on a twofold quest in Hyrule. First, she must reassemble the Triforce from 40 pieces scattered throughout the land. Then she must harness its power to kill the evil Ganon! Springfest is in the air! This time, rather than a folk tale rematch like in Splatoon 2, this time it's a battle of fuzzy, fluffy creatures with Baby Chicks, Li'l Bunnies, and Bear Cubs duking it out! This time @GamesPerJustin joins in for a mix of everything: Tricolor, Open, and Salmon Run! Together we had 4 fistbumps, 2 10x wins, and 1 encounter with a 100x battle that got cancelled by an enemy DC. The weekend is finally upon us, so let's celebrate with another feature-length marathon spanning all modes! Regular races, Team Battle, Grand Prix, Mini Prix, Classic Mode, the works! Here, I got my first 2:28 run on Port Town 2, my first win on Mirror White Land 1, and managed to finish within half a second of @Misalol on both White Wind and Mirror Port Town 1 (which was also my first sub-1:50 run). I'll take that as a win in its own right.

In the next ALTTP Randomizer seed, Selan comes to Hyrule from the Lufia universe to reassemble the piece of the land's sacred triangles. However, she has limited powerups to work with as she tries to navigate flipped portions of the overworld and dungeons with random connectors and random bosses!

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the newest member of my randomizer rotation: the Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest Randomizer! This randomizer shuffles all items in the game around (including Oak Stakes) by default, but also has other options like an enemy randomizer, a town/mansion randomizer, a door randomizer, custom character sprites, and also some difficulty modifiers. Instead of using alphanumeric sequences of characters to label different seeds, this one mashes four words together to create sometimes humorous phrases. If you want to play a specific seed that I'm playing in these videos, copy the video title into the "Randomizer Seed" section on the website and remove the spaces.

It's Friday, which means it's time to go oldschool with some Classic SNES F-Zero-style races! Here I had a pretty good win streak up until the penultimate race!
Classic Mode is a mode for only 20 players that replicates the rules and style of the OG F-Zero on SNES. This means no Spin Attack, no Skyway, only one boost per lap after the first, no energy expansions from KOs, and narrower tracks in a 4:3 aspect ratio. 12 tracks are available for this mode, including all 8 tracks from the normal race pool and all 4 tracks from the Pro Tracks pool. The only tracks you can't play in this mode are the Grand Prix Finales (Silence, White Land 2, Fire Field), though they are now available randomly in Classic Mini Prix events. With this mode comes unlockable customizations for your pilot card, including badges for winning 1st place in a Classic race and for finishing a Classic race on all 12 tracks, and a border modeled after an SNES cartridge for playing Classic mode 25 times.

With the crown in hand, let's head back to the Western Keep and return it to the king...wait, Astos?! Yep, the king is actually the Dark Elf himself, and he's even tougher here than he was in the OG FF1! Once he's dead, take his crystal to Matoya to get an herb to cure the prince of his sickness, and then you get the Mystic Key, which you can use to open previously inaccessible treasure rooms in Corneria Castle, the Temple of Fiends, and even back in the dreaded Marsh Cave! In this version there is also a bonus superboss behind Astos's throne guarding a crapton of Gil!
This hack essentially does to FF1 on the NES that Final Fantasy 4 Ultima did to FF4, bringing you a fresh, tougher Final Fantasy with greater depth and tactics. There are numerous creative deviations and system overhauls, though care has been taken to ensure the game still “feels like FF”.
Along with the game you will find a comprehensive guide and maps valuable to any new adventurer. Think of them as your replacement for the original paper charts which came with the NES cartridge back in the day.

It's Thursday, which means time for more Team Battles in F-Zero 99. Here I had a couple fierce rivalries with a Fox and a Goose, and lost one time to the highest team KO score I've seen so far!
In Team Battle, the 99 racers are divided into two teams: the Green Team and the Pink Team. Here, finishing in 1st place is only part of the battle. There are four different ways to score for your team in this mode. You score Spin Points by simply hitting players on the enemy team with your Spin Attack. You score KO Points by delivering the killing blow on an enemy player (the max energy bonus from KOs applies to all members of your team in this mode). You score Bumper Points by getting a Lucky Bumper after getting KO'd and bumping into enemy racers (so you can still help your team from the grave). You score Lap Points depending on your current position at the end of each lap (obviously the higher your position the more points you score). After the race, the total scores in all four categories for each team are added together, and the team with the highest combined score is the winner.

With a pirate ship at our disposal, we now travel by sea to our next area. There we find the kingdom of Elfheim in a coma, struck ill by the Dark Elf Astos. To rescue him we go northwest to the Western Keep to find that Astos has also stolen the king's crown! The crown is hidden inside the Marsh Cave, the site of the game's first major difficulty spike, so let's go!

All of the sages have been rescued, and now they have created a bridge to Ganondorf's evil castle! The inner tower is protected by six barriers. Each barrier corresponds with one of the sages, and is guarded by a mini-dungeon based on the sage's respective temple. However, there is one more treasure inside the Shadow door that we need to break two of the barriers and complete the dungeon.

Hi, I'm MetalSmasher, and gaming has been a lifelong passion of mine, ever since the NES came out around the time I was born. And with the passion of video games comes the passion of recording video game walkthroughs and helping others through trouble spots. My parents bought our first NES for themselves around the time my brother was in kindergarten and I was just born, but as we grew up, we got sucked into it as well, and the rest is history.
This channel will mainly focus on the nostalgia of the golden age of gaming, but I will go into the modern era as well to show off all eras of gaming as much as possible. I will also spice things up by doing self-imposed challenges, and playing random online matches with viewers, friends, and just randoms.
Videos will be uploaded every day. One main series on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, another main series on Tuesdays and Thursdays, a one-off on Sundays, and random videos of whatever I feel like on Saturdays!
