Walking through fields surrounded by sheep I enjoy the joys of Spring before arriving in Shepherdswell where the trail converges with the Via Francigena.

Taking a countryside walk surrounded by snow near Ashford, in Kent, on 13/12/2022 I reflect on the differences this year following the previous two Christmases impacted by Covid-19, and how in many ways, because of the ongoing uncertainty with Russia/Ukraine, nothing has changed.

Leaving Littlebourne on 11/11/2022 following the Royal Saxon Way I appreciate the open space around me and the peacefulness of the Little Stour river. I conclude my pilgrimage with an abrupt arrival in Minster making it for the bus in the nick of time.

NB: At 02:52 I mention the route originates from the 'Creative Pilgrims' group, unfortunately I confused this with the nascent Way of Saint Martin; instead this route originates from a collaboration between Kent County Council and Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Beauty. My sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Taking a hike along the walking route known as the 'Tolsford Trek' on 27/08/22 I commentate throughout the different stages of my journey. Whilst enjoying the panaroma overlooking the English Channel, passing through thick woodland, climbing tall hills and meandering down a calm lane I reflect on the worrying onset of increasing energy prices whilst taking in the spectacular scenery and serenity of nature.

During an urban expedition to find blackberries with my son Edison on 14/08/2022, I update how the news has been dominated by Russia, Ukraine and the worsening cost of living/energy crisis. Whilst Edison rides his ATV I conclude by reflecting on Edison's progress ahead of his school start date in a few weeks' time.

Starting my sixth (and final day) on the Camino Augustine pilgrimage along the banks of the River Stour, on 13/06/2022  I progress through the fertile fields of Kent and experience the peace of Pegwell Bay.  Along the journey I ponder a forthcoming recession, Rwanda and the meaning of Pilgrimage before arriving at St. Augustines Abbey, Ramsgate and collecting my Compostela certificate.

During a visit to the park in Aldington, Kent on 17/07/2021 with my son Edison I update on the lingering societal impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in spite of the large number of people who have received their vaccinations and the forthcoming United Kingdom 'Freedom Day' .  In contrast, I add how from August 1st, France will require mandatory proof of vaccinations or a negative Covid test to enter supermarkets as the segregation and discrimination against non-vaccinated people begins to emerge.

The phrase "Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from the virus  they got vaccinated against because you're not vaccinated" exemplifies my confusion with many people's opinion.
