Happy new moon! in this video we are aligning our chakras & awakening our body via yoga and using essential oils.
the new moon came in at 5:55 pm on sept 25th and it is a powerful one, one that is about change and transformation.

what is a chakra? it is a spining wheeel or disc of energy on our body that can influence our health, energy, emotions & behaviours.

when one is out of alignment, other can become out of alignment too. This can create blockages, which can affect our well-being, health and our ability to manifest the things we want in our lives.

By activating our chakras and setting new intentions during the new moon, we can start to manifest more of what we want into our life-whether that's better health, more joy, abundance, a better job, better relationships. In this yoga practice we are letting go of and releasing trauma in our body by working and releasing the psoas muscle.

when we go through trauma and times of chronic stress, we may experience PTSD, anxiety & depression, and can wear it in our body, and that trauma will get stored in our psoas. Our psoas connects with our vagus nerve, which connects with every organ in our body.

By practicing trauma sensitive yoga, which also include somatic cueing we are able to empower ourselves to release the trauma, and manage our symptoms better.

There is a psoas shake at the end, which is optional at the end. If you dont do the psoas shake, make sure to go for a walk afterwards.

Personally as someone who has gone through trauma, PTSD, anxiety and Depression, and is still working through managing symptoms, making time to practice this 1-2 times a week makes a huge difference on my mind, body and soul.
