The Boomer Generation was enticed with the promise of endless sports games if they would just give video games a chance.

The Boomer Generation needed constant reminders that it was okay to play video games.

They didn't really listen.

Mario has starred in several games on the GameBoy, so let's talk about them.

As fun as it sounds to review every single game that came out on the GameBoy, there's some games that I just don't want to talk about, and quite a few that you probably don't even want to hear about.

You know those games you love? You're wrong.

You should always be looking ahead, but looking backwards is usually easier. Let's take one more look at those GameBoy games I talked about in 2023 and make a couple Top 5 lists.

The team chew over a tasty scandal and Panda learns that the real internet drama is the friends he galvanized along the way.

I've been making a list. I've checked it twice. Let's see which GameBoy games are getting presents and which ones are getting coal.

Welp ... that's fun

Ninjas and mutants may have been at peak popularity during 90s, but you should never rule out cavemen.

This Halloween season I'm taking a look at some of my all-time favorite spooky games.

This is a full remake of a trilogy of Halloween-theme games I very roughly threw together years ago.

Mega Man is my favorite video game character and my favorite video game series, but my relationship with the original NES game has always been a bit rocky. While once I hated the game for its clunky and [comparatively] unrefined gameplay, I've grown to be quite fond of it in recent years.

There's no denying that the game is quite challenging, but is it really one of the hardest NES games of all time?

Let's take a closer look.

Oh my GAWD, it's Silver Surfer! To quote a certain angry video game reviewer, the difficulty of this game is LEGENDARY!!!

However, does this game actually deserve this reputation... or is this simply a flagrant case of unabashedly unchecked internet hyperbole?

Let's find out!

Many thanks to At Dawn and Doctor Bollox for lending their voices!

Is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES one of the hardest and worstest games of all time, or is it just another casualty of angry video game reviews? Paco and I take a closer look at Konami's polarizing take on the most sensational franchises of all time.

Stop me if you’ve heard this, but apparently people have invented a term to explain why they’re so terrible at video games: “NES-Hard.” I guess because all NES games are hard? I dunno, I don’t get it either...

Anyway, because I’m fond of disagreeing with popular opinion, I decided to make a list of the NES games most often mentioned in conversations about the “hardest games of all time” ... and then play those games... and then make videos about them and stuff.

I don’t know if I’m explaining it very well, so maybe check out my video and hopefully you’ll see where I’m going with this.

A lot of good music is also featured in this video:

"Avi's News Report" (Mighty No. 9)
"Dr Wily Stage 2" (Mega Man Powered Up)
"Dr Wily Stage Map" and "Dr Wily Stage Selection" (Mega Man 11)
"Dense Forest Battle" (Jukebeat / Contra Compilation Vol 2: The Beginning of Legends)
"Advancement" (Mega Man X8)
And, of course, a handful of selections from the amazing Contra OST.

Oh, and here's the link for that other video I mention: https://youtu.be/Xe-h9QuqobY
