Rigor Mortis' second mashup (or rather, the second one that we've published). "Four Painkillers Ahead" started off as Rigor's first attempt at a mashup. It has seen a lot of changes since then, but after revisiting the project, he's finalized the song and I took the liberty of making a simple animated video for it.

This is also a good opportunity to say that a third mashup is being considered for the near future, but at the moment, Rigor is still experimenting. We do, however, have some pleasant surprises for the next few weeks. Stay tuned and be ready to witness what this channel was meant for.

This is not one of our crazy edits; THIS IS REAL. The episode's editors cut out the part where he said $#!+, but it's enough for people to understand where he was going with it.

It's not even in our StupEDITS playlist, because it's NOT AN EDIT! If you don't believe us, watch it on Nick.com or something, put on some good headphones, and go to this part of the video. It's there.

To make your life easier, here's a link to it:
http://www.nick.com/spongebob-squarepants/videos/patchy-the-pirate-presents-the-spongebob-squarepants-christmas-special-s2-ep8-full-episode/

We couldn't find anything about that line anywhere. It's not on the Wiki, and we haven't seen any forums that talk about it, so apparently, no one found out about this until now?

Not sure how many people realized it by now, but I had this epiphany during the Sweater vs. Socks Splatfest. On his food truck, Crusty Sean has stickers indicating he accepts credit cards, but when you talk to him, he only allows people to buy his stuff if they have the specific ticket. He admits that he makes the rules, yet he STILL doesn't take down the credit card stickers, so his business contradicts itself!

For those of you who don't know, Crust Bucket tickets are SO MUCH harder to obtain than cash. You would either have to participate in Salmon Run (which is not available every day), find them hidden across Octo Valley, or grind for 1500 power eggs in Octo Valley after you max out all your gear for EACH TICKET! Meanwhile, you can get loads of cash just for participating in online battles like Turf War, Ranked, or League, so you'd think payment by credit/debit card is the most convenient.

Since he's the one who decided this rule, is it safe to assume that he signed some sort of contract with Grizzco, DJ Octavio, and Callie to distribute tickets to his business? If so, he chose the wrong tactics if he wants more customers, because I get that businesses need some quirks to remain interesting to the public eye, but if the items required to receive service is difficult to obtain, you'll turn away a whole bunch of potential customers, resulting in less income than if you use an easily acquirable method of payment. If he insists on using the ticket system, he should form a contract with a currency conversion stall instead so that players can convert their in-game cash to tickets, but that system would just have as many unnecessary steps as the Splatoon Voice Chat. And while he's at it, he should remove that American Express sticker along with all the other Credit/Debit Card Acceptance stickers, because having that displayed when he doesn't accept them is borderline false advertising and those who want to pay in cash (myself included) will be turned off when they hear the news, resulting in EVEN LESS potential customers!

JUST ACCEPT CASH AS PAYMENT, CRUSTY SEAN!!! OR DO YOU WANT THE CRUST BUCKET TO HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF CUSTOMER TRAFFIC AS THE CHUM BUCKET??!!

Although this was a great film, it has been the source of many jokes, especially the prayer scene (OH MAH LOOOOORRD, LORD LORD LOOOOOOORRRRDDD!!!!!).

It was until we rewatched the Fort Wagner scene many times that we realized this was one big Banzai Charge after Colonel Shaw gets killed.

Rigor Mortis also made a Glory video edit of a different scene from the movie. You can check it out here (WARNING: EARRAPE!!!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4sNFHESumA

NO NARRATION INCLUDED!
Inspired by CinemaSins. Go sub to them if you aren't subbed already!
https://www.youtube.com/user/CinemaSins

Since our first Baby Shark video had some lines from CinemaSins, we decided to try our hand at an Everything Wrong With video. And boy, we were surprised at how many sins are in that 2-minute video!

We decided to change the name of the Sin Counter to Wince Counter due to the sheer number of times we ended up wincing at BABY SHARK DOO DOO DO DOO DO DOO. We thought of collecting Jeremy's lines throughout the series to make a parody similar to the "Its Everyday Bro But Its Exposed By Berleezy" video (For reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSs_xmUzUwo), but since the errors are pretty specific, it was basically impossible to match voice lines, and it's better to come up with your own lines anyway. The problem that remains is none of us has a mic that's already set up, so we decided to just ditch the narration, and Rigor Mortis actually prefers it to be silent like this. If you think it should be voiced, let us know in the comments, but no promises that we'll revisit this abomination known as Baby Shark.

Most importantly, this took so much time to make. This was made from scratch for 5 12-hour days! We now have a newfound respect for CinemaSins making their Everything Wrong With videos!

Apparently, this is a meme in the Philippines. This bootleg Jaws with an annoying looping melody (just like all other bootleg toys) became just as popular as Gangnam Style and fidget spinners that it's played on the streets, blasted in SM Supermalls, and danced to during parties (including parties where there aren't even any kids attending).

Heck, they're even making a thing called the "Baby Shark Challenge" where people record themselves dancing to this, as if it's the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge all over again. I don't even know why they're calling it a challenge when, as far as I know, people aren't daring anyone to film themselves, meaning this is all voluntary! At least the Ice Bucket Challenge smote people with an ultimatum for a good cause (even though I'm pretty sure dumping ice water on your head won't help the research & development teams move forward, and only serves the same effect as giving thoughts and prayers for a difficult yet solvable situation). The only challenge I see here with this Florida Gators ripoff is trying to keep a smile on your face while dancing along, thinking of how much you are humiliating yourself right now and posting it online for the whole world to see. And god forbid your video gets popular, because then you will never hear the end of it for as long as you live!

Maybe I've reached the point in my life when I can no longer comprehend memes, maybe memes have evolved so much that I'm left in the dust, or maybe the quality of memes has regressed over time that I cannot jump on the bandwagon like older memes. Either way, I don't get it, it's stupid, it's annoying, and I can't wait until this sorry excuse for a song & dance number dies along with that Great-Value Fox McCloud covered in Danganronpa blood.

This mashup was a collaborative effort from myself and Rigor Mortis (but Rigor did most of the audio work).

Do mind that this channel is NOT a stooge for Four Trips Ahead OR Painkiller, both of which you may not have heard of at all before. Four Trips Ahead is a prog-rock band that will forever remain in the hearts of both Rigor and I for reasons that would take ages to explain. And Painkiller, well it's a game that Rigor believes is "criminally underrated."

This movie resonates with me as I can relate to Ishida about not being able to face my classmates anymore, not because I used to bully a disabled classmate, but ironically because I was a disabled student.

I developed a rare neuromuscular condition in the 11th grade that gave me constant unfathomable pain every day. It became too debilitating to the point where standing became a gruesome task and attending school was even more so. Even on days when I could manage to trudge to class, I couldn't concentrate on the lessons at all, resulting in my marks plummeting rapidly.
Meanwhile, the rest of the grade fought through college-level classes (as this is the only curriculum my high school offers), and I could often hear them complaining about how stressed and sleep-deprived they are, panicking over tests and deadlines, and worrying about getting into their dream college.
They all underwent intense physical, mental, intellectual, and emotional challenges for two years to rightfully earn their diplomas and look forward to a bright future, while I only graduated because I did a few supplemental assignments. So compared to all that they've done, I just BSed my way out of high school and I can't be rightfully equal to them.
As of this video, my symptoms have mostly subsided, so anyone in the streets can't even tell that I almost had to depend on a wheelchair. But now every time I unexpectedly see or hear something similar to my school's name or the terms used in the curriculum, I get flashbacks to those last two years of high school; and if I ever see anyone in my grade who's not one of the few friends that stuck with me, I try to avoid them because I can't help but feel guilty for dodging all the work they had to slave through and yet end up graduating alongside them.

BUT THAT'S ENOUGH SAD BACKSTORY FOR NOW!!! Let's get back to the review!

The plot is VERY realistic, as it could happen anywhere with a school, a disabled student, and an insensitive student. I've seen so many Japanese news reports of a student committing suicide due to bullying, and NHK even made a documentary of these rates increasing nowadays, so I think that's what inspired this story. Add a disability into the fray, and you've got yourself a pretty serious and heartwrenching story that will please all the politically correct, human rights preaching audience members out there, even if they aren't anime fans!

About the art, well what can I say except that it's pretty detailed? I mean, look at Nishimiya's hair movements when she tries to speak! And look at the setting with the river, the buildings, and the sunset sky!

This scene, in particular, is pretty clever. The movie constantly pushes a romantic relationship between Ishida and Nishimiya, and this was supposed to be the climax where it becomes official. But as they built the tension up for this scene, they made it look as if Ishida takes on the "male protagonist who is unaware of his female counterpart's feelings toward him" cliché, when it's actually much more. Ishida says "The moon? Yeah, it's beautiful," as he mishears Nishimiya's confession that she likes him (Suki) for her saying "Moon" (Tsuki), but this is a reference to Natsume Souseki's novels where characters confess their love by saying "The moon is beautiful, isn't it?" So Ishida is portrayed to indirectly confess that he reciprocates Nishimiya's feelings, and he does in fact like her as well! Brilliant!

A couple of gripes I have about this movie is that it feels long with so many arcs, and for such a long plotline, there wasn't really any character development for those in the group of friends. Yeah, OK, they're minor characters, but at least we saw their origins and their involvement in the group. Mashiba Satoshi, though (the one with the reddish orange hair), he seemed like he came out of nowhere and was there for the sake of being there as a regular ol' anti-bully supporter. Even Ishida calls him out for being a kibitzer who's completely uninvolved in the scandal. The wiki says he acts out violently whenever he sees bullying due to his past of being bullied, so it's too bad this wasn't really focused on and events of random bullying were not included for him to act out, because he just seems like a flat character now.

Granted, this story is based on a manga, which from what I understand, has SO MUCH MORE content that was excluded from the movie. I had a feeling it was so when I noticed how long the movie was with so many story arcs, and I guess the producer and writers tried to fit as much story as they could, but given the allotted duration, some omitting had to have been inevitable. With that being said, I'd like this remarkable story to be fully realized for what it's worth, so I'm hoping that an anime series that covers everything in the manga will be in the works sometime soon.
