This is how I feel when I'm in nature.

I love to go treasure hunting at the beach at Tybee Island, Georgia. I found sea shell pieces that looked like angel wings & wanted to put them into a painting. The dove is an actual "dove" from the inside of a sand dollar. This is the first time I've ever tried something like this. I'd like to do more of this kind of art (incorporating nature into my paintings).
God bless you.
Inspired by seeing downed peach trees in Georgia, on the way home to Savannah after being evacuated for Hurricane Irma. By the next season, the peach trees were doing fine! Just like in life... storms come, go... the sun comes back out. Life is fruitful again. God bless you.
When I saw the First Lady in that yellow dress, walking through the gardens... she looked like she was in a painting. I made that happen.
Roadside American flag attached to driftwood, only way to/from Tybee Island, Georgia. This flag has a special story behind it, as it means a lot to locals and tourists, and was rescued from flood waters after the hurricane... the timing? It was September 11 when officers saw the flag in the floodwaters & knew they needed to save it.
Art for the book "50 oil paintings inspired by Savannah, GA" - these are flowers from a Butterfly Tree - a gorgeous slender tree with flowers that are shaped like butterflies and attract both butterflies and hummingbirds. I have one of these on my patio & was delighted to see hummingbirds. Bought a feeder, my next painting is of my fav little bird friend who visits the feeder under the butterfly tree.
President Trump signing Right to Try ~ when my dad was terminal, he was invited to participate in an experimental drug trial. Sadly, we lost him, but he was appreciative of the opportunity to help in the research for others, and... our family had the gift of HOPE. How can we measure what hope is worth? Release the cures! We need access to technology and innovation - thank you for Right to Try!

"Send your light and truth—those will guide me!" Psalm 43:3 CEB ~ Keep sharing your truth, shine a light for the world. God bless you. xoxo
Memorial Day - thinking of my dad (died from cancer as a young man after serving 2 tours Vietnam War), but this oil painting is from my Grandpa's era. United States World War 2 veteran holding a baby wrapped in an American flag. This is a shorter version of a longer video I posted a while ago. The man was inspired by my Grandpa, a decorated WW2 veteran. He doesn't look like him much, that wasn't the intention... but I think of Grandpa whenever I see this piece. I originally painted it after veterans were disrespected during the O Admin shutdown of memorial parks, when elderly vets were turned away.
