Braveworld

Alternate title: Donny O'Lawrence has issues.

I should've done this a year ago, but then again it probably wouldn't have been as good. In any event, this is the last Autopilot entry for a while as I prepare to shift gears in the relentless pursuit of RetroACTIVE Entertainment. And this should go without saying, but subscribe...and tell your friends. ©2018 NextG Entertainment

PRESENTED IN 60VISION (OBVIOUSLY)! Rare footage of an old and very bizarre promo from a two-or-three-decade-old Swedish VHS tape recovered using a PAL VCR and a packet of ramen. Well, that's what we thought it was, anyway.

I'm dead serious about the next part, though: I stumbled upon a random song which I correctly assumed was a theme used by WHV's Swedish arm for a pre-feature montage. I actually conceived and created this video BEFORE I found the real thing, which just further goes to show you how spot-on I apparently was right down to the end: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rf8LIYC5qBw

And as you might have guessed between this video and the last one (which also contained a montage I threw in despite the presence of this video and the somewhat differing content between the two), I'm also testing out 60fps export options as they are going to be extremely important for future uploads. If you're seeing this, they work on my end—but let me know how fluid your video playback is, too! ©2018 NextG Entertainment

PRESENTED IN 60VISION! While working on a few other Autopilot and retro TV clip videos recently, I decided to also go back and revisit one of my earliest uploads for the fictional home video distributor IVP. I guess the best way you can imagine this one is if D-VHS actually became enough of a thing to warrant it being used for standard prerecorded content, and if IVP found a late albeit fascinating interest in neon for their logo and graphics (which were actually fun to put together especially considering the 2007 video's graphics were done entirely in none other than Microsoft PowerPoint and some simple editing in Final Cut Express!) The "Best of IVP" promo, another reference to the first-ever IVP video, was a last-minute addition, but it worked out well.

The IVP graphics (both 24fps and 60fps) were created entirely in Adobe After Effects; the recreation of the IVP bumper jingle in Logic Pro; and most everything else in Adobe Premiere.

Compare this to the original IVP videos:

It twists! It squeezes!! It saves your life!!! Best enjoyed when you dig in to a bowl of one of five cereals of your choice. DISCLAIMER: Paid actors are not actual customers.

I actually first heard of this thing ten years ago, and the idea for this video originated from a stupid thing I did way back then where I took the original commercial’s audio and shifted the audio pitch back and forth on a slider in QuickTime Player 7, while recording the results in (I believe) Audio Hijack, to hilarious results. I rediscovered it a short time ago and decided to do something “proper” with it on the visual end. (Insert irony of this video being in HD when the original video is a postage stamp-size, ultra-compressed Flash Video file. TECHNOLOGY!!!) ©2018 NextG Entertainment

Part of NextG's AUTOPILOT SERIES

Starring Spenso Twacy, and not that guy from L.A. STORY.

This insanely random concept came to me while watching this movie recently (specifically the idea for the “cheating the phone company” line during the calling scene). Thankfully, being a surprisingly public domain movie, this was rather easy to find, and it just spiraled from there. Also, IT STINKS. ?

And now, some interstitial programming on NextG Network! You didn’t think we forgot our roots, did you? Retrieved at last from the deepest, darkest part of a Moratorium Vault somewhere in Florida is what is believed to be the opening to the ultimate “crossover” movie, or at least it was supposed to be that...it ended up being a mess.

It shouldn’t have to be said, but this is NOT a NextG Poop. It doesn’t even look like one.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the world’s first hour-long YouTube Poop (to our knowledge, anyway), and in order to ensure that this moment in YTP history remains fully available for all to enjoy—we’re looking at you, Part 3—we are excited to bring you the complete and mostly unadulterated EVERYBODY NOW! in one single part, free of the kind of lengthy tag walls in the video descriptions that in all likelihood caused the aforementioned third chapter to be taken down in the first place. Was this even-more-stream-of-consciousness-than-usual experiment, an experiment not only in length but also in collaboration with a number of incredible fellow poopers, a good idea at the time? Definitely. Does it still hold up today? …Well, that’s debatable. But there’s no doubt that this was still a real turning point for NextG Poop, and probably YTP in general. And that’s why its continued availability to the masses is so important. Please enjoy it, or enjoy it again.

Also, we're excited to make this the first-ever NextG video presented in 60fps, also known as 60VISION™! Now you can see our videos in unnecessarily super-fluid digital video motion—that is, the way we've always edited them since 2007—for the first time ever! (Please note: this video is not actually HD.)

WARNING: THIS PROGRAM CONTAINS EXCESSIVELY LOUD PORTIONS. PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS, ESPECIALLY WHEN USING HEADPHONES.
