Deleting themes on WordPress is part of a regular clean-up routine when working on websites. Having unused themes can be a problem for maintenance and security purposes.
A WordPress website may end up with a few themes more than it needs for many reasons. In reality, anyone WordPress website only needs one theme, sometimes two if you count a child theme.
How do unused themes end up on a WordPress website? Sometimes they are left behind after testing them out, sometimes they're left behind after they've been replaced with a newer more modern theme. Some other times, those easy click installations from shared hosts will just install a ton of themes when you first install WordPress.
It's kind of a chore to delete these extra themes, so in this short video, I show you how to delete all your unused and extra themes at once.
