In many news outlets, the professional fear mongers, it has been overplayed just what the ongoing 'crisis' has done. Yet, when you look at any chart with the death to population, India is nowhere near any other country. Just this much of an increase over the normal level has caused the whole system to completely expose itself to the world and with all the wrong reasons listed in media outlets. The socialist government and deep rooted corruption associated with India never went away, it is still there and perhaps larger than over and much more 'systematised'. Due to all the central planning and government not allowing citizens to fix their problems in the market while hoarding all the resources and arresting all those that are providing it, it has made the problem that would have otherwise been pretty minute, a failure of gargantuan proportions.

In all of this, the government's focus is still on arresting those that call it out and raking in votes than looking inside and fix the problems withing. This international begging for resources and them getting it is like giving candy to a petulant child, they will never, ever, because of their enormous wall of ego they surround themselves to hide their own insecurity, fix themselves because of this. The only thing keeping this going is geopolitical interests and consent of the misguided.

Of recent, this has changed and the bulk of the support for the idea comes from right wing circles while the left believes in a mutilated form of it yet still insists to call it by the same name, much like they hijack everything else.

There is no reason to believe that this will be the only Trillion+ dollar spending in the next four years of his presidency next. The bill sets out a promise with a timeline to reduce deficits, that is impossible with present conditions. The attempt is to give the biggest kick to the can down the road, little does Biden know he'll miss and stumble even without the stairs.

People seem to be surprised about China's exports rising by 60% during 2020 but that should not come as a surprise to anyone. No amount of tariffs or regulations is going to solve this situation. The solution is far more fundamental than that. Government cannot solve a problem government created with more government.
