When the guy states the level, but it looks different to the actual readout, it's because there is a "peak" in the top left of the meter screen which gives the peak (average) readout. He is going on that information.
Some of levels seemed quite high but acceptable compared to some of the readings I have seen in certain areas in the UK and America. But then they seemed to spike very high at times.
