Enjoying and remembering how beautiful nature is. Often stuck inside buildings and houses for at least 2/3rd's of our days, we never get the time to be outside in our true environment, where we came from, an express our true nature as animals that live on earth, and it can lead to depression (Especially for men) if we are detached from our natural environment for to long.
Most people have experienced the peace they receive from walking in forests, on the beach, hiking a hill or a mountain, rafting a river, etc. The common theme is that we are outside in our true environment as human animals. Millions of years of evolution occurred outside, in the elements, and it is only until this very recent time that modern society forces people to live and work inside for long periods of time, and talking to people for much longer duration's of time, this is all unnatural to us as human animals. We are trying to undo millions of years of evolution in just a few centuries, and it is not possible as evolution is a much slower process than this. As said previously, this undoing of millions of years of evolution in just a few centuries can lead to depression and other mental health problems, because the standard of living and the technology we have and use today, although it is a privilege to have, is forced upon us (At least it feels this way, especially for the younger generations who were born into the technology.). It is like taking of wolf away from it's natural environment and trying to domesticate it. Leaving the wolf in the house all day - not being able to roam free in the forests where it's biology tells it that it should be - will naturally make the wolf stir crazy and it will begin to display behavior that could be described as mentally ill.
