No matter what bitterness has befallen you, no matter what unpleasantness has happened to you, say, "I shall endure this for Jesus Christ!" and it will be easier for you. For the name of Jesus Christ is powerful. Through it all unpleasantness is calmed, and demons disappear. Your disappointments will also be calmed and you fears will be quieted.

“Worldly stress is the result of worldly happiness, of worldly pleasures and self-indulgence. Educated externally and being full of anxiety, hundreds of people (even young children)
are driven to psychoanalysis and psychiatrists.
New psychiatric hospitals are being built and young psychiatrists go on for
post-graduate studies.
Many of them do not even believe in God or accept the existence of the soul.
How can these people help the human soul when they themselves are full of anxiety?
How can one feel truly comforted if he does not believe in God and in the true and
eternal life after death?
When man grasps the deeper meaning of this true life, stress goes away, divine consolation
comes and he is healed.
The answer to our anxiety is not drugs, alcohol, tranquilizers or psychiatric treatment.
It will not be cured by Yoga or some new age or eastern meditation practice.
The problem is that we have lost God as the center of our lives. Once we make our love of God the primary focus of our lives and allow His grace to work though us, then no matter what circumstance we encounter in life we will be comforted and embraced in His love.
All anxiety disappears.🥊
This is the aim of the Orthodox way of life.
To put God first and seek the Holy Spirit.
The anxieties of modern life are only symptoms of our separation from God.”

“Every man of himself is so insignificant and helpless that he receives everything necessary to support his existence, not from himself, but from without; he himself is nothing. And as his body is supported by air, food, and drink, so his soul is supported by prayer, by reading God’s Word, and by the communion of the Holy Mysteries.”

Every man on earth is sick with the fever of sin, with the blindness of sin and is overcome with its fury. As sins consist mostly of malice and pride, it is necessary to treat everyone who suffers from the malady of sin with kindness and love. This is an important truth, which we often forget. Very often we act in the opposite manner: we add malice to malice by our anger, we oppose pride with pride. Thus, evil grows within us and does not decrease; it is not cured - rather it spreads.

+ Saint John the Wonderworker of Kronstadt ☦️

“Be careful with your mouth, but primarily with your mind; do not let evil thoughts start talking to you. Do not let your mouth say words that could perhaps wound your brother. Let your mouth put forth words which are fragrant: words of consolation, courage and hope. It is a person's mouth that reveals his interior, inner man. “

Adam... where art thou?

This is the voice of God that resounded in Adam's conscience after the Fall and tormented him. After tasting of the forbidden fruits of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, the thread of communion with God was broken in Adam's heart. Sin stood as a wall between God and man. From this very time began a new history of man's life on earth.

Centuries went by as people impatiently awaited the promised Messiah, longing to be freed from sin. And finally the fulfillment of times is accomplished. The Saviour of the world from sin comes to earth. He fulfils the commandment given to man, of love for God and neighbour. But above all, He restores that Tree of Life which was in Paradise, which helped Adam to be in communion with God. Here are the words with which the Lord Himself announced this New Testamental communion with God: He that eateth My flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in Me, and I in him (Jn. 6:56).

"Adam... where art thou?"

So even now this eternal question resounds in our conscience. Not in a geographical sense, for God knows where each of us is; but in relation to Him—to God. O, let us not leave this question unanswered! Let us be able to say: I am here, Lord, at Thy manger, in Thy Church, before Thy Chalice—"I believe, O Lord, and I confess that Thou art truly the Christ, the Son of the Living God, Who came into the world to save sinners....”

GOD MADE EVERYTHING WITH SIMPLICITY
WISDOM AND BEAUTY ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

Christ came to earth to restore the fallen image and return it to union with Him Whose image it is. Uniting man unto Himself, God thus restores him to his original goodness in all its fullness.

Granting grace and sanctification to the spirit, Christ also purifies, strengthens, heals, and sanctifies the soul and the body.

But he that is joined unto the Lord is one Spirit [with Him] (I Cor. 6:17). The body, then, of the man who has been united unto the Lord, must be an instrument of the Lord, must serve for the fulfillment of His will, and become a part of the Body of Christ. For a man's complete sanctification, the body of the servant of the Lord must be united with the Body of Christ, and this is accomplished in the Mystery of Holy Communion. The true Body and the true Blood of Christ which we receive become part of the great Body of Christ.

Of course, for union with Christ, the mere conjoining of our body with the Body of Christ does not suffice. The consumption of the Body of Christ becomes beneficial when in spirit we strive toward Him and unite ourselves with Him. Receiving the Body of Christ, while turning away from Him in spirit, is like the contact with Christ which they had who struck Him and mocked and crucified Him. Their contact with Him served not for their salvation and healing, but for their condemnation.

But those who partake with piety, love and readiness to serve Him, closely unite themselves with Him and become instruments of His Divine will.

Do not hate the sinner; for we are all laden with guilt. If for the sake of God you are moved to oppose him, weep over him. Why do you hate him? Hate his sins and pray for him, that you may imitate Christ Who was not wroth with sinners, but interceded for them. Do you not see how He wept over Jerusalem? We are mocked by the devil in many instances, so why should we hate the man who is mocked by him who mocks us also? Why, O man, do you hate the sinner? Could it be because he is not so righteous as you? But where is your righteousness when you have no love? Why do you not shed tears over him? But you persecute him. In ignorance some, who are considered to be discerning men, are moved to anger against the deeds of sinners.

💒
Metropolitan Athanasios of Limassol on Christ’s Nativity and Mans Judgement of Himself.

"A Christian is he who imitates the life of Christ according to the strength of his human abilities, and covers what he cannot fulfil with repentance and humility—the virtues of spiritual work.

Whenever the holy fathers were perplexed or tempted, they set themselves before the life of Jesus Christ, condemning themselves. When Elder Ephraim of Katounakia returned from Jerusalem, we were waiting for him to tell us his impression of Golgotha, of the place of the Crucifixion. How surprised we were when he told us that he was very moved by the cave in Bethlehem. When he beheld this meek, humble cave, which so touched him, he said to himself: “Before visiting the Bethlehem cave, living on Mt. Athos in the rocky, inaccessible Katounakia desert, in a modest cell that could barely fit even the most necessary things, I had the thought that I was something. Now, having seen the place where God Himself, Jesus Christ was born, I feel all of my nothingness, for I see how God humbled Himself, being born in such a small cave—a pen for animals, where barely any place could be found for Him.”

Christ, born in a den, persecuted and despised by all, thereby accomplished the greatest event in the history of mankind; His Incarnation took place in absolute silence, in humility and obscurity, and of all mankind, but a few Persian magi and simple shepherds were informed of the coming of God Himself into the world. Oh the extreme poverty and humility!

If we truly want a correct view of ourselves and a true judgement of our conscience, then every time that life starts to torment us with worldly desires and demands, we must place ourselves before this humble Bethlehem cave, before the event of the Incarnation, and reflect upon what we are doing and whether our life and our deeds correspond to the life of Christ and what He did for us, becoming incarnate. We can thus judge our entire life.

Wheresoever we do not have the strength to imitate Him, let us cover with repentance and humility."♥️

Our times, above all, call for humble and quiet labors, with love and sympathy for other strugglers on the path of the Orthodox spiritual life and a deep resolve that does not become discouraged because the atmosphere is unfavorable. We Christians of the latter times are still called to work persistently on ourselves, to be obedient to spiritual fathers and authorities, to lead an orderly life with at least a minimum of spiritual discipline and with regular reading of the Orthodox spiritual literature which Blessed Paisius was chiefly responsible for handing down to our times, to watch over our own sins and failings and not judge others. If we do this, even in our terrible times, we may have hope—in God’s mercy,
of the salvation of our souls.

IT ONLY TAKES ONE, LORD HAVE MERCY!

A question was asked to St. Paisios: Geronda I don’t think I can be saved. Why replied the Geronda? Geronda I live in the world and it is hard for me. The Geronda looked at him and said, don’t ever say that again, for God knows everything. You people think that we living in monastery’s are all going to be saved?

Listen to me, you people are living a far more harder life than us, you people have to look after family, you have to work, sometimes in extreme situations and conditions, you have to put up with a lot of people and pressures in life, you have children to raise, and put up with many people who are against your beliefs. We have our pressure but not like you have, the devil not only attacks us, but you as well. We could be saying, a thousand, lord have mercy, and nothing.

You could say one lord have mercy, from the depths of your heart, and you will be saved.☦️

Shades of sleep have driven you away.
The moon is pale outside 🌜
And you are far from here.
Breathing shifts your careless head
Untroubled by the chaos of our lives.
Another day, another night
Has taken you again my dear.
And you know that I'm gonna be the one
Who'll be there
When you need someone to depend upon
When tomorrow comes 🙏🏽
When tomorrow comes 🙏🏽
Wait till tomorrow comes, 🙏🏽yea yea
Wait till tomorrow comes, 🙏🏽yea yea
Last night while you were
Lying in my arms
And I was wondering where you were
You know you looked just like a baby
Fast asleep in this dangerous world.
Every star was shining brightly 🌟
Just like a million years before.
And we were feeling very small
Underneath the universe.🌎
And you know that I'm gonna be the one
Who'll be there when you need
Someone to depend upon

I am convinced that between a saint and those who pray to him a close connection is formed, and often many of the saint’s qualities, if you have a close spiritual connection with him, appear in you also.

Pray to the saint whose name you bear, and they will help you. Turn to them in times of sorrow and sickness; in difficult circumstances and in moments of joy: 'St. ____, my protector, pray to God for me, a sinner!'

Pray to them and they will hear your prayer! They are your advocate before God, the advocate of all those who bear their name. They bring our prayer before God and intercedes for us.

At the end of life, when we depart for the other world, our patron saint will be standing next to us. If we venerated them and prayed to them, they will stand next to our guardian angel to protect us from satan’s accusations.

This is because at the personal judgement the devil pulls out all our sins, even those we don’t remember, exhibits them for everyone to see, and throws them on the scales. And we must have an advocate to defend us, who will make all our good deeds known.

Therefore I ask you to remember the saints whose names you bear, and pray that they would protect you, protect your families, your nation, and all people."

Towards the eternity we step, my brethren. Another year has passed.
We welcome a new year.
What will it bring us? We do not know.

We do not know if we will live tomorrow. Unceasingly one has to wait his departure, especially us elders, but also the young. We do not know “What the present moment will offer". I wonder next year, in a day like this, how many of us will still be here living? And what events await our people in this New Year? What will it bring in the Balkans, the Mediterranean and the world? … Are you imagining dreams and envision an endless life? But eternity is approaching my dear; the biggest moment is waiting to rise.

What should I wish you, my dear? Wealth, glory, honors, delights, pleasures? … How meaningless is everything. “Vanity of vanities, all is vanity“. Only one thing remains: your belief in Christ. There is no other name that can give us joy and hope during this coming year, Whom us children praise and exalt into the ages of ages. Amen!

Adam... where art thou?

But above all, He restores that Tree of Life which was in Paradise, which helped Adam to be
in communion with God. ☦️

On the Means of Preserving Inner Peace ⭐️

(1) First of all keep your outer senses in order and flee all licentiousness in your external conduct, – namely, neither look, speak, gesticulate, walk nor do anything else with agitation, but always quietly and decorously. Accustomed to behave with decorous quietness in your external movements and actions, you will easily and without labour acquire peace within yourself, in the heart; for, according to the testimony of the fathers, the inner man takes his tone from the outer man.

(2) Be disposed to love all men and to live in accord with everyone, as St. Paul instructs: ‘If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

(3) Keep your conscience unstained, so that it does not gnaw at you or reproach you in anything, but is at peace in relation to God, to yourself, to your neighbours, and to all external things. If your conscience is thus kept clean, it will produce, deepen and strengthen inner peace, as David says: ‘Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them’.

(4) Accustom yourself to bear all unpleasantness and insults without perturbation. It is true that before you acquire this habit you will have to grieve and suffer much in your heart through lack of experience in controlling yourself in such cases. But once this habit is acquired, your soul will find great comfort in the very troubles you meet with. If you are resolute, you will day by day learn to manage yourself better and better and will soon reach a state when you will know how to preserve the peace of your spirit in all storms, both inner and outer.

If at times you are unable to manage your heart and restore peace in it by driving away all stress and griefs, have recourse to prayer and be persistent, imitating our Lord and Saviour, Who prayed three times in the garden of Gethsemane, to show you by His example that prayer should be your refuge in every stress and affliction of the heart and that, no matter how faint-hearted and grieved you may be, you should not abandon it until you reach a state when your will is in complete accord with the will of God and, calmed by this, your heart is filled with courageous daring and is joyfully ready to meet, accept and bear the very thing it feared and wished to avoid; just as our Lord felt fear, sorrow and grief, but, regaining peace through prayer, said calmly: ‘Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.

LYRICS 📀 LIVES IN THE BALANCE 💉 1986
I've been waiting for something to happen
For a week or a month or a year
With the blood in the ink of the headlines
And the sound of the crowd in my ear
You might ask what it takes to remember
When you know that you've seen it before
Where a government lies to a people
And a country is drifting to war
And there's a shadow on the faces
Of the men who send the guns
To the wars that are fought in places
Where their business interest runs
On the radio talk shows and the T.V.
You hear one thing again and again
How the U.S.A. stands for freedom
And we come to the aid of a friend
But who are the ones that we call our friends--
These governments killing their own?
Or the people who finally can't take any more
And they pick up a gun or a brick or a stone

There are lives in the balance
There are people under fire
There are children at the cannons
And there is blood on the wire

There's a shadow on the faces
Of the men who fan the flames
Of the wars that are fought in places
Where we can't even say the names
They sell us the President the same way
They sell us our clothes and our cars
They sell us every thing from youth to religion
The same time they sell us our wars
I want to know who the men in the shadows are
I want to hear somebody asking them why
They can be counted on to tell us who our enemies are
But they're never the ones to fight or to die

And there are lives in the balance
There are people under fire
There are children at the cannons
And there is blood on the wire

If we do this, even in our terrible times, we may have hope,
in God’s mercy,
of the salvation of our souls. 💒

Prayer needs no teacher.
It requires diligence, effort and personal ardor,
and then God will be its teacher."
- St. Meletius the Confessor 🙏🏽📖🙏🏽

Sometimes we make it harder than it is
We'll take a perfect night
And fill it up with words we don't mean
Dark sides best unseen
And we wonder why we're feeling this way
Sometimes I wonder if we really feel the same
Why we can be unkind
Questioning the strongest of hearts
That's when we must start
Believing in the one thing that has gotten us this far
That's what love is for
To help us through it
That's what love is for
Nothing else can do it
Melt our defenses
Bring us back to our senses
Give us strength to try once more
Baby, that's what love is for
Sometimes I see you and you don't know I am there
And I'm washed away by emotions
I hold deep down inside
Getting stronger with time
It's living through the fire and holding on we find
That's what love is for
To help us through it
That's what love is for
Nothing else can do it
Melt our defenses
Bring us back to our senses
Give us strength to try once more
Baby, that's what love is for
Believing in the one thing
That has gotten us this far
That's what love is for
To help us through it
That's what love is for
Nothing else can do it
Round off the edges
Talk us down from the ledges
Give us strength to try once more
Baby, that's what love is for
That's what love is for
That's what love is for
That's what love is for
Melt our defenses
Bring us back to our senses
Give us strength to try once more
Baby, that's what love is for
That's what love is for
That's what love is for
That's what love is for
Nothing else can do it
Try to sense through it

The burning of an oil lamp depends entirely on the person who cares for the lamp. In the same way, our health or illnesses are directed by the will or permission of God exclusively. Therefore, whoever truly commits himself to the will of God will cheerfully submit to its precepts.

He'll be coming back to you

You've been up all night
Thinking it was over
He's been out of sight
At least for the moment
But when something is strong
Gets a hold on you
The odds are ninety-nine to one
It's got a hold on him too
Well, I'll bet you any amount of money💰
He'll be coming back to you
I know there ain't no doubt about it
Sometimes life is funny
You think you're in your darkest hour💡
When the lights are coming on in the house of love
When the lights are coming on in the house of love
Now when the house is dark
And you're all alone inside
You've gotta listen to your heart ♥️
And put away your foolish pride 👈🏽
Though the storm is breaking
And thunder shakes the walls
Love with a firm foundation
Ain't never, never, never gonna fall

LYRICS 📀 1983 📀📀📀

Last night I had the strangest dream
I sailed away to China
In a little row boat to find ya
And you said you had to get your laundry cleaned
Didn't want no one to hold you
What does that mean?
And you said
Ain't nothin' gonna to break my stride
Nobody gonna slow me down, oh no
I got to keep on movin'
Ain't nothin' gonna break my stride
I'm running and I won't touch ground
Oh no, I got to keep on movin'
You're on the road and now you pray it lasts
The road behind was rocky
But now you're feeling cocky
You look at me and you see your past
Is that the reason why you're runnin' so fast?
And she said
Ain't nothin' gonna break my stride
Nobody gonna slow me down, oh no
I got to keep on moving
Ain't nothin' gonna break my stride
I'm running and I won't touch ground
Oh no, I got to keep on moving
Work me over
(Never let another girl like you) Drag me under
(If I meet another girl like you) I will tell her
(Never want another girl like you) Have to say, oh
Ain't nothin' gonna break my stride
Nobody gonna slow me down
Oh no, oh no, I got to keep on moving
Ain't nothin' gonna break my stride
I'm running and I won't touch ground
Oh no, I got to keep on movin'
Ain't nothin' gonna break my stride

“God’s actions are not like those of us men.
With all patience, He gradually works out the salvation of all those who want to be saved.

Only he who has seen and known the knowledge and grace of God knows how far the thoughts of men are from the way God judges the world.

If He Who loves man only receives into His hands man’s repentance, He knows how to arrange everything else most wisely for salvation.”

Before retiring for the night, say your prayers again and do your prostrations.

Always keep Him in mind. Say the Jesus Prayer and expel evil thoughts.
When someone carries out these directions, he fills the page of each day with earnings.
If, however, you never go to consult with a spiritual father, and he does not put things in order for you, then as the spool of life is slowly reeled in, you will reach the end of your rope, and you will not have many things in your possession.
This is why a person’s life is enriched when he is obedient to a spiritual father.
At some point in the future, such a person will appear before God full of virtues, as a tree whose branches are heavy and abounding with plentiful fruit.

The Logos came down out of love for us.
Let us not keep Him down permanently, but let us go up with Him to the Father, leaving the earth and earthly thing behind, lest He say to us what He said to the Jews because of their stubbornness:

And he builds himself in this temple, who renounces the earth and constantly march towards heaven. And I advise you to guard this temple so that it smells fragrant from all your deeds and words, so that God always abides in it, so that it is always perfect, and moreover essentially, and not outwardly.

You cannot cure the soul of others or 'help people', without having changed yourself.
You cannot put in order the spiritual economy of others, so long as there is chaos in your own soul. You can not bring peace to others if you do not have it yourself.
Often, we help other people, not by a series of conscious acts, directed upon their soul, but rather by influencing them through our spiritual gifts, without ourselves seeing or knowing how we do so.
Once Anthony the Great asked a visitor, who said nothing at all, 'Why do you not ask me anything?' and the other answered, 'It is enough for me to look at you, holy father'.

Before coming to the discernment of good and evil, a man is not fit to shepherd rational sheep, but only irrational ones; because without the understanding of good and evil, we cannot comprehend the workings of the evil one.

on the ineffable power of the Jesus Prayer 🙏🏽

“The name of our Lord Jesus Christ... not only drives away the dragon from its lair and casts it into the fire, but it even heals from the wounds inflicted by him.
If many uttered this invocation and were not healed, this occurred because of their lack of faith — not from the prayer’s lack of power... The name of Jesus Christ is frightening for the demons, for the passions of the soul and for infirmities. Let us protect ourselves with it; let us adorn ourselves with it. The Apostle Paul became great because of it, though he was of one nature with us.”

If we do this, even in our terrible times, we may have hope,
in God’s mercy,
of the salvation of our souls. 💒

Prayer needs no teacher.
It requires diligence, effort and personal ardor,
and then God will be its teacher."
- St. Meletius the Confessor 🙏🏽📖🙏🏽

+ Saint Paisios of Mt Athos ☦️🙏🏽💒☦️

+ Elder Ephraim of Arizona ☦️

A Christian without a cross and a struggle is not meant. A Christian who follows an
easy path is not meant.
Some have thought and still think that it is Christian to keep some moral precepts and to have a human well-being and to have a humanly secure life. But he is not this Christian. A Christian is one who struggles to love God.
He fights to love his brother.

Standing on this intersection
Yelling for my change
Watching personalities
Collapse and re-arrange
Gotta smile about it
Gotta surf it out or drown
In the twentieth century
Some guy selling liberty
You've heard it all before
Let's take some pet minority
To fame in eighty-four
Lots of fortunes and
Reputations to be found
In the twentieth century
Yankees lookin' east and west
Before they cross the road
It's Hollywood democracy 👈🏽
It really doesn't bother me
It's entertainment, baby
It explodes
Let the K.G.B. devise
Just what comes after civilised 👈🏽
This intersection's big enough for me
And when I get some change
I'll disappear
It's tricky
But, thank God, it's never organised 👈🏽
I'm talking about the twentieth century
The twentieth century
The twentieth century

A reflection offered by a monk ☦️⛪️

St. Demetrios was ordered to persecute Christians but did not listen to the Emperor. Every day we are enticed to lesser temptations that test our resolve. So often do we hear: sleep a little longer, eat and drink a little bit more, go to the service late, follow this or that thought wherever it leads, excuse yourself from your prayer rule due to tiredness, do not sacrifice yourself for others – do we obey? If we are not conscientious of the little ways in which we need to put to death the desires of the flesh and give life to the Spirit, how will we overcome when the greater trials come, when we are asked to give blood to attain the spirit?

However many and however great and burdensome your sins may be, with God there is greater mercy. Just as His majesty is,
so likewise is His mercy.

I know that I'm out of place
But I know you're just wasting time
Your life is your own to waste
But I won't have you wasting mine
Change will come ⏰

Change will come ⏰
Do you hear me
Everybody's sayin' change will come
Change will come ⏰
What good is the quick escape
When the problem is here inside
Life can be a better place
If you'll only believe in time
Change will come ⏰
Through you and me

Do you hear me

REFLECTION 🤔

No one should ever despair, for God
is a loving Father who cares for His children.

In reading the Holy Scriptures and the Lives of the Saints, we are struck at once by the depth of love demonstrated for God by countless
holy men and women.
For this love Isaiah the prophet suffered martyrdom by being sawn in two;
St. Anthony gave up all his material wealth and took to the desert in prayer.
St. John Maximovitch adopted orphans, visited the sick in their hospital beds and daily
served the Holy Liturgy 💒
Fr Roman Braga and many like him endured fierce torture and isolation in communist prison camps.
St. Nicholas left everything in order to bring the good news of Christ's life, death and resurrection to the unbeknown people of Japan.
St. Nectarios suffered to be despised, falsely accused and exiled; whilst St. Elizabeth together with the Royal Holy Martyrs of Russia fed the poor, cared for the sick and accepted martyrdom on behalf of a nation who abandoned its trust in God. Such array of love, such zeal for the Creator! 🙏🏽Nothing could separate them from the love of God.

And yet, ‘God’s love for the biggest sinner
is much greater’.

These tender words should fill our souls with humility and consolation, and above all,
protect it from despair.

No matter what we have done in the past, despite our sense of unworthiness and sinfulness,
God is our loving Father.
If we still doubt then let us hear the Psalmist David who after committing serious transgressions was able to say from his heart:
‘He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor punish us according to our iniquities…
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.♥️
As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear him
The steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting on those who fear him…to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments’ (Psalm 103).
If we pay careful attention, revealed in these words is the key to acquiring the understanding of the wonderous, dependable and pure love of God.

“He who has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me; and he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him” (John 14:21).

To the one who labour’s spiritually to keep the commandments of God - despite the assaults of the world, the flesh and the devil - to this soul God has promised to unite Himself. This is our dependable pathway, and many are the sinners who walked it and departed this world are Saints.

It often happens that the struggler cannot win over his former-self despite hating and detesting his passions. According to the tradition of our Church, this state is regarded as ‘repentance’. It stops being ‘repentance’ as soon as the person gives up struggling and says: ‘I cannot go on anymore. There is nothing for me’. This is regarded as ‘despair’. The Church condemns it as ‘blasphemy’ against the Holy Spirit and severs and rejects this member as rotten and blasphemous, because it turns against the Lord’s kindness. Under no circumstances must we let our faith diminish. Let no one ever think that it is impossible for him to reach comprehensive repentance which is the state that our Jesus has called him to follow. We will accomplish this with the grace of Jesus. It is not possible to attain to it through human exertion and effort alone. This is selfish and the holy Fathers have condemned it…If we remain faithful and do not go back in our intention, we will certainly succeed. This is the truth. Our Fathers accept no other way. Any other way of thinking is regarded as ‘despair’. There is no such thing as ‘I cannot go on anymore’. Why can’t you go on?
We derive strength through God.
‘I can do all things through him who strengthens me’.
