This video follows a fun day out in a rainy and windy North Wales with our dear friends the Baird family who are visiting the UK from their homestead in beautiful Nova Scotia, Canada. Lance and Emma Baird originate from North Wales and both have extended families here.

We visit Caernarfon Castle and Llanfairfechan, then on to Llandudno where we took a cream tea at the lovely St Tudno Hotel. We ended our day with a slap up home cooked meal, which we cooked ourselves at the Canolfan Dewi Sant in Pensarn. The meal had a distinct Trini accent with Trinibagonian pork pelau as the centrepiece.

Come and join us as we enjoy the sights, sounds and flavours of both North Wales and Trinidad!

Big up to the lovely Taste of Trini for her love and support, and for the inspiration.

In this video I demonstrate how to make an all natural lip balm that will nourish and moisurise your lips.

All Natural Lip Balm recipe:

Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons of Coconut oil
1 Tablespoon of Sweet Almond Oil
1.5 Tablespoons of Beeswax
1 Tablespoon of Honey or Maple Syrup
1 Tablespoon of Shea Butter
1 Tablespoon of Cocoa Butter
5 Drops of Vitamin E Oil

Heat all ingredients in a double boiler to melt and mix thoroughly.
Decant into lip salve containers or small pots.

You may find there is some seepage of the honey or maple syrup, so allow it to stand for an hour or so, and then just wash the seepage off.

Makes 10-12 x 15ml

Ingredients: Coconut oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Beeswax, Maple Syrup, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and Pure Vitamin E Oil.

Adam from Adam's Eats challenged me to eat 100 chicken nuggets as part of the #CheckYourNuggets Challenge to help raise money and awareness for male cancer research.

This challenge originates with this video: https://youtu.be/NDcgkHJGmqU

I've copied the info below from Adam's channel:

======================================================

#CheckYourNuggets #ProstateCancer #CancerResearch

Pete's Fund - https://www.gofundme.com/petesfunfund
Orchid Charity - https://orchid-cancer.org.uk/help-us-fight-cancer/

The #CheckYourNuggets Challenge is a simple but fun way to bring awareness to the penile cancer charity 'Orchid' A charity that funds research into all types of male cancers and gives support to sufferers.

Orchid provides a valuable service and they appreciate all the support you can give.

For creators & those that want to get involved.

The rules are simple. I don't want to make this overly complicated as it's meant to be fun, and to raise money for Pete and for Orchid, so I've listed the basics below.

► Film or live stream yourself attempting to eat 100 chicken nuggets (any sort)
► Each nugget you eat is worth 10p, which is the amount you need to donate to Orchid (50 = £5.00, 78 = £7.80 etc). Or however much you can afford, it all helps
► Use the hashtag #CheckYourNuggets in the description and title of your video
► Link to to the Orchid donations page here - https://orchid-cancer.org.uk/help-us-...
► Link to Pete's gofundme page to help Pete's fund (this is optional as I completely understand if someone would rather donate to a charity than to an individual they don't know)
► Nominate 3 other youtubers (or friends/family) to take on this challenge, and send them the link to Pete's 'go fund me' page for all the details so they know what it's all about.
► Any tweets, facebook posts and any other social media, use the hashtag #CheckYourNuggets to help prom..

In this video I demonstrate how to make sweet zuccini/courgette pickles.

Zuccini Pickles Recipe

Thyme and garlic work really well with zuccini. The addition of dill adds its subtle flavour and a delicate fragrance to this delicious pickle.

In this example I have also added turmeric for its yellow colour and subtle flavour.

Method:

Wash and crinkle cut zuccini in thick, say 10mm or 1/3" slices.

For each jar add:

Half a medium chopped onion.
Two or more cloves of garlic.

Cram each jar full and add water to the top. Then pour it out and measure the water to give the total volume of pickling brine.

Pour off half the water and make up the volume with vinegar.
Add all the above ingredients to a preserving pan.
Bring to the boil and simmer for 3 minutes.

Meanwhile into each empty jar add:

A tablespoon of sugar.
A half teaspoon of salt.
A teaspoon of whole coriander seeds.
A teaspoon of whole black peppercorns.
A pinch of dried thyme or a sprig of fresh thyme.
A generous pinch of dried dill or a sprig of fresh dill.
A whole fresh or dried red chilli pepper (optional).
A pinch of ajwain seeds (optional).
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder (optional).

Allow the preserving pan contents to cool to bottling temperature (80C/176F) before bottling and labelling.

Rotate the bottles for the first couple of days to distribute the sugar, salt and spices.

These pickles can be enjoyed after just one week, but they will keep for at least a year, and the taste really improves after a month.

These are great in sandwiches and burgers too. They are really good with ham, or with cold roast pork or chicken. They are also excellent with fried fish and seafood.

Serve chilled.

Make plenty because they will be very popular!

This episode finds me with the Taste of Trini family heading to Maracas Beach and that lovely stretch of coastline, through some of Trinidad's most spectacular scenery.

At Maracas Beach I get to try one of Trinidad & Tobago's signature dishes, Bake & Shark, with all the sauces and trimmings. The best street food I have ever tasted!

Unforgettable!
