Author Philip Wyeth creates a unique blend of Agatha Christie meets Philip K. Dick in his seventh novel, "The Incomplete Artist."

In the hi-tech world of 2045, the anachronistic art colony known as Movement-24 proclaims that human creativity still has a crucial role to play. But when a dead body is discovered during an open house at their gallery, auction attendee Detective Ashley Westgard must set down her wine glass and begin pursuit of an elusive killer.

Author Philip Wyeth discusses his seventh novel, "The Incomplete Artist." It's book two of the "Ashley Westgard" series of detective novels set in the year 2045. In a hi-tech would-be Utopia, Ash experiences firsthand while chasing after killers that all is not well on the road to paradise.

Series debut "Hot Ash and the Oasis Defect" was an intense and hard-boiled affair, but here we enter the ritzy world of fine art auctions. The narrative style mirrors that of the British cozies, and offers a unique blend of police procedural, fairy tale, science fiction, and character study.

The 4-book "Reparations" series looks ahead 10 years to a possible America where everyday people are caught the crossfire between idealism and technology. The sprawling, ambitious tale is kept grounded by very real characters from all walks of life, as well as clever science fiction flavors and refreshing moments of levity.

In this excerpt from series finale "Reparations Maze," President Eileen Jeffries-Lao reflects on how she dealt with the public release of the government's files on Martin Luther King Jr, which had been sealed for fifty years.

Author Philip Wyeth discusses his concerns about how America seems fated for a civil war--as well as the existential reasons why peaceful separation could benefit all parties.

Interestingly, this monologue was recorded on the morning of October 10th. Just hours later, a man was shot dead in Denver during a political rally.

How will Democrats feel if they finally break the glass ceiling on a technicality? Anyone honest with themselves will acknowledge that Joe Biden won't be able to serve a full term as President. So Kamala Harris would in essence pull a MacKenzie Scott, who became the world's richest woman after her divorce from Jeff Bezos.

Author Philip Wyeth offers a hypothesis about why there are so many disaffected young people in America today.

Macro policies always bring significant consequences. The chaotic street scenes playing out in many cities are perhaps one symptom of a) immigration, b) outsourcing, and c) indoctrination masquerading as education.

Genres smash together in the rollicking super collider that is "Hot Ash and the Oasis Defect." Here elements of hard science fiction and police procedural crash into erotic and fairy tale tropes as author Philip Wyeth introduces the larger-than-life Detective Ashley Westgard of the Jacksonville Police Corps.

It's 2045, a time of decadence while automation maintains the world virtually on autopilot. But Ash, through the fog of her own late-morning hangovers, suspects that all is not well on the road to paradise.

Join her as she navigates the city's criminal underworld in pursuit of a methodical killer. Nano-boost party pills, seedy night clubs, and inexplicable acts of violence will drag her into a shocking conspiracy... One that will force her to look deep into the mirror if she hopes to crack the case.

The Netflix rom-com "I am Not an Easy Man" does a playful job of exploring male and female differences by dropping a playboy into an alternate Paris where women are in charge.

Clever, thoughtful, and not too heavy-handed, this French movie would have been botched by Hollywood, which is more interested in explosions and propaganda than treating the audience with dignity.

What efforts are worth making within a system where it's nearly impossible to get ahead? Who is worth your time in a society full of unreliable people? Bottom line: what should we be doing right now?

What can you do as a unique expression of yourself that puts a stake in the ground? A personally stamped act that will be a source of pride, regardless of the market's trends or flaky people?

The irrevocable deed.
