The program is the political foundation of the NSDAP and accordingly the primary political law of the State. It has been made brief and clear intentionally.

All legal precepts must be applied in the spirit of the party program.

Since the taking over of control, the Fuehrer has succeeded in the realization of essential portions of the Party program from the fundamentals to the detail.

The Party Program of the NSDAP was proclaimed on the 24 February 1920 by Adolf Hitler at the first large Party gathering in Munich and since that day has remained unaltered. Within the national socialist philosophy is summarized in 25 points.

Motto: Blut und Ehre "Blood and Honour"

Hitler Youth, German Hitlerjugend, organization was set up for educating and training male youth in NSDAP principles. Under the leadership of Baldur von Schirach, head of all German youth programs, the Hitler Youth included by 1935 almost 60 percent of German boys. On July 1, 1936, it became a state agency that all young “Aryan” Germans were expected to join.
Upon reaching his 10th birthday, a German boy was registered and investigated (especially for “racial purity”) and, if qualified, inducted into the Deutsches Jungvolk (“German Young People”). At age 13 the youth became eligible for the Hitler Youth, from which he was graduated at age 18. Throughout these years he lived a spartan life of dedication, fellowship, and conformity, generally with minimum parental guidance.

The Hitler Youth was organised into local cells on a community level. Such cells had weekly meetings at which various NSDAP doctrines were taught by adult leaders. Regional leaders typically organised rallies and field exercises in which several dozen Hitler Youth cells would participate. The largest gathering usually took place annually at Nuremberg, where members from all over Germany would converge for the annual NSDAP rally.

The Hitler Youth maintained training academies comparable to preparatory schools, which were designed to nurture future NSDAP Party leaders. The Hitler Youth also maintained several corps designed to develop future officers for the Wehrmacht (Armed Forces). The corps offered specialised foundational training for each of the specific arms for which the member was ultimately destined. The Marine Hitler Youth (Marine-HJ), for example, served as an auxiliary to the Kriegsmarine. Another branch of the Hitler Youth was the Deutsche Arbeiter Jugend – HJ (German Worker Youth – HY). This organisation within the Hitler Youth was a training ground for future labor leaders and technicians. Its symbol was a rising sun with a swastika.
From age 18 he was a member of the NSDAP and served in the state labour service and the armed forces until at least the age of 21.

Between the late 1930s and 1945 nearly 50,000 Germanic volunteers joined the Waffen-SS. The largest group comprised between 23,000 and 25,000 Dutchmen, followed by some 10,000 Flemings, around 6,000 Danes, and approximately 5,000 Norwegians. To this should be added smaller numbers of Swedes, Britons, French and a host of other nationalities classified as Germanic.

Hitler visited Czechoslovakia twice in 1938-1939. The first occasion was a series of one-day visits in early October 1938, after Germany had annexed the Sudetenland. This region of Bohemia, running along the German border and stretching for several miles into Czechoslovakia, had long been settled by ethnic Germans and had been part of Austria until 1919. These Sudeten Germans lived as their German neighbours across the border, speaking German and living in places with German names. After the economic recovery of Germany in the 1930s, the Sudeten Germans clamoured to become part of the Reich. Accordingly, Hitler made a treaty with England, France, and Italy on 30 September 1938 ( The Munich Agreement, after which British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain made his famous "peace in our time" statement), which gave the Sudetenland to Germany. The next day German troops entered the region, followed by Hitler's entourage, all being greeted by ecstatic crowds of Sudeten Germans.

"We shall discover and encourage the artists who are able to impress upon the State of the German people the cultural stamp of the Germanic race . . . in their origin and in the picture which they present they are the expressions of the soul and the ideals of the community." Adolf Hitler

Art of the Third Reich was characterized by a style of Romantic realism based on classical models. While banning modern styles as degenerate, the NSDAP promoted paintings that were traditional in manner and that exalted the "blood and soil" values of racial purity, militarism, and obedience. Other popular themes for NSDAP art were the Volk at work in the fields, a return to the simple virtues of Heimat (love of homeland), the manly virtues of the National Socialist struggle, and the lauding of the female activities of child bearing and raising symbolized by the phrase Kinder, Küche, Kirche ("children, kitchen, church").

Luftwaffe 1939 - 1942

The German Luftwaffe entered World War II in September 1939, employing as its main day fighter the Messerschmitt Bf-109, one of the classic fighter aircraft designs of all time. When war broke out, it was already riding high on a reputation derived from its successful blooding in the Spanish Civil War. 1941 saw the introduction of the Focke Wolf Fw-109 over the English Channel. Its superiority over the Spitfire Mk. V saw it rapidly become the Luftwaffe fighter arm's 'second iron' and was to play a major role in the widening conflict from 1941 onwards.

Dive Bombers & Combat Aircraft

For many in the opening years of the Second World War, the vision of the menacing, gull winged Stuka dive bomber, plunging vertically earthwards, its sirens wailing like banshees before releasing its bomb load, became the very embodiment of the terror created by the new form of 'Blitzkrieg' warfare unleashed on Europe by the German Wehrmacht in September 1939. In this wide-ranging presentation the Stuka is seen in action on all fronts, as well as the Hs-129s and Fw-190 in action in Russia.

Night Flyers

Heavy fighters of the Luftwaffe - zerstörers

A night fighter (also known as all-weather fighter or all-weather interceptor for a period of time after the Second World War is a fighter aircraft adapted for use at night or in other times of bad visibility. Night fighters began to be used in WWI and included types that were specifically modified to operate at night.
During WW2, night fighters were either purpose-built night fighter designs, or more commonly, heavy fighters or light bombers adapted for the mission, often employing radar or other systems for providing some sort of detection capability in low visibility.
