Well I ran out of worms and had to switch to grasshoppers for my bluegill bait. So, I thought that I'd show you how I catch bluegill for bait with grasshoppers. After catching my bait, I threw in a couple lines and pulled out my new personal best walleye. Tight Lines Everyone!

Headed to out to get some live bait for some bank fishing at the lake. Picked up a couple bass on the way back. My live bait died before I got home (heat). So I used some live grubs to catch some bluegill. I was trying to catch some Flatheads but instead I was catching big bass with the live bait. I almost caught a huge monster bass but he spit out the bait before I could land him. Next time! Tight Lines Everyone!

My favorite creek is drying up but there's still fish in the deep holes. I managed to pull out a couple of nice smallmouth bass out of one but this will probably be my last trip to this creek for a while. Tight Lines Everyone!

Took another trip down to the lake with my kayak for some crappie fishing. The lake is flooded so I was targeting the crappie in the bushes along the shoreline. Of course a few bass wanted to be in the show as well...

A mixed bag of lake fishing in this video. Lol Started catching bluegill for catfish bait but got ran off the lake. Next day I tried catfishing at a bluff on the main lake but got ran off. So yep, I ended up bass fishing for most of the day in a protected cove and I caught a nice Crappie for dinner. Tight Lines Everyone!

Went down to the lake to do some bank fishing for bass this winter. Here, I'll show you how to rig crawfish for bass. The bass are coming out of winter hungry and ready to eat up all the emerging crawfish for their upcoming spawn. Headed down to my local bait shop to catch creek chubs. These guys are quickly becoming my new favorite cut bait for catfish. The next day I didn't have much time but I went down to the lake to fish for catfish anyway and managed to pick up a nice flathead catfish before the rain came in. Tight Lines Everyone!

Fall is the time for creek fishing! The fish have moved out deep in the lake or headed into the creeks. I found a spot at my creek where the shad had been herded by the bass into a perfect ambush spot and the shad didn't have a chance. There was so much bait in the area that the water was alive. Tight Lines Everyone!

This spring my bluegill trap got stuck in the flood water for 6 months. I found some bones inside after finally getting to pull the sucker out. I believe that they were of a soft shell turtle... but I'm not really that sure. I'm totally not a bone expert. lol Unsupervised traps can really hurt wildlife and this scenario was worst case as far as I'm concerned. Mother nature can be pretty unpredictable and she totally caught me with my pants down on this one. Tight Lines Everyone!

Went down to the lake to do some night fishing for catfish. The water level at the lake has receded so it's back to my favorite kind of fishing. Bank fishing for catfish. The old timers say that the best time to catch catfish is at night but maybe they just like catfishing at night because it's so peaceful. Either way I pulled in some nice flatheads and a channel catfish... and got chased by a crazy snake. Tight Lines Everyone!

Headed out yesterday to do some creek fishing at my new favorite local creek. The locals call it a World Class Smallmouth Bass Fishery and I have to agree with them. I broke out my 3 favorite small creek fishing lures and went to town ripping some lips. This small creek is one of the healthiest water ways that I've ever seen. It's crystal clear and loaded with a variety of bait fish. Tight Lines Everyone!

I decided to try my hand at micro fishing. So I went and picked up some micro fishing lures and 4lb mono from wally world. Nothing special, they're really just tiny lures for crappie fishing. Normally Micro fishing is done in small creeks and puddles but all I have around is a big lake. So hey why not?

The fishing for the month of July has gone wrong. Everything that can go wrong fishing... has gone wrong. Water rescue?? This is just one of many crazy incidents that has happened this month. I never thought in my wildest I'd be doing a dog water rescue. But now I think the bad juju has dissipated and things can get back on track. It's been one insane month and I'm glad to see it go. This week I tried some channel catfish bait bought from Dollar general. I don't normally use store bought catfish bait but thought I'd give it a chance. The best one turned out to be chicken. I'm not sure why it was such a surprise for me. I just never used chicken for catfish bait before. Tight Lines Everyone!

I decided to do a little meat fishing with some limb lines and I used cut bluegill for catfish bait. After a year of talking to the local fishermen I realized that the main way they catch catfish up here is through limb line fishing or jugs. Not really for sport but to put meat in the freezer and limb line fishing for catfish is a great way to stock up. Tight Lines Everyone!
