Gods words are pure, can you take them at face value?

I want to talk about Eternal Security, We are certainly not going to solve this issue as people have been arguing about this for over a thousand years.

I just wanted to give you my thoughts on the subject.

1Jn 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

When you take a look at God's word and you see a promise, that promise in order to be pure it has to have no strings attached.

Any strings/conditions attached would be darkness?

Let's look at a few promises of God.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Do you at this moment have Eternal Life? Then if you could lose it by some sin you committed, then it's conditional life not eternal life?

Everyone sins everyday so which sin is the one that put you over the line of “That's it your gone?”

1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Every sin, past, present, and future, nailed to the cross 2000 years ago.

Every Born Again Believer has the Holy Spirit residing within them and the Holy Spirit can't be defeated.

Php 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

John 6:37 All that the Father gives me shall come to me; and him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out.

I believe the real issue comes from a head knowledge and not a heart knowledge, no genuine conversion.
True conversion brings about repentance, we want to live for God because of what He did for us. We will never obtain perfection but we strive for it as if we could.

Lie 1; Everyone except you is doing great Spiritually?

Rom 7:18-20 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwells no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me.

Everyone's life seems great because you only see what they want you to see, this is especially true for those you only see at church or church functions?

Lie 2; Everyone's life is perfect except yours?

Psa 14:2-3 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. 3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that does good, no, not one.

Every Believer is in a spiritual battle, The more success they have the greater the battle rages.

Lie 3; Everyone else has a perfect marriage?

No such thing, two imperfect people can't have a perfect marriage?

I have known couples who have swore up and down their marriage was flawless, perfect, literally a marriage made in heaven, only to end in divorce within months.

North Valley Church and the divorce rate, New Beginnings?

Lie 4; Everyone else their kids are perfect?

The downfall of many Pastors have been their kids, Satan can't get to the Pastor, they will attack his family.

Many Pastors believe a fallen child is a direct reflection of themselves, MR at FBC.

Never compare yourself to others, you have no idea of the struggles they are having.

You also have no idea how hard they try to put on a front so that no one finds out that they are not perfect?

Their are Several benefits to helping the poor, The Chief being God will protect you if you do.

Psa 41:1 Blessed is he that considers the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
Psa 41:2 The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
Psa 41:3 The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

God tells us in this passage of scripture that there are benefits to helping the poor. When we help the poor, we are actually helping ourselves?

Verse 1 tells us that if we help the poor when trouble comes our way and we call out to God He will remember that we helped the poor and their fore God will help us.

Verse 2 tells us that if we help the poor then He will keep our enemies at from harming us both humans and the demonic host alike.

Verse 3 tells us that giving to the poor is directly connected to our health, when we are afflicted and we ask God for healing He will remember when we helped the poor and in turn, He will heal us.

Mar 9:41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

Giving is not about how much you give; it is about you giving consistently. It's about you making the life of another person somewhere a whole lot better?

Giving will turn your life around, giving even a small amount will change the life of others especially in a third world country.

The key to giving is that it takes your mind off you and your needs and allow you to focus on the needs of others, it allows you to take your money and offer it to someone who desperately needs it. The key to giving is that you can't out give God,

Mar 10:29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
Mar 10:30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

Judging others is a natural ability that all Humans seem to posses?

Jas 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Jas 4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaks evil of his brother, and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law, and judges the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
Jas 4:12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judges another?

Verse 10; tells us that the more we humble ourselves the more God will lift us up, the more we put others before ourselves the more God will lift us up.

The old Proverb “Pride comes before a fall” is a very true statement and pops into my head every time I'm about to do something stupid?

Verse 11; As humans we are absolute experts as to what’s wrong with others?

Someone asks you “What am I doing wrong”? We can go on for hours as to the exact problem with them and what they need to do to fix it?

In a group of several people and someone outside the group is brought up, everyone in the group knows exactly what that person’s problem is?

How ever when it comes to us we are oblivious to our own faults.

Verse 12; Reminds us that we are completely unqualified to judge others, because we do the same things.

Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Mat 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Mat 7:3 And why behold thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but consider not the beam that is in thine own eye?

There is only one who has the right to judge and that is God alone.

To Do List

The Lord Jesus included a couple things for everyone to add to their daily prayer and to do lists.

1. Pray for the ministry of other believers and especially for those who are idle.

Mat 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few;
Mat 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.

Prayer is very powerful and by praying for the ministry of others you can break the stronghold that the demonic forces has on them with out ever knowing them.

2. Forgive everyone.

Mat 18:32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desired me:
Mat 18:33 Should not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow servant, even as I had pity on thee?
Mat 18:34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
Mat 18:35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

God is very adamant about your forgiveness of everyone and the reason why is that no one has sinned against you beyond what you have sinned against God.

3. Bless the houses you enter.

Luk 10:5 And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.
Luk 10:6 And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.

Sometimes you have no clue how long a single mistake can effect your entire life and your descendants after you?

Problem Naaman is a leper.
2Ki 5:1 Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honorable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valor, but he was a leper

Solution; Israel has a Prophet.
2Ki 5:2 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.
3 And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.

Problem; the letter.
2Ki 5:7 And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeks a quarrel against me.

Solution; Prophet says chill send him over.
2Ki 5:10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.

Problem; Too easy.
2Ki 5:11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.

Solution; do it anyway.
2Ki 5:13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean? 14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

Naaman Sees the light,
2Ki 5:18 In this thing the LORD pardon thy servant, that when my master goeth into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leaneth on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon: when I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, the LORD pardon thy servant in this thing. 19 And he said unto him, Go in peace. So he departed from him a little way.

What if when you die you don't die? What if at the moment of death you just wake up somewhere else? Maybe You need to look into that you know just in case, I mean You are a Prepper right??

How much time do you spend worrying?

Worry a Human Flaw, do you worry about tomorrow? Did you know almost everything we worry about never comes to pass.

Mat 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Mat 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things.
Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Mat 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Verse 31 talks about the necessities of life, food, water, and cloths, Parents and Kids.

Verse 32 tells us gentiles worry about necessities, however Christians can be assured that God knows we need these things daily and He will supply all our needs.

Verse 33 tell us what needs to consume our thoughts is The Kingdom of God, and His Righteousness.

The Kingdom of God = study, prayer, ministry, and giving. Church

His righteousness = His Blood cleanses us from all sin, confess and receive.

1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We are clothed in His righteousness, we add nothing to out salvation apart from faith in Jesus Christ.

Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

This Book, I read my Bible daily and I can probably count on one hand how many days I've missed on one hand over the past 45 years.

The stronger the attack the more time I spend in my Bible, reading takes my mind off the attack/problem and I can focus on Gods word and it counters the attack.

I started reading my Bible cover to cover on July 8 2021 and finished on Sept. 22 2021 77 days

Jos 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Jos 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee where ever you go.

Verse 8 tells us that “Gods Word” is a part of us, in out mouth, we are to mediate on it day and night

If we do it will bring prosperity and good success.

Verse 9 reminds us of what “Gods Words” says Be strong and of a good courageous, fear not, be not dismayed, for God is with us.

Dismayed = anxious, uneasy, unsettled, a fear that God is not in control?

Psalms 23 is the antidote to dismayed.

Psa 23:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psa 23:2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters.
Psa 23:3 He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Psa 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psa 23:5 Thou prepares a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anoints my head with oil; my cup runs over.
Psa 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Their are two reasons for divorce in the Bible, let's take a look at them both?

32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

To the married I give this command – not I, but the Lord – a wife should not divorce a husband

(1Cor 7:11 [NET])
(but if she does, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband), and a husband should not divorce his wife.

(1Cor 7:12 [NET])
To the rest I say – I, not the Lord – if a brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is happy to live with him, he should not divorce her.

The Key words in this passage of scripture is “For your Good”. One reason Gods commands are put in place to protect you from your own heart.

Bondage always involves fear, Spiritual Fear

Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Spiritual Fear is what you feel whenever there is an obstacle that has come between you and God.

Psa 25:15 Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

This scripture tells us that if we focus on God, He will rescue us from the traps set by the demonic host and the dumb things we do to ourselves.

God will always send you a warning, He will always open a door of escape?

If you heed the warning, go through the door that is the “Do it the easy way”.

If you fail to take the warning, fail to go through the door of escape, that's when God says “Looks like we are going to have to do this the hard way”

It always involves consequences, there is always a price to be paid?

Afghanistan and Vietnam are identical start to finish.

How much did twenty years in Afghanistan cost?

Direct solders death over 3000, injuries 20,000

Afgan security forces, killed 66,000, total deaths 800,000

The Military Industrial Complex along with the politicians make billions while the young men and woman in the military are killed and crippled for life.

War is big business and the powers that be are in it for the money and they care less about who gets killed in the process.

Afghanistan just like Vietnam 50 years ago was all for nothing,

It many many rich at the cost of many young American Soldiers.

1. Mansion; Imaging if someone you know someone close hit the mega-lottery.

And one day they came over to your house and gave you the key to your new house and said “I bought this for you had it furnished with everything you could possibly want.”

You go and your new house it's in a gated community, lake front, dock, boat, pool, spa, everything you could have imagined.

You go into the kitchen and open the pantry and it is stacked with cash floor to ceiling,
you go into the garage and there is a brand new pickup and your favorite car waiting.

As you walk around and survey your new dwelling you call you friend and say it's perfect you absolutely thought of everything.

Your mansion in Heaven is going to be absolutely perfect because God knows you better than you know yourself, all your wants and desires and He is the perfect designer.

2. Job; Your “Place in Heaven” also includes your job or function?

God created you and molded you to perform a function in heaven something you will be perfect at and something you will love doing? It will be the perfect fit.

3. People; Have their been times in your life where you just didn't fit in, school, groups, jobs, you know times where you were an outcast, feeling left out?

In Heaven you will be surrounded by people who love you unconditionally, you will know a love that you have never experienced before.

Your place is in Heaven, not here on the earth, Jesus said “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself.” He's coming soon.
