Video has emerged of a Russian aircraft flying past the British naval vessel HMS Destroyer during an incident that took place in the Black Sea on Wednesday.
Russia’s Ministry of Defense claims its Black Sea Fleet was forced to fire a warning shot at the British ship after it sailed into Russian waters near Crimea.
However, the UK denies that any warning shots were fired, and says its vessel was informed of a routine gunnery exercise that Russia was undertaking in the region.
Furthermore, Russian officials claim that aircraft were forced to drop warning bombs close to the British ship, in an attempt to get it to change course – a claim which Britain also denies.
The footage appears to show a Russian plane whizzing past the destroyer.
