It is my goal to chip away at the polarization that is threatening our civilization by modeling respectful yet challenging conversations between strangers on the subjects we hold most dear. I hope to understand my beliefs better by learning from, and about, people of all persuasions while simultaneously encourage others to examine their own beliefs with a fresh eye. With each conversation I try to interact as though we each have something of value to share with the other, as that is almost certainly the case. In some small way I hope this project is part of an antidote to the maddening interactions taking place on social media. All of my conversations are face to face with people I've met only through being out in public with a sign announcing my desire to talk with them.
Additionally, I hope that people who are inspired by these conversations will support me and my pottery habit by buying a piece of pottery. More info on how to do that to come.
