I heard a gunshot last night coming from Room 3. The police showed up, then the coroner. Old Jake had been a banker when he was young, but he started drinking heavily and his wife took the kids and left. Then he lost his job and eventually wound up living at the Crest. I can’t say for sure what happened, but we all sort of know.
