A look at the 1952 predictions about the future by Heinlein.

Some thoughts on the works of L. Ron Hubbard and the problems they pose to are project of reviewing the golden age of science fiction.

It occurs to me that the description of what auditing is meant to accomplish may not be entirely precise. For one thing Scientologists would use the term reactive mind where I use the term unconscious mind. I have tried to research it properly but may not have fully understood everything.

Starting my series reviewing the classic magazine Astounding Science Fiction. Today we take a look at Harry Bates, the first editor of Astounding, and the background to the magazines creation. Harry Bates Edited Astounding from January 1930 to March 1933. This will be the first era of Astounding that we look at.

The intro to a series of reviews I will be doing on the stories of the Classic Science Fiction magazine Astounding. Hope you will join me.

A Correction. I state in this video that there is only one fanfic online (or rather that I had only found one). Since then I have found this page that contains a few more which seem to be mostly from the nineties. http://www.solarguard.com/sofans.htm
The fanfiction I mentioned in the video can be found here. Check it out. https://archiveofourown.org/works/14333415

I've written individual reviews of all of the episodes of the radio show and all the books here. https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/reviewing-and-discussing-the-entire-tom-corbett-space-cadet-franchise.822647/

http://www.solarguard.com/tccomic.htm And the comics are here. The comics are very different in tone from the rest of the series involving aliens and a lot of other fantastical elements that do not appear in the rest of the series. Honestly, I wonder if the comic writer had even watched the show. Although they are pretty good in their own right they definitely don't belong in the same universe as the rest of the franchise.

I am firmly of the opinion that all aspects of the last century can be best illustrated by scifi. I hope you join me as I look at little known pieces of scifi in order to illustrate forgotten or little known bits of culture and history.
