Ok almost tore my hair out over this one. Nothing was working correctly. Something I saved as an light source like a window when I imported the asset into the scene suddenly would be set to 0 strength instead of the 1 it was saved as. The orion ship start out darker than it is supposed to be because somehow a transmission setting was dialed down from 1 to .3, and about 6 other similar things. Serves me right for using a beta version. The computer was running at 100% CPU for a good 7 hours and triggered thermal protection slowdown multiple times. I'd like to do more than 30 seconds but I need a beefier machine to handle that. I started going for shorter clip lengths near the end just to get it done.
Anyway here it is a Freighter Attack and defense.

Star Fleet Battles is a space combat simulator (actually rather 2D wet navy like) but it's still one of the best tactical simulators out there. It's a basic game of move and shoot, but with a lot of depth. Most of my vids are on SFB but others will be on GNU/Linux and Ebikes (electric bicycles).
