LYRICS

YESTERDAY WAS BEAUTIFUL

MICHAEL G STRICKLAND
© 10-17-2012

YESTERDAY WAS BEAUTIFUL AND SO WERE YOU
TODAY THE SKY IS CRYING AND YOU ARE TOO
WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY CAN MAKE
TRYING TO LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES

ALARM BELL'S RINGING CAUSE THE END IS NEAR
YOU CAN'T PICK AND CHOOSE THE WORDS YOU WANT TO HEAR
WHAT A DIFFERENCE A CHANGE CAN MAKE
AIN'T IT SAD WHEN OUR HEARTS BREAK
WHAT A DIFFERENCE A CHANGE CAN MAKE
YOU KNOW TOMORROW CAN BE BEAUTIFUL TOO

YESTERDAY WAS BEAUTIFUL AND SO WERE YOU
TODAY THIS GUY IS CRYING AND YOU ARE YOU
WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY CAN MAKE
AIN'T IT SAD WHEN OUR HEARTS BREAK
WHAT A DIFFERENCE A CHANGE CAN MAKE
YOU KNOW TOMORROW CAN BE BEAUTIFUL TOO

GO ON SELL YOUR STORY TELL A MILLION LIES
YOUR LIFE IS LIKE A CEMENT KITE
YOU MIGHT EVENTUALLY AVOID BEING DESTROYED
BUT YOU'LL HAVE TO MAKE IT THROUGH TONIGHT WHOO

ALARM BELL'S RINGING CAUSE THE END IS NEAR
YOU CAN'T PICK AND CHOOSE THE WORDS YOU LONG TO HEAR
WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY CAN MAKE
TRYING TO LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES
WHAT A DIFFERENCE A CHANGE CAN MAKE
YOU KNOW TOMORROW CAN BE BEAUTIFUL TOO

GO ON SELL YOUR STORY TELL A MILLION LIES
YOUR LIFE IS LIKE A CEMENT KITE
YOU MIGHT EVENTUALLY AVOID BEING DESTROYED
BUT YOU'LL HAVE TO MAKE IT THROUGH TONIGHT WHOO

TOMORROW MAY BE BEAUTIFUL AND SO ARE YOU
TODAY THE SKY IS CRYING AND YOU ARE TOO
BUT WHAT A DIFFERENCE A CHANGE CAN MAKE
AIN'T IT SAD WHEN OUR HEARTS BREAK
WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY CAN MAKE
YOU KNOW TOMORROW CAN BE BEAUTIFUL TOO

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A CHANGE CAN MAKE
TOMORROW CAN BE BEAUTIFUL TOO
WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY CAN MAKE
TOMORROW CAN BE BEAUTIFUL TOO

NOTE: Facebook publishing date was Sept. 5, however the video was recorded several weeks earlier.. I'm just not positive of the exact date.. but it was on a Thursday night! ;)

BTW: I don't have a Facebook page so I had to use an online video capture for this video. The capture didn't allow audio recording so I recorded that separately & added it at the approximate location.. or as close as I could get it. I additionally edited two sections where Gena Gillespie Walker (person who shot the video) turned her cellphone sideways to capture video of the rather large gathering. ;)
