Two graves buried off from the main cemetery on the Booker Wright cemetery on Long Fork of Virgie Kentucky. The grave are Sarah Tackett Hudson Holbrook 1855-1939 and L.C Clark Holbrook 1848-1932. This was videoed in the summer of 2021

Never assume something. I made the mistake of assuming this white oak was dead because it uprooted a couple years ago and that the wood would be ready to burn in a few months. Them I found green leaves on it.

In this video I visit The old Weeksbury mineshaft and a old house site. I share stories about the miners one of whom was my great uncle Winfred Tackett and how my great grandmother would see them bring the bodies by the house of men who where killed. I don’t know for sure if Winfred was killed in this exact mine or not but it’s the only one I’m aware of. I don’t know hardly anything about the house site.

Peck to the hill beans that have been in my family for at least 200 years. They where the seeds brought to Kentucky from North Carolina in the early 1800s. Unlike GMO seeds these seeds can be saved and replanted.

A old coal bank my papaw and his dad dug out to heat their home in the 1940s. This was a common practice in east Kentucky and other parts of the Application mountains.
