Hi guys!

Here is a piece I wrote for an artist I work with. It's a demo of how you can use more extreme sounds from some basic guitar pedals in order to create textures and (in the case) imitate a synth.

Enjoy and I'll see you soon.

Hi guys

I'm just having a bit of fun with this classic intro. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

See you very soon with some tutorials.

Hi guys

The lush licks series is going to give quick short tutorials on some of the licks I write and use. I'll be keeping it short and sweet. I will still upload full tutorials on my channel as well. Have a go and let me know how you do.

See you soon
Steven

It may be a violent fantasy relating to Hilary Clinton! :-)

Hi Guys!

With all the Synthwave and New retro music (which I have been a fan of for years, I love it! ) Here is a little piece I wrote today for an energetic track I'm working on. ūüėé

Hello my dears!

Here is a lick I wrote in the style of Zakk Wylde. It's a an aggressive pentatonic work out. Play it like a demented Viking! :-D
If anyone wants a tutorial, just let me know.

See you in class!

Hi all!

Just me blasting through Randy's wicked guitar solo for this tune. I love those tapped arpeggios. If anyone wants a tutorial just let me know.

Breslin over and out!

Hi guys

This is just an ending I have just written for a piece I'm working on. I thought you might enjoy it.

See you soon

Hi guys

Here is a tutorial on how to play the introduction to this classic song, arranged for one guitar. It's great for your picking and string picking technique. It also shows how you can take a fairly common chord progression and give it a unique sound that is instantly recognizable.

Enjoy!

Hi guys!

Here is an animation for which I composed the music for. It's an old one from a good few years back now. It was one of my first paid job as a composer whilst I was still at university, so it has a special place in my heart. I was commissioned by the Manx Museum and Oscar nominated artist Juan Moore to compose this short piece. :-D

Hi guys!

Yours truly playing the iconic Deep Purple Highway Star solo. It's one of my favorite solo's that Ritchie Blackmore wrote. All the harmony parts are excellent and they really bring the solo to life. Beast of a tune!

Enjoy!

Greetings one and greetings all!

Here is a little Monday afternoon Rockabilly solo I learnt from Damian Bacci. It's such a cool little kooky solo. I'm really enjoying this genre of music at the moment. It's sounds great and is fun to play.

Check out Damian's channel, he is a great teacher and player: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvXu...

Hello and feel the Rock on!

Again, a student of mine wants to learn this amazing track by the almighty Jimi Hendrix. This is one of my favorites (it's hard to pick one of Jimi's tunes that I love more than others as he has so many fantastic songs). I've done my best with it, after all, only Jimi could of played this song right. In the lesson I will break it down bar by bar and we will go very slowly. There is so much good stuff here, that every detail of his playing should be respected and thought as best as possible. It will only ever do your playing good to approach it this way at first. Enjoy and please check out the original recording and some of Jimi's live recordings; they are magic :-)

Hi guys!

Just a quick vid of me playing through the solo in this legendary song, as requested by a certain little rocker I teach :-). If you're new to lead guitar, I would recommend this solo as a great place to start. If anyone wants a tutorial on how to play it, let me know in the comments section.

Enjoy and Breslin over and out.

Hi guys!

I'm just uploading this video again with some changes.

The all mighty Randy Rhoads shows us his second to none compositional skills. If I had a gun to my head and was asked to pick my all time favorite solo, this would be it. You are dearly missed Mr Rhoads.

Enjoy your Halloween celebrations!

Hi guys

Just a quick play through of the this classic song. If anyone wants a tutorial, just let me know. See you soon!

Hi guys!

Here is a little useful warm up exercise I've been playing for a while. I thought you might find it helpful for your legato playing. Let me know what you think!

Enjoy

Hi guys

I'm sorry it's been a while!

I have loads more vids on the way, including some tutorials. This is just a play through I did for one of my students who is starting to transition from blues to rock (although both can compliment each other beautifully and often do). This solo is a great place to start. A humble but perfectly tailored piece of lead guitar. A fantastic job by Tony Iommi.

See you soon!

Hi guys!

I found this little gem from way back in the my Uni days. I really like Ed and Tesa's vocals on this cover of Fleetwood Mac's go your own way. I think it was an assignment we did or something. Yours truly playing the guitar solo at the end and some of the other guitar parts = good times :-P

Hi guys!

Just a quickie I took on my phone as I'm just waiting for some new camera gear to arrive. A great tv show theme from the incredible Mike Post. He's a personal hero of mine, after all he did write the A-Team theme amongst many others. Check him out!

What's up Mofos!

Here's a track from a band I use to play in a few years back with my friends at Uni. I wrote and played all the lead guitars on this one. I love this track and it was a blast to play live. A big thank you to Agne, Shane, Andy and John for making this a fantastic band to play in and for writing a fecking beast of tune :-)

Also a big thank you to Mr Shane Ivers for his great playing and the production of this version. Please check out some of his other great work: https://www.facebook.com/SilvermanSou...

HI
Here is the title track of my Ep. The lyrics give a little nod to Edward Snowden and moral dilemmas in general. I think this one might be my favorite... Enjoy! :-)

Greetings one and greetings all!

Here is a play through for the first part of the Chet Akins version of the song Mr Sandman. I have hybrid picked this song (as opposed to using a thumb pick like Chet) because I can't really play with a thumb pick. It's also an alternative way for players like me to approach the song as well. Please let me know in the comments section, if you would like a tutorial.

Breslin over and out!
