In this video I will try to present the evidence available showing whether Jesus Christ, aka Jesus of Nazareth, aka the Lord, aka the Saviour really existed or is a character in the Bible’s New Testament and the Koran.

Date Name Statement Jesus?
96 Josephus Testamonium Flavianum, James yes
112 Tacitus Chrestianos in Rome no
112 Pliny the Younger Christians no
115 Suetonius Jews due to Chrestus in Rome no
? Quadratus healings by Saviour no
? Thallus Syncellus says Africanus says Thallus says eclipse no
140 Phlegon Origen, Eusebius say Phlegon says eclipse no
170 Lucian Christians no
180 Celsus bastard Jesus, son of roman soldier yes
? Mara Bar Serapion Jews executing their King no
3rd c Talmud a hanged Yeshu with 5 disciples no

 Josephus, being a devout Jew and not a Christian, would not accept Jesus as a Messiah or a Christ or an anointed one, as the Jewish Bible requires different features.
 Christians were not a tribe and the religion of Christianity did not emerge until well into the 2nd century CE.
 Other Historians, privy to the original texts, did not mention any reference to any Jesus Christ in this text for three centuries.
 The passage showed up for the first time in the fourth century and seems grossly out of context. In the previous paragraph, Josephus talks about Jews rioting about the way Pilate wanted to reroute a stream of water. Then he talks about the hardship of Jews in Rome and the temple of Isis. And in between is this paragraph about Jesus Christ. Without any context. Odd.
 The following paragraph indicates that Jesus Christ was “another sad calamity”.
 I have read a lot of book reviews and interviews where it is claimed that this paragraph was tampered with or interpolated or even inserted as a means to invent proof, but without anyone ever really specifying the parts.
 Looking at the last words “at this day” are a further indication that it was inserted at a later time, as a historian would not write this.
 The paragraph is a condensed recital of the story the way the church would want it, not at all a historical account.
 The name Jesus appears frequently (69 times), as it was a common name. As do Solomon and Heracles.
 Nowhere else in any of his works does the word Christ appear.
 A chapter later he again talks about Pilate. No Jesus. Odd
 A chapter later he talks about John, the Baptist. No Jesus. Very odd.
 There is no mentioning of truly remarkable, amazing and obvious things such as miracles and the geological abnormalities during the crucifixion. Extremely odd.
 It would seem that this paragraph was written by “church historian” Eusebius for the Council of Nicaea.

May 2011, Analysing the inheritance laws as laid out in the Koran. The text in the Koran is so bad and so unclear that scholars, experts and electronic calculators all divert from the non-sensical Koranic texts. This shows that the Koran can't possibly have been conceived, designed and written by a god, who is supposedly perfect, but stems from humans living hundreds of years ago.

While I am in the region I look at the Rights of Women at the time and compare that to claims made by Muslim apologists.

I do not criticise humans who sincerely believe a god exists and has issued these laws. It just shows they are believing a book is true in spite of proof that shows this book was written by other humans.

May 2011 - an analysis of a paper on Koranic inheritance distribution, introducing a sequential and chronology approach not found in the Koran

4:11
Allah charges you, concerning your children:
to the male the like of the portion of two females,
and if they be women above two, then for them two-thirds of what he leaves,
but if she be one then to her a half;
and to his parents to each one of the two the sixth of what he leaves, if he has children;
but if he has no children, and his heirs are his parents,
a third to his mother,
or if he has brothers, to his mother a sixth,
after any bequest he may bequeath, or any debt.
Your fathers or your sons -
you know not which out of them is nearer in profit to you.
So Allah apportions; surely Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.
4:12
And for you a half of what your wives leave, if they have no children;
but if they have children, then for you of what they leave a fourth,
after any bequest they may bequeath, or any debt.
And for them a fourth of what you leave, if you have no children;
but if you have children, then for them of what you leave an eighth.
after any bequest they may bequeath, or any debt.
If a man or woman have no heir direct [i.e. children or parents],
but have a brother or a sister, to each of the two a sixth;
but if they are more numerous than that, they share equally a third,
after any bequest they may bequeath, or any debt not prejudicial;
a charge from Allah. Allah is All-knowing, All-clement.
4:176
They will ask thee for a pronouncement.
Say: 'Allah pronounces to you concerning the indirect heirs.
If a man perishes having no children,
but he has a sister, she shall receive a half of what he leaves,
and he is her heir if she has no children.
If there be two sisters,
they shall receive two-thirds of what he leaves;
if there be brothers and sisters,
the male shall receive the portion of two females.
Allah makes clear to you, lest you go astray;
Allah has knowledge of everything.

triangle shares

4:12: If a man or woman have no heir, but have a brother or a sister, to each of the two a sixth;
4:176: If a man perishes having no children, but he has a sister, she shall receive a half of what he leaves

This division resumed in three verses in total, is
an extremely systematic, punctual, consistent and
flexible structure. Because in the system, in which the
heirs take shares according to their positions; as long as
the cases change, the shares of the heirs change too.

An elaborate language is used in the explanations of
the shares, direct and indirect shares
are distinguished literally.

And the magic trick follows shortly afterwards. LearnQuranicArabic states that you can only use one of the sentences from the 3 inheritance ayat at a time. You can't apply them to a situation collectively, but only one at a time. So then if a man dies leaving 2 daughters and his wife, why don't we apply the following sentence which regulates what the parents get and ignore the second part of the sentence?

In 4:11 it clearly says:
"to the male the like of the portion of two females, and if they be women above two, then for them two-thirds of what he leaves..."

Are these two sentences? Or three? Are these two or three totally separate cases? What if I leave behind 3 daughters and 1 son? Does the son get double of what the females get, which would be double of two-thirds? Or would the daughters get two-thirds and the son nothing? Which would not be double, as specified in the first part. How do you pick which part of one verse is applicable?

Don't you see this is a total mess?
Don't you see this is clearly not the work of an all-knowing and wise god?

YOU could do a better job of this.

Are mountains like pegs? Are mountains set on top of the earth?
If you look at the continental crust, which is low density and thick as opposed to the oceanic crust which is more dense and thin, you can appreciate that to counteract gravity, the weight of a mountain being formed by moving tectonic plates requires a bigger "root" or base due to buoyancy.

Sorry.

13:3 And He it is Who spread out the earth and placed therein firm hills and flowing streams...
15:19 And the earth have We spread out, and placed therein firm hills, and caused each seemly thing to grow therein.
41:10 He placed therein firm hills rising above it, and blessed it and measured therein its sustenance in four Days, alike for (all) who ask;
50:7 And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon,
77:27 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein?

A sperm’s Journey and Embryology in Quran - There Is No Clash

NoClash or “There is no clash” is a channel which reverts to Bucailleism. They revive the 40-year-old lies and nonsense invented by the corrupt people who tried to upgrade the Koran by making it seem compatible with reality and scientific descriptions of nature.
Obviously, and as soon as you start digging, this is false.

So I analyse the Koran, the claims made by “noClash” about what the Koran says about embryology and compare that to the real world. I put a book on embryology written by Dr. K. Moore from Canada next to the Koran and compare the contents.

Does that make any sense to you?

Why do Muslims really insist on embarrassing themselves?
Why do people continue with this "produce something like it"???
What should be produced?
According to which of the 4 sentences in the Koran making this claim?
According to which rules?
In what language?
On what medium?
According to which objective criteria?
According to what standards and measurements?
Who will judge according to what rules?
I have done this years ago and nobody has ever proven me wrong or worse than the Koran.

“Men can produce its like in eloquence and arrangement. A man, named Nadir ibn Haritha, was bold enough to accept the challenge, and arranged some stories of the Persian kings in chapters and Suras and recited them.”

“Hamzah ben-Ahed wrote a book against the Koran with at least equal elegance, and Maslema another, which surpassed it, and occasioned a defection of great number of Mussulmans.”

The fourth part of my mini-series: Textual Criticism of the Koran.
Today I look at variants of the book, as Muslims claim only one, single version exists. They mostly claim that only one version was memorised and thus there can be only one version. I look at the different texts to see if this claim is true.

Let’s look at Surah 37:103 first.

In the Uthman edition: And they did not submit (i.e. did not become Muslims)

In the Cairo version it says: So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah…..

Which is the opposite. Here are the differences in Arabic:

Similarly, in that single page of 8 lines there were 5 variants to the Quran used today.

2:284, a word was added, not to change, but to enhance the meaning:

The Tashkent Koran has the word “he”.

The Cairo version was later changed to say Allah:

You decide if this is a variant or not.

1/8 wife/wives 3/24 have children, then for them of what you leave an eighth
2/3 daughters 16/24 women above two, then for them two-thirds of what he leaves
2/6 parents 8/24 parents to each one of the two the sixth of what he leaves
= 3 + 16 + 8 = 27/24 Ooops, does the community pay the missing eighth?

4:11

2x male of female
>2 daughters = 2/3
1 daughter = 1/2
father = 1/6, with child
mother = 1/6, with child

mother = 1/3, no son
father = ? no son

mother = ? with daughter

brethren brother/sister mother = 1/6, as before

4:12

husband = 1/4 with child

wife = 1/4, no child

sister = 1/6

> 2 brothers/sisters = 1/3

2 sisters = 2/3

A video I made a few years back when I was working and living in Doha, Qatar.
It shows me leaving an office with all the particularities of a Muslim majority country where the political ideology is implemented and everyday life runs according to what Muhammad decreed. I drive around, giving a glimpse of what the Middle East country is like as a snapshot when you are not a Muslim.

Is life fair? No, for a Muslim it isn’t.
Antique superstitions and rituals based on the culture and society of Arabia in the 7th century makes life today difficult and unfair, when mankind has progressed and the quality of life has changed dramatically.

These are answers to some of the questions I get asked frequently. I try and keep it concise, so if you want more background you will need to watch my longer and more in depth videos.

Koran Textual Criticism 2 – “and” vs “or” (03. 2011)

In Arabic, this is the word “and”, a conjunction, which usually indicates a connection or addition of elements:

و

And this is the word “or”.

أو

Distinctively different.
So how many women can a man marry? Is it 4 or 9? Should a god be clear on what is the norm for people it created? Is the Koran a clear book where everything is explained?

The first in my mini-series: Textual Criticism of the Koran. March 2011

In the first episode I investigate the claim of a perfect, clear and easy to understand book, sent “down” by a perfect god.

so that whosoever would receive admonition could receive it 35:37
(god) He is enough as a witness between me and you 46:8
Complete 17 sentences of chapter 86 is gibberish:
I swear by the sky and by the Night-Comer, and what may let you know what the Night-Comer is? The star of piercing brightness! there is no human being, but there is a watcher over him.
So, let man consider of which stuff he is created. He is created of spouting water that comes out from between the loins and the chest-bones. Surely He is Powerful to bring him back on a day when all the secrets will be searched out, and he will have neither strength (to defend), nor a supporter. I swear by the sky that rains, and the earth that cracks open (for plants), this is a decisive word, and it is not a joke. They are devising plans, and I Am devising plans. So leave the disbelievers alone at the moment; give them respite for a while.

11:1 a Book whose verses are perfected and then presented in detail from [one who is] Wise and Acquainted
41:3 A Book of which the verses are made plain, an Arabic Quran for a people who know
41:44 And if We had made it a Quran in a foreign tongue, they would certainly have said: Why have not its communications been made clear?
54:17 We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember
54:22 We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember
54:32 We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember
54:40 indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember
