October 2018. A short visit to the "last free place in America" which turned out to be little more than a giant litter box in the desert for the disabled, disenfranchised, drug addled and disillusioned.

Summer temperatures typically exceed 110 degrees. Water is the most precious commodity. People shit in the sand. Tires, bottles and pallets mark off territories. Armored Military vehicles from Strawberry Mountain traverse the area on the daily. Military drones surveil the residents overhead. Mob justice, in lieu of county administration, prevails.

Imagine a society where Lord of the Flies meets Road Warrior and you get the picture.
