Istanbul | Most Beautiful City in the World

In March 2022 I went to Istanbul. This has been a dream come true for me.

Visiting Istanbul was always on my bucket list of things to do and what a bucket it was. I spent 6 wondrous days there.

For over 1500 years now Istanbul has been one of the world’s greatest cities and has so many wondrous things and so many different historical places to visit.

It has a beautiful assortment of ancient churches, mosques and palaces with colourful tilework and dramatic architecture.

The River Lee has been used as a means of transport since Roman times and is now witness to beautiful canal boats and a very laid back and friendly boating community and one of the most stunning nature reserves around London.

It was a wonderful sunny day and I decided it’s best spend outdoors. Those who know me, know how important exercise and movement is for me.

And this was indeed a very very special walk.

My journey started in Manor Park from where I took the Overground to Blackhorse Road.This was a very pleasant 15 min train journey.
