Hi, I’m Takota Coen, a 2nd generation organic farmer from central Alberta, Canada. Since 1988 my family has been applying innovative permaculture design and regenerative agriculture techniques to create a thriving farm ecosystem that produces nutrient-dense food. Our commitment to increasing the biodiversity of our land and the nutrient-density of our food has garnered international recognition and numerous awards. My family grows all of our own food on our 250 acre farm and we offer free delivery of our pasture raised raw milk fed pork, grass fed beef, free range eggs, frozen forest garden berries & herbal teas across Alberta to Edmonton, Camrose, Olds, Canmore & Calgary. In addition to farming, I also work with land stewards around the world who feel overwhelmed with the complexity of designing and managing land in a way that is ecologically regenerative, financially sustainable, functionally resilient ​& actually enjoyable. My courses, consulting, farm tours, apprenticeships and public speaking are designed to provide land managers with the tools to stop the grind and start growing the ​farm, ranch, or homestead of their dreams. I hold a Permaculture Design Certificate from The Permaculture Research Institute of Australia, a Holistic Management Certificate from Holistic Management International, and a Red Seal Journeyman Certificate for Carpentry. My life mission is to regenerate the health of the planet and its people, and to help others do the same.
