It was the Monster Mash! And it's a graveyard FLOP! TheHappySpaceman looks at this forgotten Halloween special.

TheHappySpaceman travels back to 1987, a year of hair metal songs, long hair wigs, and overacting shirtless Tom Cruises.

TheHappySpaceman looks at Daft Punk's animated musical, Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem, and realizes only too late that he could've made a Streetcar Named Desire joke. STELLAAAA!!!

Can TheHappySpaceman look past his dislike of K-pop to review the viral novelty Gangnam Style two years after its release? Also, he looks briefly at PSY's other songs, including Right Now, Gentleman and Hangover.

This was my second review posted, and also my second review to be removed from YouTube! Apparently I’m not allowed to talk about Jimi Hendrix music while using Jimi Hendrix music, so they removed it, but they were completely okay with that Jimi: All Is by My Side movie!

They eventually did re-upload it, but with the audio removed, and there really is no point in watching a review with the audio removed.

We are finally at the first of my reviews! I wasn’t originally intending for my reviews to become a recurring thing. I had created this one for a film class where we had watched the movie Metropolis, one of my favorites. When I discovered there was an anime sorta-remake, I watched it. In this video I compare the two. Some people have said I’m too harsh on the anime, but seeing how I’m not usually a fan of anime to begin with… eh. Also, forgive the stuttering, I was still new to this whole reviewing thing, and I wasn’t even intending to upload this on YouTube.

A live performance of a song that was on my debut album, Dark Matter, at C’ville Coffee in my hometown of Charlottesville, VA, on December 21, 2013. I have good memories of playing music with these guys.

This music video includes my first attempt at doing a green screen. We didn’t have an actual green screen, so we just used a tarp. In hindsight, we should have waited until we got a real green screen. LOL

This is still to this day one of my favorite songs to play. I usually use it to end my shows. This was also my first music video to feature an actual band with me.

This video used footage from the short film of the same name as well as some footage from my live performance at the Cubby Bear North in Chicago. The song features guitar from Doug Campbell and trombone from Larry Swift. Eventually I wound up using this song in my album Dark Matter.

The only thing I wish about this song is that it were more bluesy. For a song called “Procrastinator’s Blues,” there’s a lot of procrastinating in it, but not much blues.

Back when Stick Figures on Crack was popular on YouTube, I was a big fan of it, and was so inspired by it that I decided to make my own lesser quality version of it, titled Completely Normal. Hey, you know what they say about imitation being the most sincere form of flattery!

My early DAЯK MATTEЯ stuff was kind of silly, wasn’t it? This was my attempt at writing a love song despite only being 15 and never having been in love before. I remember we called in a friend of ours, Suzy Bowman, to play my girlfriend in the video.

Shooting this was quite fun. It helped that I had played the song in enough bars around town that it was already a fan favorite, so I decided to release it as a single and include it on my debut album, Dark Matter.

So this is kind of rare! This was an old brickfilm (LEGO movie) I made in 2011 for a school project. However, when I tried to upload the full version to YouTube, it wouldn’t go because it used copyrighted music, so I had to post an edited and shortened version on YouTube. The original one was lost to me until a few years ago, when I found it on an external hard drive.

I have made other brickfilms, but this was the only one I was really proud of. It’s about two guys who find a portal and use it to travel between universes. Yeah, it’s pretty stupid, and it’s two parts of the title of a much better and more original brickfilm, 1989′s The Magic Portal (widely believed for a long time to be the very first brickfilm ever).

Anyway, enjoy this dinky little animation!
